First Trimester cramping and back pain

Hey mamas! 

I just found out that I am pregnant with baby number 2, Christmas morning. With my son, I had no pregnancy symptoms other than mood swings and constipation. I’m a bit concerned this time because, although (thankfully) I haven’t experienced any nausea, I have had mild but consistent cramping (similar to menstrual cramping) and lower back pain. I’ve also been more tired, super hungry and I’m peeing all of the time (which I know is normal). My biggest concern (other than the cramping and lower back pain) is the fact that I haven’t been constipated at all. My husband tells me to stay off of the internet, but I can’t help it. The first articles that popped up were about ectopic pregnancy. I have too much anxiety to wait for my doctors appointment so I was hoping that someone that has experienced anything similar to this could shed some light on it. Thanks so much!

Be happy you don't have constipation???  Listen to your husband.  Make your 1st appointment and talk to your doctor.  If you start have dehabilitating pain and severe bleeding call your doctor ASAP.

Just to ease your mind I had menstrual like cramps with my second and current (4th) pregnancy.  Both times I put on a pad and waited days for a period until I realized it didn’t seem to be coming.   1st pregnancy I had major implantation twinges just a few days after conception, felt like a very low, stretchy pain, very different from menstrual cramp feeling, and that’s it.  3rd one nothing.  And this 4th one I had the implantation cramps very early again, and then the menstrual like cramps exactly at period time.  

They’re really all so different.  My sister has two kids, the first one she was medicated for vomiting the whole pregnancy and still threw up multiple times a day until the day she delivered.    Second one....mild nausea and maybe once weekly vomiting.

Thank you so much! Due to the holidays, I still haven’t been able to see a doctor, but this makes me feel better!
