Happy Thanksgiving all! I suspect it's gonna be a quiet day here today!

    Month/Cycle: 10/11

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: Clomid + Menopur + Trigger + IUI cycle; as usual, lots of vitamins and supplements for MH and I. I'm also going to do a bunch of blood tests this cycle to check for autoimmune conditions and anti-inflammatory markers.

R/R: I'm struggling making a gluten-free pie crust; tried making it last night, but then gave up! Trying again this morning.

We're celebrating Thanksgiving with really close friends of ours.

    TW Friends’ LC

MH and I both took a Covid test since they have a baby and are very cautious. It was worth it to see them and the baby.

MH and I are doing most of the cooking; he just put the turkey on the smoker since we're smoking it! Should take about 4-5 hours to cook.

Otherwise, today is day 3 of Clomid. I thankfully have no side effects.

    CS/Q: Nope

    ETA TW and spoiler! Doh!

@acleverusername Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy visiting with your friends and that’s great that you aren’t having side effects  I hope that continues.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: CD19

WAYDTGKU: Temping with TD, tracking CM and CP

R/R: Yesterday was a rough drive. The roads were icy and DH was driving fast so I ended up beating the hell out of my door and the dash. 😂 He got so mad at me but I couldn’t help it. Icy roads scare me and we were going through several mountain passes with icy bridges. We also stopped and dropped off some groceries to a friend who’s parents tested positive for COVID. They don’t have grocery pickup where they live. My shoulder and back are hurting more today and I’m sure it’s due to sitting in the car all day yesterday.

CS/Q:  My temp shot up an entire degree this morning. It will most likely adjust down some tomorrow but hopefully not far enough to take my shift away.

Didn’t make it back to the thread yesterday and you were the 2 I missed!

@acleverusername good luck with the crust! Glad you’re getting to celebrate with some friends!

@emeraldcity1214 icy roads scare me too. Glad you made it safely! And also glad it seems like you ovulated before you left!

    Month/Cycle: 24/27

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, Tracking CM

R/R: I actually got to watch some of the parade today since I didn’t have to make anything super early (we usually do lunch with one family and dinner with the other in normal years). MH hung our Christmas lights and I played with our dog outside (we officially trust him “off leash” with the invisible fence and we had a lot of fun!) My parents are delivering dinner to us tonight and DH’s sister brought us wine and dessert so we are all set. I wish it didn’t have to be this way but the slower pace is definitely a silver lining!

@emeraldcity1214 yowza! That drive sounds harrowing and I’m sorry you got more bumps and bruises on top of the ones from your sledding accident! Hopefully you can have a relaxing break so that your bones and soft tissue both have a chance to heal.

@bows22 how was YH’s birthday?! It sounds like despite everything, you’re managing to have a nice holiday. Enjoy the dinner wine and dessert “donations”.

Update: pie crust happened! As did the pie! It’s not perfect but given that it’s my first attempt at everything, I’ll just roll with it. I’m not much of a baker so I don’t have super high expectations of myself.

Also ... I just realized I didn’t use a TW in my earlier post! 😧 Gonna edit it now...

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 16

WAYDTGKU: prenatals & using an app to track my period and CM

R/R: Thanksgiving has been lovely and quiet today. I made rolls, which were a perfect vehicle to honey butter, yum! It's just us and my parents, who we've seen several times over the course of Covid days, and we consider them to be within our very small bubble. I'm vegetarian but I love Thanksgiving because there is plenty for me to eat with all of the sides. The turkey is the only thing I don't eat, and that's just fine! We always eat early, like at 3pm, and then wait a few hours before dessert. As I'm writing, we are in between "dinner" and dessert

CS/Q: I've technically already ovulated, but we chickened out this cycle due to mostly inconvenience, and are starting for real next month, so I'm sticking it out in WTO for awhile. CM question in spoiler:

How long does it take for CM to significantly change or dry up? I think I ovulated on Tuesday, when I definitely had EW CM, but it's still not dried up yet 2 days later, though it definitely isn't the same EW consistency as it was on Tuesday. I thought I knew enough about all this from last time, but it's been awhile and apparently I'm rusty. I'm trying to pay attention now so I have good info to rely on for the next cycle.

@acleverusername It sounds like you're having a great day! Glad you aren't experiencing any negative side effects from the Clomid!

@emeraldcity1214 Icy roads scare me so much, too!! I grew up in Michigan (ie learned to drive there) and used to live in Philadelphia area and have definitely had some scary situations on icy and snowy roads, no fun! I haven't done a ton of driving around mountains in icy weather, that sounds terrifying!

@bows22 We watched most of the parade today too, and though I know they were missing the usual crowds, it didn't seem that abnormal watching it from home, it was nice

    Happy Thanksgiving all!

@bows22 We got our lights up last week. I love having lights on the house. I’m glad the slower pace is refreshing and relaxing. Enjoy your wine and desert.

@acleverusername All my aches are still from the sledding accident. I thought I was healing up okay but apparently not. Your pie looks amazing!

@Aerialmrs For me, it only takes a day or two for CM to fully dry up. It’s usually dried up significantly that unless I’m doing an internal check I wouldn’t even know that there was anything there the day after I have the most CM. Then it tapers off to lots of creamy and then sticky. You typically ovulate on the days you have the most CM. When I have used OPKs I have always gotten a positive on the first day I have tons of EW/watery CM and I assume ovulation occurs within that 48 hour period. If you have peak and then don’t experience a dry period afterwards you likely didn’t ovulate and your body will likely try again.

@acleverusername we had fun celebrating his bday, thanks for asking! It felt a little lackluster but he assured me that it was perfect for a quarantine birthday. For his “special takeout” he was like honestly I just want Red Robin, so that’s what we had and it was delicious! Haha

@Aerialmrs I usually see some fertile CM for 2 days after I ovulate. I know if you have CM for more than 2 days after O, FF will give you dotted CHs so it must consider it to be questionable.

  • Options
@emeraldcity1214 and @bows22 Thanks for the feedback, this is helpful. I am also seeing elsewhere that EW is not peak, but watery is? Also my body just skips sticky I think... I'm complaining only because there's time to complain I guess. I'm glad our bodies have these signals, but it is a lot to learn!
  • Options
@Aerialmrs Different sources will tell you different things about EW and watery. The app I uses classifies watery as more fertile than EWCM. They are both considered peak so it doesn’t really matter. Either of those are a good sign although watery can be harder to classify.
