I hate how COVID makes every decision feel like life and death. DS#2 has a cold. His teacher sent a group text to all the parents that two of her kids have colds, and since she's sure it's just colds she's going to still run the playgroup, but understands if anyone doesn't want to send. We're positive it's the same cold, and only a cold since the only symptom is a runny nose, so we decided to send. Then she texts just me to make sure I got the message, since only one other family is still sending, so all of a sudden DH is second guessing our decision. Ugh. We ended up sending him, but of course I'm feeling a ton of guilt, and worry.
I just want to quit my job and enjoy being pregnant. That’s all. I’m over working and want to just lay on the couch while my imaginary household staff handles everything else.
There’s been a few kids in my daughter (4 years old) preschool class who have tested positive for COVID-19. One of them was my daughters bestie so I know she has been in super close contact with her. We are all quarantining now, we waited outside of urgent care this morning in 30 degree weather for 2 hours prior to opening to try to get a test.... only to be told after registering to come back at 7:20 pm 🤦🏼♀️. Oh well, luckily they are the rapid tests so we will both be getting one. I’ve had a headache and super stuffy nose for the last few days, but I’ve also been reallllly sneezy so I expect mine is more of a cold. Rosie seems fine, but all the kids who tested positive have been asymptomatic. Yayyyyyy. Honestly, is it weird if I will feel relieved if our tests come back positive? I don’t want to sound insensitive because I know some people don’t do well, but I’m confident we will and I’m just ready to get it done and over with 🤷🏼♀️.
Holy goodness @brynn_mamaof4 that is crazy. I’d say the chances of being positive are pretty good. Hopefully you guys all get over it quickly if it’s positive!
@brynn_mamaof4 I feel that way every time we have had any sort of cold this year since then the hope is it would be minimal and we would all get over it quickly. I hope if it is positive, you all get over it quick!
Well, our tests were negative! I honestly can’t believe it, at least for my daughter... she plays with the little girl who tested positive very closely in class bc they are besties, she talks about her all the time! Sooo I guess we continue to wait for the inevitable lol. My dad is an ER nurse, and has been working non stop since March in Florida. Even he hasn’t gotten it (or had it and didn’t know). Perhaps we will stay COVID free until we can get whatever vaccine (which I prefer to wait as long as possible and see what happens to everyone else who gets it first lmao).

@ec1212 If you figure out a way, I'd love to as well. Can I borrow some of your imaginary household staff? lol
