@mindyb2019 At some point between weeks 8 and 11 is when HCG levels start to plateau, and doubling slows in the couple of weeks before that. Deep breaths! I know it's scary. Hang in there.
@ashaislurking Ok cool. Thank you for that info. I figured it starts to slow down and plateau. It is scary and tough not to over think things. Especially after 2 losses.
I decided to make a grilled cheese for lunch today, rather than eat the healthy leftover soup. No regrets. I did pair it with leftover kale and apple salad, so it's not totally unhealthy
@DoubleUp8 There's a box of mac & cheese hiding in the cabinet, saving it for a rainy day
@mindyb2019 I love them, but haven't actually made one in years! Usually I go the lazy route and toast a piece of bread with some cheese on it for when I need a fix. I tried using mayo instead of butter this time, have to say that I'm a convert
A coworker just said she had a premonition that I was having another baby and it made her very excited. Then asked if I was. Keep in mind we’ve been wfh since March and I haven’t seen anyone in person from work. Cue the awkward deflection since we’re not telling people yet but I don’t like to lie...
@halfanewt Ugh, I hate stuff like that! Last night I was complaining on a group chat with friends that I stupidly planned a healthy soup for dinner instead of comfort food and one of them suggested that I make up for it with alcohol. Even though it was just on WhatsApp I got so flustered and awkward. Thank god we're not seeing anyone in person yet, I couldn't do it.
@akoros I’m glad we’re not in person, too! I still remember the terrible nausea caused by middle schoolers overuse of axe body spray (I’m a teacher) I had with my first, let alone the comments. Thanks for helping me put that in perspective 😂 Sorry it was awkward even over WhatsApp! How was the soup?
@halfanewt I'm just a terrible liar, even when the lie isn't that big of a deal. Soup was ok...it was a meal kit thing, and I think they sent us too much sweet potato. It was basically a bowl overflowing with sweet potato with a little tortilla-flavored broth and corn/peppers at the bottom. I like sweet potatoes, but just overkill. Neither of us finished our bowls
@akoros I'm a terrible liar too. It's a blessing that I haven't really seen anyone because as soon as I do I want to blurt out 'I'm pregnant!'. I already told our nanny even though I had planned to wait until after the ultrasound.

A friend of mine texted me last week saying she had a dream I was pregnant with a girl, so I caved and told her that her dream was at least half true! Selfishly I thought she’d be a great resource since she’s 6 months pregnant and has the same doctor I do, so she’s been giving great advice and what to expect with our doctor! It’s nice having just a handful of friends who know that you can share exciting news or complain about pregnancy symptoms with.
Well my husband is telling everyone already and I keep wanting to wait until at least the ultrasound. Like I still keep wondering if it’s all in my head. Like the pregnancy symptoms, maybe I really got defective pregnancy tests (I keep stopping myself from getting new ones). My first appt is on Tuesday. I keep wanting to buy things too but also keep stopping myself.
@angelz429 lol I’m the same way. I’m like what if I made everything up and all the tests were wrong and the symptoms are in my head. I’ve already told a bunch of people though like my whole family and close friends.
Oh man, I just had a friend text me to tell me she had a dream that I had a 5lb baby that I was bottlefeeding. We aren’t super close anymore so I didn’t tell her but I was a tiny bit freaked out.
so I got a voicemail from my OBGYN saying to call them back but I didn't get the message until after the office already closed so I'm a freaking ball of nerves. I'm waiting for the on-call doctor to call me back I'm guessing it has to do with my blood work this morning and I'm literally terrified
Oh my gosh I thought I came back to update. They were calling because my TSH levels went down to a 2.8! They are adjusting my medication. I was literally sitting on the couch crying freaking out and it was for nothing! Lol! PGAL brain is no joke.
@ruemcclanahan that is great news! Well, not great since your TSH levels are low, but great that it is something they can easily adjust. Sorry it caused you so much stress until you had an answer. Try to have a quiet, relaxing weekend.
@ruemcclanahan yay for TSH levels of 2.8. Thats fantastic news!!!! I have to take meds for mine too and they are at 1.31 in August this year. Which is a good normal lower level for pregnancy. Soo happy for you that they went down seeing how they were soo high before. Im soo happy it was good news you got. Sorry you were upset and crying and worried.
FFSC - dug out my 2 bins of maternity clothes (yes, I kept it all. That stuff is expensive!) Found my belly button thing that looks like a tank top bottom but has booked for your pants buttons to keep in your regular pants longer. Put it on with my jeans and it was magical!!!
No more waist band digging in to the bloat! So comfortable in jeans for the first time in weeks. I'm only 10.5 weeks, but I don't care. I haven't gained any weight since my 8 week check up, so I know it's a bloat and maybe a tiny bit bump. I'm so comfortable, so I'm not sorry at all!

@DoubleUp8 I’m holding off digging into my mat clothes but I can’t wait to get all those clothes out of our basement. DS was born in august so I mostly have all tanks, skirts and dresses but since I’m not going anywhere anyway that may be all I need.
I might buy a maternity coat though. I couldn’t fit into my winter coat the last few weeks of cold weather last time around.

@DoubleUp8 I’ve been thinking about pulling mine out too. They are so comfy! Honestly, one reason I haven’t is just the effort of pulling out all the maternity stuff, washing it and putting it away.
Hey y'all! I know I joined this board late and honestly like 50% of that is because I can't figure out how to get the boards through the Bump app? Am I just missing something? I find it so hard to participate from my phone browser 🤦🏼♀️
