GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why?

Rant/Rave? DH is getting tested for COVID which means I can’t send DD to daycare until he’s negative. I was going to be spending the next three days alone working in converting the guest room into a playroom but now that DD is home, there is no way I’m going to be able to do that. I’m super bummed. I was looking forward to some alone time and setting up an awesome play space for DD.

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why? NYC or somewhere warm (and blue) down south. My sister lives in NYC and I love being out there to visit. So much to do. And I just really despise winter, so anything without snow and cold would make me happy!

Any thoughts about this cycle? We have ended up getting good timing and I’m ready for my temp to spike so I can just sit back and relax.

Rant/Rave? I obviously didn’t mention this in the dialies but when I got in my sledding accident my 5 year old was with me on the sled. I have never been so shaken up. If we had gone under the van facing forward he would have taken the entire brunt of the impact and been seriously injured. Luckily we went backwards and my body shielded his. Now I’m pretty terrified of them sledding. We are suppose to go this afternoon and I plan to bring their helmets and I may even say no and just tell them to go play on the playground. 

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why? We have moved all over the country in the last 10 years. We thought we would live in TX forever and that didn’t work out and I’m hoping this is our forever home. The only thing I hate are the earthquakes. If we moved again, I would want to live in Hawaii for awhile. It’s just so beautiful and it’s our favorite vacation place.

eta: I just saw your chart. It looks great. That wasn’t even a temp dip. I would consider it a dip if it went all the way back down closer to your first few post ov temps. Plus it’s still well above the coverline.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Nope, not tracking so I don't know whats going on and its pretty refreshing

Rant/Rave? Yesterday was hard: a makeup influencer whom I watch to forget about infertility announced her pregnancy because of course and my son asked me if he can get a baby for Christmas and I saw the cutest happiest baby at the grocery store and it was all too much. 

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why? Colorado. I miss mountains and I want snow... Plusalso weed is legal and it helps hubs pain better than any prescription.

@emeraldcity1214 it’s more of a feeling than anything. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am so glad your little is okay. That sounds terrifying. I would for sure say no to sledding for a while, just out of fear!
@legendairymomma oh, I forgot about Colorado! I always wanted to love there!

@chindimples04 We are bringing helmets today but I’m pretty confident I won’t be letting them. My friend said it’s a steep hill and I just don’t think I’m ready for them to do anything like that. There are 2 playgrounds nearby so that will likely be what we do.

@emeraldcity1214 so scary! I haven't read the full story on the daily's but I also would not be letting them sled again for a bit. 
@legendairymomma ugh sorry about your rough day. I feel like I have seen so many influencers announce their pregnancies recently. One last week I actually really appreciated that she shared a slide before her announcement on stories to kind of give a heads up. It was great to kind of prepare myself.

Any thoughts about this cycle? excited about the possibilities now that we are doing a medicated cycle but also realizing that I'm probably not a special unicorn that gets KU on their first medicated cycle and coupled with the fact that I am ovulating on my right (the suspected blocked side). I would be more hopeful if it was my left.

Rant/Rave? DS has been really cute recently. We watched a Blippi holiday special where he cut out sugar cookies so we decided to do some last night. He was eating all the dough and being a little menace but MH and I both found it cute and didn't get frustrated. DS is also being a little more of a mama's boy, historically he has always loved MH but it's nice that he has been giving me a little more attention these days. 

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why? Probably back closer to family which is only like 4.5 hours away but my mom. step mom and MIL are all retired so that would help so much with DS.

@krash_ I posted it over the weekend. We were sledding and we went much faster down the hill than we anticipated, hit a bump and flew several feet into the air, then slid under a van. My shoulder and back are bruised pretty bad and I wasn’t even able to lift my arm over my head. I hope you are a special unicorn and end up with a BFP. Can I ask why you suspect a blocked tube? Have you don’t any testing for that?

@emeraldcity1214 oh my gosh! That is crazy! I hope you can rest and recover. Did you end up letting them sled today?

I had an HSG a couple months ago and the contrast didn't go through my right tube but from what my OB and RE said HSG's have a really high false positive rate because the uterus can spasm or contract and limit the contrast from going through the tube and the contrast will just flow the path of least resistance. My RE doesn't believe that the tube is really blocked because I don't have any indicators for a blockage (ectopic pregnancy, STD's, pelvic surgery) but he did say that if I continue to ovulate on the right side and we're unsuccessful they might do a repeat HSG to try to confirm.

@emeraldcity1214 that sledding story is so scary! I'm so glad your LO is safe and that you are relatively ok.  I grew up in the northeast and always went sledding on our own back hill.  It's super fun, until something terrifying happens and then it can go bad so fast.  Yikes.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Meh.  Our timing was great, I'm confident I ovulated, but these same conditions have happened repeatedly over the past year and no bfp, so... hopeful, I guess?

Any questions? maybe the wrong place.  Is there some way to navigate TB so I can get just to this forum group?  I'm having to confront images of pregnant ladies and newborn babies every time I log in and it's kind of annoying.  Maybe bookmark the TTC forum and stay logged on?  My facility with the interwebs is not great, to say the least...

Rant/Rave? I'm pretty much over hunting season.  My DH has been out hunting almost every day for the past two weeks, and my FIL has been here for a week, also hunting.  Most of the time my DH is in charge of kids' morning chores, making coffee, and making breakfast for everyone.  Now that he's out in the woods before dawn, these days I have to oversee chores and make my own coffee I'm glad there's meat in the freezer, but I think everyone could stop now...

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US, where would it be and why? Upper Peninsula of Michigan, because lakes and forests and Canada nearby.  I've never been, only read about it.

@krash_ We never made it because we are still at the vet with my cat. We are going on 3.5 hours and they just took him back half an hour ago. The vet called and said they need to sedate him due to him being somewhat aggressive. I warned them. Lol, he is very particular about people touching him. He bites too. 

That’s frustrating to do a test and then not actually get any solid answers. Hopefully it isn’t blocked. 

@Loxi I haven’t been worried about any potential accidents until this happened. Someone even wore a helmet when we went sledding with a group the time before this. I never even thought we needed to. When we were on the top of the hill I hesitated to push off because I was trying to decide where we would end up and I saw the bump and the van. Then my 5 year old started to push us off and then we were committed and it was too late. DH said he saw us hit the bump and was like holy crap, then he saw the van and started running towards us. Once he pulled us out I was just frozen and literally couldn’t move. I’m pretty sure I was in shock. L was screaming and freaking out. DH was trying to decide if he had any injuries and apparently I snapped at him and told him he is likely in shock. I don’t even remember that. One of my friend’s kids got that same bump and the sled went flying and he and the sled rolled a good ways. Luckily he wasn’t hurt either. Needless to say, we won’t be visiting that hill again. Whoever built the bumps needs a good kick in the shins. No one was able to go down the hill without flipping when they hit them.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just waiting... My opk is getting darker and my hpt is getting lighter so fx I'm going to see my cycle return in a few weeks.

Rant/Rave? Getting back into charting sucks. I hate having to remember to temp as soon as I wake up. 

I'm also not sleeping at all right now so that doesn't help my mood.

Canadian here 🇨🇦.... So I wouldn't? 😂 Maybe Point Roberts because it's basically in Canada? 

If I relocated anywhere in Canada it would likely be PEI or Nova Scotia. I love the Ocean but the west coast is getting stupid expensive and the Maritimes still have a decent cost of living. 

@emeraldcity1214 that is terrifying. I remember sledding as a kid and ending up in a bunch of blackberry bushes & totally cut up. I didn't like sledding after that. Glad you guys are relatively ok.

@chindimples04 I hope you aren't out. When I got pregnant with my first (after 4 years of trying) it was the absolute worst timing and ugliest chart ever. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

GTKY: If you could relocate to anywhere in the US where would it be and why? We’re happy where we are for cost of living/family proximity.  But if we had unlimited funds we would move to Hawaii in a heartbeat.

@Loxi Northern Michigan is stunningly beautiful and so much there has been left untouched.  I hope you can visit it soon.  That said, it’s too remote and gets too cold for me.  But I love it for you.
