What do you need to vent about today?

I have some bills to pay with the OB and clinic related to my loss and tracking my HCG down. They're technically separate entities so the lab bills were through the clinic and not through the OB. Based on the total I was like WTF why is it costing me over $100 for a simple blood draw and HCG check? This is less than I pay for the ultrasounds! For a brief moment I almost vowed to go back to the other medical group that my RE is in since it appeared to be way cheaper.

Upon further inspection, the lab bills were billed with a "uninsured discount" applied. So WTF why did this not go through my insurance??

@inthewoods23 sorry you have to deal with the extra paperwork, but luckily this is easily corrected with a phone call. Your clinic probably didn't share the insurance info with the lab (whether accidentally or on purpose I don't know). 

My family is so weird about Christmas gifts. Each year, Mom / Dad request a list of what we want. I honestly don't want any gifts... what's most important to me is celebrating Christmas with my family (on a normal year; this year it will by Zoom). I know my sister feels the same way. Anyone else have this problem?

@inthewoods23 Ugh, I’m sorry you’re having to deal with that. Medical bills & insurance are some of the worst things to have to figure out. 

@acleverusername I feel you on just wanting to spend time together. We have an odd dynamic in our family where everyone feels major pressure to provide gifts to our siblings who are single. Then we don’t get gifts for those of us who are in a couple. 

My WTF is in my screenshots below. Yesterday I had to travel to a specialist dr appointment. The ride back to the airport to go home was... interesting. I sent MH a play-by-play:

*Driver’s race mentioned only because I was surprised by his views. Which is stereotypical thinking on my part.

@keikilove I had to look up InfoWars because I've heard of it but didn't know exactly what it was and the host bio mentions "America's leading conspiracy theorist" and I went OHHH BOY. I would have wanted to sink into my seat as far as possible with the things your Uber driver was saying. There's no convincing those types of people.

I'm fine with a lighthearted conspiracy theory, like weird alternate versions of events or meanings in TV shows, but not stuff related to public health or science! I'm fine with being annoyed that DH is so firmly in the Toby from The Office is the Scranton Strangler camp haha because it doesn't hurt anybody. Annnnd he might also believe in the Illuminati lol. It's also entirely possible that he makes these claims as a form of humor with me

@inthewoods23 @keikilove I have a special hate in my heart for Alex Jones and infowars for the anguish he's caused a lot of people, and the fact that his crap spouting actively puts other people in danger.
