Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Daycare during a pandemic

My son is 2 months old (healthy and has had his first round of vaccinations). My maternity leave ended and while I still have the option to work from home full time my job is very demanding. I would never be able to do it if he were home all day with me. So my husband and I chose to put him in a small state regulated homebased daycare facility operated in the basement of a woman's home. Since it's state regulated she has covid procedures she must follow. She is the only adult working with the children. She can only watch 6 children a day and only 1 child under 1. Plus all children older than 2 must wear a mask all day. She takes the child's temperature at the door before they can enter the space. I do feel my son is in a low risk environment by going there but I still find myself worrying and constantly praying he doesn't get covid. I am a first time mom so I find myself praying a lot more than usual these days. Has anyone else struggled with this and if so how do you cope?
