Re: Newbie intros w/o 12/7

  • ***TW**** loss

Ages (you and SO): 32 and 34

How many months have you been TTC?: 1st month

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: DTD, OPKs

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)

We have a 3 year old daughter, two dogs and both work in education.

I got Mirena out back in July and did an intro here at that time.

We are finally starting TTC, but trying to be a little more chill this time. I went all out with FF app, OPKs and incessant testing last time. It stressed me and my DH out, especially after a rocky start with an early loss. So I am trying to be a little more calm and just DTD around when I think O might be. Occasional OPKs just to better relearn my cycle.

  • Welcome @rgn12!  Does your child love having so many pets around?  It sounds like a lot of fun.

Welcome @bmo88, and I am so sorry for your loss.  I hope your journey going forward is less stressful.
    **TW** TTC History
    TTC#3 since Nov 2020 at ages 35 & 39
    TTC#1 - 2 IVF cycles, 4 transfers, 2 miscarriages (LC age 4)
TTC#2 - a very welcome surprise without intervention (LC age 2)

  • Hi ladies, looks like I’m back. 😞

TW- loss both in spoiler and at the end*
I have felt it in my gut the last 2 days. My lines weren’t getting darker, my symptoms faded, my temps dropped, and now I’m bleeding. The silver lining is that it isn’t going to drag out for weeks. I’m sad. To make this even more of a sad event, it’s happening right before the 2nd anniversary of the birth of our angel. So I guess I can just add this to my grief this week. I plan to eat my feeling and cry a lot. I’m seeing my best friend in a few minutes and I’m pretty sure when she hugs me I’m going to just cry in her shoulder. I feel lucky to have an IRL friend that I can confide in for support.

Ages (you and SO):  36 and 43

How many months have you been TTC?: this next cycle will be 3 and 1 AL

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I will likely get some OPKs and track BBT and CM. I’m not planning to test early again. The stress of this week has taken a toll and I’m not ready to repeat it any time soon.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have 5 beautiful kids and an angel (early second tri loss). My husband is a doctor and I’m a SAHM who homeschools. We live in a small mountain town in Alaska. My hobbies are binging TV, crocheting, sewing, and crafting with my silhouette machine. I have tons of projects that I have bought supplies to create and I have finished a small fraction of them. It doesn’t stop me from buying though. We have a cat that bites. He is still on quarantine because I can’t seem to get the right email address to the vet to get him off. I have a Jack Russell puppy who chews everything in sight. He is a little maniac but he can give some incredible puppy snuggles so I keep him around.

  • @emeraldcity1214 oh no, I'm so sorry to see you back here. Sending hugs <3

  • **TW loss**

Ages (you and SO): 36 and 34

How many months have you been TTC?: Technically since August, but I've only had one cycle since then as I am still bfing and stopped my bc at the beginning of August (just realized I had a CP yesterday). Before getting pregnant with DS (he's almost 2) I had a MMC with spontaneous triplets (!) so this whole journey has really been a rollercoaster. I'd love to have two kids.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPKs

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a lovely 22 month old boy, my husband and I are professors at a small liberal arts college. I'm into baking, cooking, yoga - handy for this always at home period of our lives! I love my friends from my first BMB and thought maybe it would be nice to have support this time around as well.

  • @emeraldcity1214 sorry for your loss <3

@eggsandwich2019 spontaneous triplets :o I don't think I could wrap my head around that! It's fun to watch those reactions in Youtube videos though lol. welcome!

  • Ages (you and SO): 33 and 36

How many months have you been TTC?: 1

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: sex, basically. I went a little crazy when I was trying to conceive my first and found it so stressful with temping and tracking and OPKs, so for now we're just dtd and see what happens.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have two kids, DS is 4 and DD is 2. No pets, but I'm hoping we can get a dog within the next year or two!

I mostly love baking. If you have a recipe to share, always always always tag me 🤪.
  • @rgn12 Welcome!
@bmo88 Thanks for re-intro'ing. I remember your from back in July, but we've (thankfully) had a lot of turnover here since then. Hopefully it continues!
@emeraldcity1214 I am sorry for your early loss. :(
@eggsandwich2019 Welcome and I'm sorry for you triple loss! Good luck and we're here to support you.
@poodledoodleooo Welcome! I love the "sex, basically". That's definitely a start! You should definitely check out our Crafing/Baking/Home Improvement thread; we've got a few bakers on here.

  • @acleverusername thanks! We don't have a ton of support, none of our family lives close by. I do have a babysitter that comes two afternoons each week, and that helps a lot.
  • @acleverusername Thanks. We changed our ceremony to be about 24 people instead of 125. We also postponed our reception and hope to have a wedding celebration next summer.
