Diagnosis (if you've been): no official diagnosis but secondary infertility

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TWW

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): I had my first appointment with my doc on why its taking so long. Since I am mid cycle there is no testing this cycle. She scheduled my for cd3 bloodwork, sperm analysis for DH and an HSG to get the ball rolling

How are things going?: I had an anxiety attack in the office and the nurse saw it happening and managed to calm me down. I am also worried af about insurance covering the HSG

@legendairymomma welcome and sorry that you find yourself here. However, I can tell you that this is such supportive corner that it will make your IF journey - however difficult - much much better. We’re here for you! So good that the nurse recognized the symptoms of a panic attack and knew how to steer you away from it. Regarding insurance: is yours the type that covers only up to diagnosis of infertility? I’m afraid that HSGs are very expensive... I have a high deductible plan and paid quite a lot out of pocket still.

@acleverusername Since its Sunday I can't get an agent on the phone. I have BCBS of Illinois PPO with hubs company. From what I am reading online, that will be to my benefit but I won't know for sure until I talk to someone. If its too expensive then I will probably just stick with CD3 bloodwork and hubs SA. My main worry (thanks Google) is that I am out of time and eggs at 31. I hope that if Hubs sperm is low/bad motility that I at least have time on my side. 
Ill be honest, I have lurked here a few times and was downright amazed at the comraderie and support offered.

@legendairymomma have you ever had your AMH tested? If not, then I wouldn't worry about being out of eggs until you get tested. Even then, AMH would only be an indicator for how successful an ER might be. As for quality of eggs at 31, DEFINITELY don't worry about it (unless you have indications of that... i.e. previous ER and issues with fertilization; since you're TFAS, that's probably not an issue). I'm basically 37 (next weekend) and was very concerned about my egg quality and asked my RE about it; she said at my age, waiting to do IVF for 6 and even up to 12 months would not be an issue (not that I'd wait that long); it's when I start to get into late 38-39 that it starts to be more of a concern. That said, obviously at 31 your eggs are not as good as they were at 21, but really I wouldn't worry. I'm sure this will do very little to alleviate your worries, but if it helps even a fraction of a percent, then I'll be happy.

@acleverusername I get my AMH testing on Oct 12. It took 12 months at 26 years old to concieve my 1st so... *le sigh*

@legendairymomma I would try to get an estimate for the HSG. All my blood work was normal, as a generally healthy 32 year old they don’t have any concern about my eggs. I am maybe concerned because I tend to ovulate early which can be a sign of poor egg quality but my HSG revealed that I have a blocked tube which has probably more effect on my fertility than my eggs. I have a high deductible plan but I’ve met my deductible so it was covered 80% and estimated at $210. If I hadn’t met my deductible I would be paying upwards of $1,000. End of the year seems like a good time to get some testing in rather than waiting until everything resets in January.

I need to go back and catch up but @legendairymomma welcome but also sorry to see you here! I would personally hold off on the HSG, my clinic didn't require it until I was prepping for my FET, so if you are concerned about egg reserve/quality and god forbid have to do IVF you can possibly get all the way through your ER without having to do an HSG. My doctor also gave me the impression that my HSG was way less likely to come back abnormal since I am also TFAS.
