I’m looking for any and all nutrition tips. I just left my obgyn for my annual and saw a very unpleasant number on the scale 😡 I’ve been working out consistently so I know it’s not that, and my former diet trick (pretty much just eating less) is not working anymore. Any program or system that you’ve used recently that works?

@fameonmain2 the only thing that has ever helped me lose actual weight was Whole30 but I'm the type of person that needs strict rules to follow in order to stick to it. If I just say I'm going to eat less or count calories or cut back on sweets I won't do it. MH also had success with Keto. I really would like to lose like 10-15 lbs but my desire to eat Christmas cookies is currently greater.

@fameonmain2 I just started a program called THM. It’s basically just separating your fuels. So if you eat a high fat meal, make sure there aren’t any carbs with it. If you eat a high carb meal leave out the fats. You’re suppose to eat protein at every meal as the “anchor.” You’re also suppose to eat every 3 hours so your body doesn’t hold onto unnecessary weight. I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks. 

It’s called Trim Healthy Mama. I have watched a close friend of mine lose an entire person worth of weight in 6 months. She doesn’t even look like the same person. Watching her lose all the weight is why I started looking into it. I have been 20 lbs overweight for awhile and nothing I was doing would make the scale budge.

@fameonmain2 I've tried a lot of programs but the only one I've had success on is Noom (I actually just renewed on it after a few weeks of slipping). It's a paid program, but you can do a trial for two weeks. I like it because it focuses more on the psychology behind eating and the reasons we eat the way we do.

@fantasyflyte That happened to me yesterday and it was because I wasn’t logged in. I had to go back out and login.

@krash_ I'm actually starting a new round of Whole30 on Jan 1 or 2nd (since Jan has 31 days, I'm actually thinking on the 2nd). Do you and YH have plans to do another one in 2021?

I’m back at the ER vet but with my puppy this time. He ate something and was struggling to poop this morning. Then he started vomiting this afternoon. After he emptied his stomach he was vomiting white foam. Then he got lethargic so I rushed him in.

They couldn’t find an actual object on the X-rays so they kept him overnight flor fluids and anti nausea and diarrhea meds. There is a place on the X-rays that looks suspect so they are giving him fluids and anti nausea and diarrhea meds to see if that place changes with another X-ray.

@emeraldcity1214 I’m sorry to hear your pup isn’t feeling great. Hopefully the medication and monitoring will help him get back to his normal self.

@acleverusername we don’t have plans for another one. I am going to try to cut back on sugar and all the treats though. Is YH doing it with you?

@krash_ MH IS "kind of" doing it with me. In that, he'll eat all the right foods, but he generally doesn't eat more than 2 meals a day, so he won't do the 3 meals a day aspect of it. What can you do?! He's just never hungry in the mornings. I finally decided to start it tomorrow since I had some left-over dairy and didn't want to chuck it out; been finishing all of that up today.
