Do you breast feed on both breasts during one feeding?
How long on each breast?
I was doing both breasts for one feeding and then was told to only do one breast per feeding so now I am confused on what to do.
Who told you and why? I only do both if the baby is really hungry and seems to need it or I’m really, really full and really need them to take some pressure off the other side, haha. Both of those are pretty rare occasions.
I know I’ve been recommended to do only one side (which I was already doing) early on when I had some pain in order to give each side a break.
I’ve always done both. I guess I was concerned about forgetting and losing my supply on one side? Unless your baby is having weight gain issues or other health issues, do whatever works for you.
