Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Friday 11/6

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: TWW Friday 11/6

  • Month/Cycle: 17/10

    CD/DPO: 64/4

    Timing: excellent

    Typical LP length: 13

    Testing: not sure yet

R/R:  So grateful it's finally Friday! This week has been so long and draining. DH's parents want us to visit this weekend. I'd like to see them but I'm also a bit anxious about it. They're both in their 70s and in an area where there are a lot of cases right now. Granted, if we go, we wouldn't be leaving the house so that does decrease some of the risk but I'm still anxious. So not sure what we're going to do yet.

  • Month/Cycle: 13/12

    CD/DPO: 31/10

    Timing: -5,-3,0

    Typical LP length: 12ish

    Testing: bfn today

R/R: bfn today so I made chocolate croissants with leftover candy and store bought dough. I have to be benched next cycle so I can get 5 teeth extracted 2 days before Christmas.

    CS/Q:  nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

@gingermama29 can you just mask up and elbow bump? I know just being around my mom increases my mental strength a tenfold.

  • @gingermama29 it’s tough deciding how much to see loved ones like that. I know my grandparents still want to see me all the time but I get nervous about it since I work in a pharmacy around the public and we have covid testing through our drive thru. You should just decide what will make you and your husband the most comfortable and go with that and hopefully his parents can accept it.
@legendairymomma so sorry for the bfn! At least your breakfast sounds delicious.

    Month/Cycle: 2/1

    CD/DPO: 35/5

    Timing: -2, -1, 0

Typical LP length: not sure, first time tracking

Testing: trying to hold out as long as possible but might cave this weekend

R/R: I’m on my last day of working 12 days straight so I am really looking forward to having this weekend off. We’re having one last stretch of warm weather here so we should probably get the yard/outside of the house ready for winter before it gets cold again but other than that I’m going to try to relax!

  • @gingermama29 my ILs came to our house the other day, and we all just masked up and limited contact. Could you be outside at all?
@legendairymomma sorry for the bfn, but those chocolate croissants sound delish!
@pharmd93 are you on the east coast? We are also having a great stretch of warm
weather over the next several days. Definitely not our normal November!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 24/8

    Timing: great!

    Typical LP length: 11 days

    Testing: this weekend probably

R/R: I have a rocking headache this morning which isn’t pleasant. On the positive side, I got all my decorations up, and they make me feel so so happy. Highly recommend putting up yours if you need a pick me up! Here is the view when sitting on my couch:

CS/Q:  I woke up SO hot this morning, yet my bbt dipped slightly.

  • Hi all! I’m here now!

@gingermama29 there are definitely ways to be safe in social circumstances but ultimately it’s up to you and other parties if you make it happen and what precautions you take. It’s really hard to make those decisions for sure. Hopefully you can figure out a good compromise.

@legendairymomma I’m sorry for your BFN. You deserved those croissants! Also sucks about having to be benched for a cycle! 😕😕😕

@pharmd93 12 days straight for working! Yowza! You deserve some time off. I hope the nice weather keep up and you take full advantage of it.

@daisy528 your decor looks great! Definitely a great pick me in today’s uneasy times.

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

CD/DPO: 13/1... not tracking so hard to say exactly so could be 2 DPO as well.

    Timing: -3, -1, O

Typical LP length: hard to say; I’m lowering my progesterone dose this cycle so hopefully it’ll be less than 17 days it’s been for the past 3 cycles.

Testing: well, I bought some cheap HPTs so I might lean into early testing depending on how I’m feeling.

R/R: I have to say that not tracking anything this month has been super for my mental health. I do have an Oura ring which measures skin temperature so I have some idea of how my temp changes over the cycle but it’s very low effort since  wear the ring 24/7.

Also really hoping the outcome of election is known today.

I’m going into the office today which I’m really excited about because I’ll get to see other humans. But I have back to back meetings all freakin’ day. I have a 30-min break at 3pm. 😱😱😱 Gonna be a fun one.

CS/Q: here’s the temp trend report from my Oura ring. Temps that are above 0.0 degrees are my luteal temps from last cycle; those below are from follicular phase this cycle.

  • @acleverusername I hope lowering your progesterone will help make your LP a smidge shorter. Also, I agree. I love the days I get to go into the office. It’s always such a nice change!
