R/R: Good news, my sister's second covid test was negative!
This weekend was pretty decent. I got a good chunk of my Christmas shopping done on Saturday. The most stressful part of it was ordering my SIL's gift. She and my brother live in Italy so I was navigating Italian Amazon and taking my best guesses at the translation. It wasn't until I was putting in her address that I finally found the English translation button 🤣. Easily the most stressed out I've ever been with online shopping though.
Otherwise, I stayed up way too late watching the Bills beat the Steelers last night (sorry @bows22. But not really 🤣)

@gingermama29 I’m glad your sisters test came back negative! The Amazon experience sounds so stressful! But it’s so nice that you are able to send them a gift that way! Living in Italy sounds so dreamy.

R/R: We had an okay weekend. We saw a couple of friends for the first time in a while, and it was weird. They’re on the verge of separating after several years, because he runs around all the time, and is never home, gambles and plays golf non stop. She is my best friend, and I feel so bad for her. And he’s trying to say she’s having an affair, but he just told dh and then told him not to tell me. So it was just really weird. I love my friends, but it all just felt really toxic and like something we want no part in. I just hope they find a resolution soon. It’s sad. And my other friend TW: pregnancy

Told me her and her husband are ttc, and it brought up bad feelings for me because she was pregnant when we started this journey.  

I would consider myself I highly sensitive person, so after this weekend I’m just focusing on myself and getting thorough the holidays. My emotions need a break. 🥴

@gingermama29 I was too annoyed about my fantasy football team and I didn’t even watch it. But I thought of you when I saw we lost hahaha. I guess we can’t win all of them!

@photographerwife ugh that situation sounds hard to navigate. But I’m glad you are able to be there for your friend, it sounds like she needs it

R/R: We had a nice but busy (somehow) weekend. We saw a lot of Christmas light displays, apparently this is our new thing haha. I got some Christmas shopping done which will hopefully motivate me to finish up in the next couple of days. We also celebrated our wedding anniversary and am feeling very thankful for DH and the life we have. I have some stuff to wrap up this week at work and then I’ll be off until the new year. Overall things are good and the BFN didn’t get me (too) down!

@bows22 Happy anniversary! I got some Christmas shopping done too. I was getting some anxiety about it, but I should be pretty close to done. I just need to mail out to family and pick up some other odds and ends 

@photographerwife. I have a close friend in a similar position with her SO. The paranoia about cheating always makes me feel that they are the likely cheater.

@gingermama29 thank goodness for the negative test! phew! Major lol at your Amazon Italy shopping experience now we all just have to worry about whether or not our packages will arrive on time! Was it this year your brother and SIL were going to get married in Italy or was the plan always going to be next year?

R/R: I got a bunch of Christmas gifts ordered this weekend and I wrapped all the gifts that I already had so yay! I just need to go out and get a Hobby Lobby gift card for my SIL and I'm all set! (rant time haha) I just hope all my stuff arrives on time. I ordered something for DH during a cyber monday deal and it still hasn't arrive! The tracking info says it will be delayed. I think they shipped it to the wrong distribution center or something. Then there's another item that I bought for myself that got shipped to the next town over so the tracking info just says "alert" because of incorrect forwarding info or incorrect address or zip code. IDK WTF that means, but USPS is really failing me right now and I don't want that kind of negativity in my life! I just want my packages! DH is also dealing with his contacts order being delayed. I think he was expecting it all last week. It got moved to Friday and now it's just saying delivery will be delayed. I really should have put this in the Monday BF thread

CS/Q: my temps are being a bit rocky. I liked it better when I had cycles with consistent temps in the TWW lol. I had a decent dip on Saturday so cue the SS since my last BFP had a massive temp dip (but at 9dpo). Also something didn't agree with my stomach on Saturday so that just played even more into my "am I KU" thoughts. Is ThIs NaUsEa?

@gingermama29 LOL @ your experience shopping Amazon.it. The Italian language is so beautiful; I hope you enjoyed trying to make sense of it. Did you use Google Translate at all? It actually works pretty well. (Also this brought memories of a time when I had to order something for my dad on a German website; that was hellish.)

@photographerwife Focusing in yourself is the only thing we can do when everything else is spinning out of control. One of my recent purchases arrived with a card that read: "self love is the biggest middle finger of all." I pinned it on my fridge.  Do you have anything specific you're planning to do? 

@bows22 Happy Anniversary! Sounds like you had a very nice weekend celebrating. Good luck wrapping up your work projects. 

@emmylou78 in these extraordinary circumstances, this is only time you'll here me say that I hope you can get your vaccine. I was listening to an Egg Whisperer podcast this weekend, and something she said about traveling during fertility treatments made me realize that if I don't get a vaccine before getting KU'ed, I won't be able for a LOOOOOONG time. 

@inthewoods23 LOL at the USPS negativity in your life! For sure that's not required. I hope all of your packages arrives by Christmas. I had to sign up for Amazon Prime in Canada this weekend as I ordered all of the gifts for my family, and there was a risk that they wouldn't arrive at their destinations in time. 🤦🏼‍♀️

R/R: we purchased our Christmas tree this weekend and it's currently sitting unadorned in our living room; we don't have any decorations since this is MH's and mine first Christmas as a married couple, and the first time we're celebrating on our own. So, we're having to start from scratch when it comes to decor and MH is EXTREMELY PICKY. I call him the "Chief Decorating Officer." Luckily, we do have similar tastes so I always like what he ends up getting. Anyway, we ordered a bunch of decorations from Wayfair / MoMa and they're all supposed to arrive between now and Dec 3. I'm excited! I LOOOOOOVE decorating for Christmas. When I moved to the US, I stored all of my "long term" belongings at my sister's and I think 1/2 of those were Christmas decorations. This year she actually decided to use some of them. I don't mind, and I don't blame her. 

CS/Q: Nope; according to Oura ring though, my temps have been at baseline for the past 2 days, so ... meh.

@photographerwife that situations sounds super stressful. I’m glad you can be there for your friend but I agree that it has a lot of toxic energy. I hope they are able to come to a mutual and peaceful decision.

@inthewoods23 the shipping of things right now has been awful! I have had so many packages delayed or not delivered. Not a very convenient time for this things to happen. I hope you get all your packages soon!

R/R: I put this in the Randoms because I needed to vent but I’ve been quarantined. I had to go in building for a training last week and one of the two people I was around developed symptoms 36 hours after our training and tested positive yesterday. She identified me as a close contact and because of that, I’ve been quarantined. We wore masks the entire time and we weren’t within 6ft of each other for more than 15 minutes, but it doesn’t matter because she identified me. So I now am wearing a mask in my house until I can get tested on Wednesday. If those results come back negative I can resume normal activity, which means I won’t wear a mask in my house and I’ll still stay out until my full 10 days are over. But I’m annoyed because I haven’t been in building since the second week of October and the ONE TIME I go in, I get exposed. 🤬🤬🤬 thats is all.

CS/Q: Temps are slow to rise, but rising.

@chindimples04 we were simul-posting! I hope you get your test results ASAP! At least you know deep down that it's very unlikely that you got anything from your colleague. Also, how is wearing a mask at home supposed to be helpful?

R/R: Feeling a little salty. I logged on today to find a message with the ominous "you've been warned" title. There was a thread yesterday where a new person jumped on about a issues she was having and then proceeded to be really, really rude. I started out being nice, but reminded her of the rules. Then she proceeded to flaunt that she had other children and that we were all bitter. I made one comment, "Wow, such hateful and immature comments. I hope you teach your children to be better human beings than you are being here." Sure, not my best moment, but nothing as bad as what she was posting. Turns out, I got a warning for it violating the group norms. I will move on...but still, was surprised I somehow ended up with a warning from that thread (which I reported/asked to be removed). Bit myself in the butt I guess. 

I am not sure if others saw it, but I know @krash_ did. Did you get a warning?

CS/Q: nothing.

chindimples04 I am sorry, that sucks. I am in the same situation. I am quarantined due to an employee identifying me as a close contact (we physically have to touch/share a lot of things). I was mad because she told me she was not hanging out with people, but turns out she threw a dang party and got COVID, but was asymptomatic for a while. Stay safe, healthy and sane!

@acleverusername: hahaha, my husband is the same. This was the first christmas we truly decorated. Before, for 17 years of being together, we only had a very simple tree. But my husband insisted we go all out (I think it's the quarantine/COVID thing. He went out and spent $400 on decor for the house and stuff outside. He actually surprisingly has good taste....but it's a lot of stuff. And he was very picky about what he got.

@acleverusername my fingers are crossed so hard for your betas! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 I’m wearing a mask at home to protect those that I live with, in case I am positive and just asymptomatic. Keeping my distance, too, washing my hands constantly, and disinfecting the house often.

@bmo88 I read that thread and would have been far less tame in my response than you were. TBG have gotten soft. 🤬 Also, I would be PISSED if my coworker threw a party and spread COVID. I am angry about my exposure and she contacted it through community spread.

chindimples04 Yeah, it's absolutely infuriating she threw a party. But karma came back around...she now has to cancel her trip to Puerto Rico that she planned to go on next week. Why would someone host something that could expose themselves right before a vacation? Seems like a poor decision...

@bmo88 @krash_ do you remember what their username was? I recall it being something along the lines of mommyof3grls. You can look their profile up to see if they were banned. My assumption is that they ban those that created the threads they delete.

@bmo88 I got 2 warnings once from a similar thread. I said I hoped the BGs removed the evil comments and also told her to “just go” and apparently each deserved a warning. So unfair.

@inthewoods23 they had talked about summer of 2021 but made the decision a few months ago that they are going to plan for July 2022. Hopefully covid will be long gone by then! Ugh sorry for the annoyance of delivery issues. That's so frustrating. Hopefully you'll get it soon!

My knowledge of it is limited to singing though my 6 years of learning French helped me make some educated guesses about words. Yay for new Christmas decorations! Dying at your nickname for YH.

@chindimples04 I wouldn't have thought of amazon.it either but my brother suggested it. He also sent a direct link to what SIL was interested in so that was super helpful. Ughhhh that's so frustrating about your exposure! I hope you get a negative result quickly! We're still 100% in person in my district. I'm shocked we haven't had to shut down at all.

Oh wow, @chindimples04. I guess they’re playing it extra safe. It probably all depends on where you work. They wouldn’t consider that an exposure where I work. FX for cd 17 O because then I’d only be 7dpo. About once a year I get a weirdly long cycle. Plus timing would’ve been ok.
