Cooking with wine

Hi mamas,

I made a pot of French onion soup in the instant pot and it called for a cup of wine. I got thinking and was wondering if it is safe for me to eat the soup now? I have it boiling on the stove now to try to get as much of the alcohol out as possible.

You’re likely fine. 1 cup in a big pot of soup is not that much and while excessive drinking is not ok, many women will have the occasional glass of wine without incident.

if it’s only one or several times during the whole pregnancy, then it’s ok
