  • What number are you trying for? #3

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

    WTO/TWW? WTO

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4 and 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not too optimistic this long cycle.  I don’t think our timing will wind up being all that great.  We’ll see.

Any questions?  Any recommendations for preventing overnight leakage from Goodnights?  We have tried limiting liquids and taking bathroom trip right before bed.  We switched from pull ups months ago because of leakage.  Now we seem to be back to the same issue again.

GTKY: If you could time travel to any time period to hang out, what would you choose?  For nostalgic reasons probably the late 1990s. I like the ballads from that time.  And I could totally rock a track suit in a roller rink 😂

  • @dobbysfavoritesock is overnight diaper question for your 2 or 4 year old? We had to size up 2 sizes in pull-ups and that did the trick. But if it’s for your 4 year old there probably aren’t 2 more sizes up. But thought I’d share!
  • @bows22. Unfortunately it’s for the 4 year old.  They aren’t able to not pee in their sleep overnight yet.  There is another size goodnight we could use.  I just have been worried that it may not fit snuggly enough to prevent leaks since that size is supposed to go up to 120 lbs.  Might be worth a try to see.  Thanks for the suggestion!

  • @dobbysfavoritesock What about a sposies pad booster?
  • @demimondaine I have never seen them but they look promising.  Thanks! 😀

  • @dobbysfavoritesock great suggestions so far, I'll add that for overnight wetting we've done size up disposable and reusable diaper cover (multipacks are cheap on Amazon) and that always worked

What number are you trying for? 2

    Month/Cycle? 2/1

WTO/TWW? TWW but it doesn't count because our timing is O -5 .... So not happening this cycle

Ages of other child(ren)? 15 months

Any thoughts about this cycle? This was my first time using OPKs and it was so satisfying to watch the darkening sticks. It's so nice to know O date rather than guessing

Any questions? Do you littles go to daycare or school? DS is going to start in March and I'm both excited for him and terrified about him being away from us (we both work from home)

Rant/Rave? This cycle was a bust but my next predicted O date is Valentine's weekend so that would be nice 😁💘

GTKY: If you could time travel to any time period to hang out, what would you choose? If I could choose my race and class, then I would love to see victorian times in England... For just a day or two because I imagine it stinks in real life

  • What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? 2/2

    WTO/TWW? TWW

    Ages of other child(ren)? 6 & 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? It feels very promising! Timing was good, fingers crossed.

    Any questions?

What do you ladies feed your children! My 6 yo is super picky, Mac n cheese (though only Annie’s purple box) and chicken nugs everyday if he could. My little is a much better eater (I attribute to BLW), but I’ve noticed he is becoming pickier. Our go tos are getting old and I am out of ideas, but also refuse to make 2 dinners every night! Here’s what we typically have in constant rotation: sloppy joes, speg & meatballs, chicken taco bowls, breakfast for dinner, meatloaf, hamburger helper...

Rant/Rave? Rant: made beef stroganoff for dinner and neither DS touched it. I negotiated 2 bites each for 1/2 a mini ice cream sandwich each. Running out of ideas here...

GTKY: If you could time travel to any time period to hang out, what would you choose? 1920s so long as I’m a wealthy flapper girl!

  • *lurking*  planning to join the TTGP journey in late spring!

@misspricklepants I tend to have better luck getting mine to taste things they've helped make in the kitchen...  my 5 year old made tortilla pizzas (tortillas with squeeze pizza sauce and cheese) for us for lunch about 2 weeks ago and he said it was the best pizza he'd ever had...   admittedly, it was not, but he was so proud that he ate every bite and asked to help cook dinner.
We also like kid-cuterie.  I cut lots of things up in small pieces and put them on a tray like a charcuterie board.  Cheese, pepperoni, strawberries, cucumber, anything I've got in the pantry.
I've also hidden veggies in other foods...  DS and DD love zucchini bread, they can't taste shredded carrots in marinara, that kind of thing.

I try to remind myself that the food they're eating is one of the few things they feel like they can exercise control over.  It's a pain, but it gives them the feeling of control.

@jlbaker08 kid-cuterie is brilliant, thank you! My 6yo LOVES to help in the kitchen, but I often have the “faster and easier if I do it myself” mentality... I’ll definitely try to incorporate them more! Funnily enough we just did DIY pizzas, but the kid doesn’t even eat cheese let alone toppings so that was a short and sweet experience haha!

  • @marbellie DS started daycare ( just once or twice a week) at 18m and it was so good for him! He hadn't really been around kids much, so he needed it!
