Today was the first day I realized how much I miss red wine. It was a chillier night and we were sitting on a friend’s patio and she was drinking a glass of Decoy cab. It smelled so good. I have been so sick the last two months that the thought of a drink sounded awful, but finally turned a corner and man was I jealous.
I was thinking today how I wished for a glass of wine. As some of you know from my vent it’s been a stressful few days dealing with MIL drama. But my kids and I had the house to ourselves for the day and evening and it was so enjoyable. The only thing I wished was that DH was home and not at work again on overtime and we could just put the kids to bed, sit by a fire and have wine. It sounded like such a lovely evening. But alas, I had brownies with my kids and watched Halloweentown for the who knows how many-th time and it was nice too.
My first (during current pregnancy) red wine craving today too! Made plans to go out for dinner with a friend next week. I am hoping she orders a glass and lets me smell it, lol.
@pelorunningmama love me some decoy cab! We have two bottles sitting on top our wine fridge and I look at them longingly everyday.
@theletlers brownies and Halloween town sound like an awesome Saturday. I wish i could get DD to watch something besides Mickey Mouse Playhouse. I may need to make some brownies now.
oh my gosh, yes to all of you craving wine! DH and I went to one of our fav restaurants last night and had dinner out on their patio. It was pretty chilly outside last night, but they have tons of heaters and I was in a turtleneck sweater and it was sooo cozy. I ordered short ribs and between my meal choice and the chilly weather, it just felt like the only thing missing was a glass of cabernet!!!
Then today, DH, my mom and I went to a fall festival and walked around outside nibbling on fall treats and they had plenty of fun alcoholic beverages (that both my mom and DH were definitely indulging in!!) and I so badly wanted a glass of fall sangria! But what are ya gonna do...
