How are you feeling?: Tired. Food and smell aversions are starting. Super bloated. Occasionally nausea. 

Rants/Raves: H spent all day smoking a pig  and I made baked beans from scratch for dinner last night and I couldn't eat any of it. The smell made me so sick. 😔

GTKY: What are you asking for for the holidays this year? Nada. We don't really do gifts for holidays and such. A new vehicle to fit everyone in is going to be a necessity and we'll save for that instead.

How are you feeling?: Decent. The nausea is turning into more and more gagging, so I’m sure puking isn’t far away (though I will be ok if it is!) Boobs are pretty sore, and I am at the point where I can’t have the shower spray hit my boobs because my nips hurt🙈 my back is feeling better though which I am very happy about! 

Rants/Raves: Really want it to be closer to my appointment. It’s so far away! I’m excited that we aren’t doing anything for Thanksgiving this year, as I won’t need to “hide” being pregnant from anyone.

GTKY: What are you asking for for the holidays this year? I asked my sisters for gift cards to Target or Amazon. I need some new maternity work pants, so figured gift cards are the way to go since we aren’t telling family about the pregnancy until Christmas.

How are you feeling?: Super tired. Taking naps most days now. My boobs are also starting to get more sore. Starting to get more sensitive to smells but very little nausea at this point thankfully. 

Rants/Raves: Things have been a little crazy lately. MH’s grandmother passed recently and MIL is trying to say I can’t come to the funeral since I’m pregnant due to a cultural belief of hers that MH and I don’t believe in. Should be interesting 🤷‍♀️

How are you feeling?: Pretty good.  Haven't been hit with severe symptoms this time.  However I have started getting nose bleeds which is gross

Breville Sous Chef food processor.  We can alot over the summer and I'm constantly chopping, grating and prepping food. I'm so excited and hoping we can score a good black Friday deal.

Upcoming appointments: tele appointment with the nurse on 12/3 and first visit with the ob 12/10. Also waiting for them to call me this week to schedule another early ultrasound that my RE requested due to loss history. I'm figuring this week is shot with Thanksgiving, so hopefully early next week when I'm around the 9.5-10 week range.

How are you feeling?: meh... tired in the afternoons and occasional nausea. constipated too... fun

Rants/Raves: I say this all the time but I hate first tri. I hate the uncertainty and constant worry. Plus my clothes don't effing fit and it's a tad too early to bust out the maternity clothes.

non pregnancy rant - I CAN'T FIND THE ELF ON THE SHELF! I searched high and low all weekend and now I'm panicking. I don't really mind buying a new one, it's just I don't want to pull out all the Christmas decorations this weekend and have the kids find the original by accident and start asking questions. EEK

How are you feeling?: Generally like garbage - so tired, nauseated + constipated - bought prune juice for a nightly shot of prune juice to help...which makes me feel sick just thinking about it.

Rants/Raves:  I'm feeling SO useless at work - but don't want to tell my boss yet... but unsure how long I should wait before he starts wondering why I'm being so useless!! It helps that I'm hiding at home, but still definitely not as productive as I usually am (like no where close lol).  Such a tough spot.

How are you feeling?: The nausea and fatigue seem to have abated a little today. Thank goodness because I was doing the absolute bare minimum the last couple weeks. Unfortunately the pregnancy BO seems to have started, gross 😷.

Rants/Raves: Happy to have an uptick in energy today.

Questions: Anyone else nursing through this pregnancy? Do you have plans to wean? I want to wean but not sure yet when/how (wishing kiddo would wean himself magically ASAP 🤣).

GTKY: What are you asking for for the holidays this year? Haven’t thought about it yet. We’re not very creative when it comes to gifts or surprises.

@navete my 2.5yr old is still nursing. It's only morning, nap, bed time and occasional middle of the night. I don't see her stopping before the baby is born, but she might. Kinda just letting her take the lead on this. Even though with my great tenderness and sore nipples, nursing right now is not fun.

How are you feeling?: Ugh. Still super nauseous. Boobs are so sore. Nursing aversion is soooo bad. And exhausted. 

Rants/Raves: ugh. Our freaking mediabox just stopped working last night before bed. Our internet is connected to it so now we have no internet. We both work from home this is gonna be fun. I don’t want to have to deal with this. Dutch customer service is awful. They’re gonna be like ok someone will come Friday to fix it. 😒😒😒 whyyyyy!

@navete, I’m still nursing 3x a day. But my nursing aversion is so bad so if it doesn’t improve by 2nd trimester, I’ll drop 1 feed so he’s down to 2 feeds. Otherwise I don’t plan to wean unless he chooses too.

@riansmommie @AKuzReve Same situation over here, nursing primarily in the morning, before nap, and before night sleep (although my husband just recently took over the bedtime routine so I've been able to drop that session for now). I ideally want my son to initiate the weaning process, but I also adamantly don’t want to tandem nurse so I guess it’s a game of chicken for now lol.

How are you feeling?: Still good. Little bit of nausea has started in the morning but goes away once I eat.

Rants/Raves: Rave: Short work week, and of course Thanksgiving in a few days! Rant: I'm a little annoyed that my scan is next week when I'll only be 7w and some change. But I'm excited/hopeful to see the heartbeat so I didn't push it.

Questions: STM(+)'s: Did you opt for the NT scan and/or NIPT with your previous pregnancy(ies)? Why?

GTKY: What are you asking for for the holidays this year? Nothing, the Peloton was our joint gift this year

@cammie0526 I got the NIPT done with both of my previous pregnancies simply because it was covered by insurance. For me it was having the peace of mind. I know if my child had some sort of genetic abnormality, I would want to know to be prepared ahead of time for it.

@cammie0526 NIPT wasn’t covered for me my previous two pregnancies but if it was I would have had it done. I did have the NT scan and plan to again. Same exact reasons as @daisy528, if there’s something big going on I want to know so I can be prepared.

@cammie0526 we skipped all of it. It wasn't covered by insurance and we figured if anything was wrong it would be caught at our anatomy scan.

@cammie0526 confession... I dunno if maybe it's because I'm in Canada but I've never heard of NIPT?!  The NT scan we did get last time and will be getting again this time!  Apart from being prepared for anything that might be different, I also really liked getting to see the baby at the 13 weeks (as I wasn't offered an early dating/viability scan for my last pregnancy - the NT scan was the first time I got to see the babe).

Rants/Raves: the arm on my glider broke and now I’m sad. We weren’t planning to replace it but now we definitely have to since it is still part of my son’s bedtime routine.

GTKY: What are you asking for for the holidays this year? A babywearing fleece jacket. I hate strollers so I babywear everywhere. This one has the ability to wear the jacket with your kid on your back which is great. Also, maternity clothes

@navete I weaned my son in September when he turned 4. He still randomly asks to check if there is more milk (surprise: there is not). He keeps saying when the baby is born there will be more milk and the baby will share with him

@cammie0526 im 35 now so my insurance  covers it. I did not do that or the nt with my first because of insurance not covering it then
