    FTM/STM/STM+:

    STM (DD10yo)

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out:

    blue 💙

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of:

A Starbucks Trenta Cup! That seems big 😳

    Upcoming appointments:

I have a cardiology appointment coming up. My heart has been fluttering, I mentioned it at my last appointment and they're going to monitor it just in case.

    How are you feeling?:

    pretty good

    Rants/Raves:

I finally got to meet my great-nephew. He's 8 months old and crazy adorable. I'm excited about the idea of Teddy having a little buddy to grow up with.

    Questions: --

GTKY: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?

Soak in the tub with a bath bomb from Lush and foot rub with coconut oil (my Husband doesn't really like doing this but since I'm pregnant, he's actually been offering 🙌).

  • @princessjenney I love the name Teddy!
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 23+1/ March 7

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM (DD1 is 15 months)

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: baby girl!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baby sizer won’t load for me to find a more fun comparison, boo. She’s the size of a large mango apparently

Upcoming appointments: I have to do my glucose test in the next few weeks, I should probably schedule that I guess.

How are you feeling?: good. I’ve had a few Braxton Hicks while going on long walks but they’re not painful at all, it’s just the belly tightening

Rants/Raves: rant - I had a really successful week at work last week particularly on Friday, which felt great! Rant - we had a super big family blowup with some of my extended family that got to the point where I can’t have anything to do with them moving forward, which is far less fun to deal with.

    Questions: nope

GTKY: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? What’s this unwinding you speak of?? We’ve taken to watching TV or a movie for the last hour and a half before we go to bed to try and shut our brains down
  • @princessjenney This totally reminded me that I went to see a cardiologist during my last pregnancy bc I had random heart palpitations and random times where my heart would just race for no reason.  Everything was fine but they never quite figured out why it was happening. It stopped before I even reached third tri.  I hope everything is ok for you too.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 22+1

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Blue!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Coconut, spaghetti squash, corn on the cobb

    Upcoming appointments: OB on 11/17

How are you feeling?: .....good, actually. I'm going to be cautious in saying this but, I feel normal.  My stomach has been pretty chill the last few days.  I've been able to eat normally for a few days in a row now and (TMI) I even had a normal BM!

Rants/Raves:  Every time I say that it's been a few days of feeling normal, I always get knocked back down with a stomach flare up, so hopefully, this time that doesn't happen and my ulcer is finally starting to heal!  No rants here!

    Questions:

GTKY: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Sleep

  • @mvt2003 I'd put it up.  My son always favored one side of his head to sleep, so we would put a toy mirror up during diaper changes to get him to look the other direction, round out that head.  We also did some tummy time after diaper changes on the changing mat, so a mirror was a fun way to keep him interested in tummy time.  I've also heard some moms says that having a mirror next to the changing pad helps keep them distracted as they get a little bigger, so they won't squirm as much. My 2 cents.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: length of a toothbrush

    Upcoming appointments: 12/14

How are you feeling?: pretty good! Most of September and all of October were a complete exhausting blur bc of work. I am finally slowing down again and can focus a bit more on being pregnant. Luckily my pregnancy fatigue wore off just in time for work fatigue to kick in. Now I'm just trying to enjoy a few more weeks of pregnancy without feeling super uncomfortable.

Rants/Raves: our AS went really well and I'm so glad H was able to go too. But now I may have a UTI, so that's not great.

    Questions:

GTKY: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? In the fall/winter I'd normally enjoy a glass of whisky and a good book.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 21 + 1

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Blue (for the third time!)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Weighs the amount of a can of soda

Upcoming appointments: check up later this month with OB

How are you feeling?: Not too bad. Some pubic bone pain, reflux, etc but nothing unbearable for now.

Rants/Raves: Rant - I need a vacation but COVID has ruined all our viable options for that. Rave - I have a 4 day work week this week!

    Questions: N/A

GTKY: What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day? Not that I ever do this anymore since I have a toddler and a preschooler at home, but I love a glass of wine and a good book in my jacuzzi tub!
  • @princessjenney I had heart palpitations with both my previous pregnancies that lasted the whole pregnancy. I saw a cardiologist for it multiple times and they could never find the source of the problem but it did resolve immediately after delivering each of my sons. Fingers crossed all is well with you!

@mvt2003 I think the mirror depends on whether there is still ample space for a changing pad on the dresser with the mirror attached and whether you mind frequently cleaning the mirror of fingerprints!

  • @finflann I'm sorry to hear about the family blow up. Sometimes cutting toxic family members out of your life truly is for the best though.

xvividash Yay for having a name! I'm pretty sure my husband and I have decided on a name as well but he won't commit 100%. I think he is just doing this is annoy me though.

  • @treebagel I hear you, work has been killing me too! sorry you're not getting much time to spend with your H, hope you're able to find some time to connect soon

@jenotontx it definitely sounds like you have had a lot to deal with lately! I'm glad you decided to come back and check in, I've been wondering where you've been! You are definitely welcome here :)

@kloe818 hugs to you! Definitely a lot of mixed emotions through this whole process.  Sidenote, I saw your name choice in the spreadsheet and I just wanted to say I love it!

  • @jenotontx It was a struggle at first for us too! I thought he committed, then he came back a few weeks later calling him something completely different thinking that was the one we chose... I was like dude did the convo go in one ear and out the other? 🤣 Thankfully he is happy with the name, so we are 100% settled. : ) I hope your husband commits 100% soon!! It’s a struggle especially when you get your heart set on a name.

@annanbby That’s awesome you’re going to go for it!! I’ve heard so many mixed things. Part of me wants to, but then my mom and sister are like just go with disposable. 😆 I need to research it a little more.
  • @finnflan babysizer is back up. Apparently for week 23 baby is the size of a fertility idol. As a woman who used IVF to conceive, I find this ironic.
  • @xvividash ya when I told my husband’s family I wanted to cloth diaper, I sorta felt some judgement and his dad was like “we’ll see how long that lasts” lol but with my parents, they actually cloth diapered with us back when it was just cloth and giant safety pins so they were super interested to hear about all the ways cloth diapering has changed and were much more supportive 😂 I definitely have a long way to go with research, but I think I have the basics down enough to know what to add to my registry, and how to wash them and all that haha
  • @jenotontx don't leave us! I've also had difficulty finding time to check in the past couple weeks. I considered dropping out of the group as well, but decided that checking in less often is better than leaving altogether!
  • @jenotontx I 100% echo what @clevans1 said! Please stay! :)

  • @annanbby we got all of my sister’s cloth diapers for DD1 (the ones with the covers that you stuff with the insert, can’t remember the type or brand right now), and I think they’re super cute. And we didn’t use them once 🤣 We went into it planning to use disposables for the first couple of weeks until the gross meconium poops were gone and we got our feet under us. But once she was here, the thought of having to do the extra loads of laundry to keep on top of them just wasn’t very appealing to me. I think I’m too lazy for them haha.
  • @finnflan oh no! 😂 that was my plan too, to start the first week or so with disposables to kinda ease us into it, cause I’m sure it’s going to be hectic as we try to figure out life with a new baby. I’m worried I’ll get too comfortable with the disposables, but I’m trying to convince myself that if we don’t buy a bunch of disposables and only have the cloth at the house that I’ll be forced to learn a routine with it and be happy I did 😂 fingers crossed!
  • Can this thread include our randoms? If so, I just had my first out of the blue “how many weeks are you?” comment today. It was at work and I was in over sized scrubs so it took me by surprise! But kind of glad to know I’m looking prego vs fat.

  • @treebagel One of my coworkers called me out at 14 weeks!!! I couldn’t believe it because I wasn’t THAT big. I had lost a bunch of weight though before getting pregnant so I think that’s why she noticed so quickly.
  • Lol I'm 23 weeks and the receptionist at the dentist office yesterday said I looked ready to pop.
  • My elderly client asked me if I was getting bigger today (he knew I was pregnant, but I didn’t really say anything about it before now). I was like “yep! Can you tell??” And he responded with “ohhh ya.” 😂 I’m in kinda baggy scrubs as well so that was actually really exciting that it’s becoming noticeable through my scrubs haha
  • Ha my MiL told me last week I'm starting to look pregnant. I've been wearing lots of baggy shirts because I felt so bloated, so I think it's been less noticeable.
