2) "Iced" hot drinks (ie coffee and tea) are abominations

3) All Kardashians suck

Your turn

  • @Maggie1202 my SIL doesn't like bacon either! I'm not going to say no to bacon lol, unless it's like an extra $2 to add to my burger :D

@jaztastic yes I'm also only an occasional coffee drinker. Even prior to getting KU when I make it at home it's always decaf. Starbuck frappucinos though... mmmmmm. Those are an occasional treat for me, but kinda rare.

On the topic of pumpkin spice....
Apple cider >>>>>>>>>>> pumpkin spice. Apple cider is always my fall drink of choice

Also, hot chocolate is good any time of year. If people can drink hot coffee all day at work, no one should be shocked that I'd want a hot chocolate even if it were in the 80s in the summer.

  • @jaztastic I live in WI, but was born in IL! I spent 7 years of my childhood in AZ too so it's kinda weird that I'd still have this love for hot chocolate and apple cider when summers were in the 100s! haha

For real though, I got SUPER upset about a customer I dealt with on the phone at work earlier in the year (before covid times). I vented to a coworker and was sipping a 32oz thermos of apple cider and over the course of my ranting I calmed down so much. Apple cider has some kind of magical calming ability on me  :)

And maybe it's said often because most people aren't in the office anymore and I wanted to make it clear that I was in the office because it was before shit hit the fan? lol

  • Apple cider is definitely way better than pumpkin spice. Although we drink it hot AND cold here, which may offend your sensibilities @jaztastic! Apple cider adjacent, cider is way better than beer. Beer gives me a real wheat belly feel. No thanks.
  • @pickle-chips I hate beer, love cider. So I'm with you on that one.

  • @pickle-chips nope we are still on the same page. Apple cider is like the one thing I love hot and cold. A frozen apple cider is just as fantastic as a hot cup. lol Im clearly a walking contradiction.

Also, Beer is what I imagine horse piss to taste like. Ill take a Strong Bow, Woodchuck, Angry Orchard, Stellas or REDDs any day.

  • @pickle-chips @maggie1202 cider is too sweet compared to beer.

I’m going to throw in a UO we had last week when I was still frequenting May. I don’t like ocean water. I can tolerate the sand at the beach, but even then don’t absolutely love it. I love to look at the ocean and I love to swim in a lake. I don’t like the sticky feeling of saltwater when you get out.
  • @klj0228 I hate the beach.  Everything about it. I’m fair skinned so I always have to load up with sunscreen which make the sand stick to everything.  The water makes my skin and hair feel so gross.. I live in a town on the gulf coast literally people come here to go to the beach and I haven’t been in probably 10 years.
  • @sgrn18 that makes me feel much better about my dislike for it. I love being on/in freshwater I just don’t like ocean. Give me a house with a pool beachfront and I am happy as a clam. I can look at it without touching it.
  • Omg a bacon hater!?!? I love bacon so much my dad gave me a pound of bacon for Christmas one year. He wrapped it up and everything. 😂

I really dislike coffee. I think it tastes like burnt beans. I do however live the smell of freshly cut coffee beans. Mmmmmm

I hate cities. I find them boring, dirty and crowded. Give me a quiet mountain side any day!
  • @klj0228 I can get with you on not liking to swim in the ocean if the water is cold. Give me the Red Sea though and I will spend all day in it!

And definitely Apple cider > pumpkin spice! Though drinking it cold isn’t my favorite.

@klj0228 this might be a perfectly segue into FFFC... I am afraid of lakes. Irrational I know, but they seem dirty to me, like if I get in it Im going to come out covered in leeches with a flesh eating bacteria. Give me an ocean anyday and Im fine. Like you are with the ocean, I like to look at the lake but I just dont want to get in it.  :p

  • @jaztastic haha...I do think many lakes are gross and the first time I get in every year I am a little ehh about it.
  • @klj0228 and @sgrn18 I am with you. I hate the ocean, mostly because of the sand. It gets everywhere! event between your swimsuit and the lining, like wtf! I also do not like the stickiness of the salt. It makes me itchy afterwards.

I am a lake girl 100%. I think lakes really depend where you live. Lakes in the mountains near us (northeast) are very clear (you can see the bottom in 15 feet deep water) and clean, no leeches unless you go in the lakes that are more like ponds. A lot of the water comes from mountain run off and is filters by the rocky terrain. I think in the Southern US lakes are very different because the lack of mountains and large rocks for filtering the water. Also, since they are warm year round and do not freeze, very different things can live and grow in them.

I love the beach, but am afraid to swim in the ocean. Also not a fan of going in lakes. If I can’t see the bottom, like a swimming pool, then I’m not comfortable.
  • @maggie1202 I made that comment to my SIL about seafood 🤮 she teased me the one day years ago n I was like listen, dont laugh theres more for you 🤣
  • Seafood is nasty
    Bananas are nasty
I dont like hot tea but iced is the best (preferably unsweetened)
I also hate snow (summer is my all-time favorite time of year) but I refuse to move south either
  • I don’t like football, like AT ALL. And I live in Texas, so you can figure how well that goes over here. My mom says I’m un-American. I think it’s hilarious when she’ll ask me if I know who won against my college football team. I just look at her like “really, are you seriously asking me this question?”. 🤣
