@emeraldduchess and @grizzlymama86 Ah yes with the itchy boobs/nipples. With my first, I had TERRIBLE stretch marks on my boobs and hardly any anywhere else.... I can already start to see the scars from my first set of stretch marks reappearing. I just ordered bio-oil based on Amazon reviews but I'm having trouble remembering to put it on. I would love if anyone has a suggestion for a go-to stretch mark/itchy stretchy skin cream/butter/oil product!
@Knottie1424663410 my jeans are suddenly uncomfortable too. Between the bloat and nausea, the pressure is too much. I think my mat jeans will still be too big so maximizing my sweat pants for now. The only thing I currently look forward to is sleep. I am so tired and frankly don’t enjoy being awake due to the nausea and challenge of eating through food aversions. Can’t wait till this passes.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast breaouts was what made me take a test...it's one of the first symptoms I had with my first two! Unfortunately..I haven't found anything that works..my face and chest break out and pretty much stay gross throughout my entire pregnancy... but with DS2 it literally completely cleared up within a month after birth.
I wore jeans tonight and am seriously regretting it. I gained a fair amount with the fertility treatments so they were already tight now add pregnancy bloat. I think regular jeans are done for me for a while.
@Centralmnmom - I've been having the same issue with not a whole lot sounding good. Spent a few days last week mainly eating protein and carbs. Veggies aren't sounding good, so I ended up making chili on Thursday it lets me "hide" my veggies and I used beans to add in some extra fiber.
@Aerialmrs I used bio oil with my first. I would put it on after every shower. But I also got stretch marks only on my boobs. I would also use my regular moisturizer at least once a day.
@sawasap I ordered a couple pairs of maternity jeans for pick up from Target to try on. I had to get rid of all my old maternity from my first pregnancy since I lost a significant amount of weight since then they wouldn't have fit.
The only time I wear jeans anymore is when I go grocery shopping (so I don't get my sweatpants dirty lol), and this morning I had to wear them completely unbuttoned and unzipped. I had one of those belly band things from my first, so I tried that, but I forgot how much they SUCK. They just roll around and the butt of my jeans ends up super saggy and falling down. I might pack up my regular jeans and put them up in my closet to just get them out of my face.
Also, pro-tip: a great way to not buy a bunch of junk food when you go grocery shopping is to go when you're experiencing morning sickness.
@aerialmrs I'm a big fan of using a pontytail holder to keep my jeans up (loop around the button, through the button hole) and shirts long enough to cover up the fact that I can't zip my pants..I did this from about 11W-30W last year/pregnancy.
Also -- for maternity clothes I always hit up Goodwill or your local thrift store! A lot of times clothes are in pristine condition since they aren't used for super long. I found the best pair of GAP maternity leggings at goodwill last year for $4! Also, Goodwill always gets Target's past season stuff brand new for super cheap, so they always have tons of maternity jeans/shorts from there!
@Centralmnmom I bought a few pairs of yoga dress pants recently, so hoping those will work until I start actually showing and not just bloating.
@Aerialmrs Good tip on the groceries! For right now, I should be okay because I have a huge aversion to sweet food (which is really disappointing because I was absolutely looking for an excuse to indulge my sweet tooth) and I just want bell peppers and stone fruit 🤷♀️
@whatabout2ndbreakfast I have noticed more breakouts. It seems to of calmed down some but I looked like I had just hit puberty for a week or so. It was awful. Aren’t acne medications/creams etc on the list of things to avoid while pregnant? I don’t typically use them so I have never had to really worry about it but it has always been something I have avoided when buying new face cleaners
@emeraldcity1214 I’m not sure if all of them are? I know nothing with retinol. I didn’t end up buying any because I wasn’t sure either - I’ve been holding warm compresses on them and that’s been working pretty well.
@whatabout2ndbreakfast It sounds like you’re having cystic acne. Ugh, I used to get those when I lived down south. I’m pretty sure it was from the environment because as soon as we moved I stopped getting them. They are so painful.
For good stretch jeans that aren't specifically maternity jeans I go with Fashion Nova. Seems like a really odd choice because they advertise as being such a "sexy" brand, but the ones I'm wearing right now are the same ones I wore post pregnancy and they're so soft and stretchy. They feel like leggings, but look like regular jeans. Once I'm too big for these I have another pair from fashion nova, just in a larger size, and then when I outgrow them I have a pair from Walmart that just have a stretchy waist band (again not specifically maternity jeans, but really work well for the purpose!).
I find that "real" maternity jeans are so expensive, and usually so ugly too. I'm on week 5 today, still SO bloated, but that's it thank goodness.
