Infertility

IVF timeline

Grateful to be given the opportunity to do IVF, But also sad that this is my only option to conceive, but grateful to have this opportunity! I’m 35, severe endo, low AMH.

I’m due to go in October 6Th and October 9Th for my HSG and mapping. Anyone else on the same boat, same timeline? I wish everyone a positive and happy journey.

  • I hope all goes smoothly for you! There is a ton of into in these boards and I found them so helpful when I was getting started. Best of luck to you! ☺️

  • 👋 @mrsdayyyyyy

I have my first consult with our IVF Doctor on Tuesday night (29 Sept) and we are expecting to get started right away. By the end of the week, we should be starting testing and preliminary examinations. So we're on a similar timeline!

Would love to keep in touch throughout the experience / offer support. I am feeling really uncertain about what to expect, but some of the other lovely members here encouraged me to focus on each step, one at a time, which was great advice. I have never been through the process before so am new to it all (and this forum).

How are you feeling? Are you having PGD as part of your IVF procedure?
  • Hi nicolecdg!
Good luck Tuesday! I’ve gone through this process before, and it’s never easy. This board is awesome, I took to a lot of women back in 2017, they were all so helpful and positive, during moments I felt lost and so much uncertainty! My doctor has decided against PGD because I don’t produce enough eggs even with the absolute highest dose of fertility meds. So I’ve been told in the past by family to not stress, that’s impossible! You will be stressed and anxious, totally normal. I will tell you this, it takes a rock star to embark in this line of journey, it just proves how much we want a little one to love. Good luck to you, and please keep me posted!
  • @mrsdayyyyyy Hi! I'm a newbie and 35 too.  :) I can completely understand your feeling of sadness/gratefulness. Sometimes how I feel about the whole thing can even alternate daily. I hope that we can all move forward and realize that some days will be better than others.

I might be in the same boat as you regarding PGD. I live in Japan and from what I've read it's not really standard practice here.

@nicolecdg Hello! I just finished a lot of the initial testing in September and will be starting IVF in October. It's insane how fast this process can start up. It looks like it might be a little overwhelming, but hopefully we can all support each other.  Fingers crossed for your upcoming tests!
  • Good luck in your upcoming IVF!
