What's for dinner?

edited December 2020 in August 2021 Moms
I'm making a simple potato soup. Apparently soup is all I can cook right now. Ha. I'm super excited because the potatoes, milk, ans butter all come from a farm up the road.

  • A rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes. Wasn't in the mood to cook anything.
  • @Gwyneddlesliegrace funny you mention potato soup. My parents and their neighbors are basically quarantining together (their yards connect and they are best friends). They started a weekly soup dinner where one fam hosts and only makes soup with bread and wine. The other couple isn’t allowed to bring anything. Anyway she was making potato soup when I talked to her this afternoon and it sounded SO good.

Do you think there is anyway to adapt your recipe to be dairy free?

I made a big pot of homemade sauce and meatballs yesterday. Half of the meatballs were frozen for a quick meal later. For leftovers tonight I put the sauce and meatballs over roasted spaghetti squash and it was delicious. Tomorrow will be a NYT recipe of roasted chicken with homemade green goddess dressing. I haven’t made it before but my friend raves about it. I’m sick of our usual menu rotation so excited to try something new.
