Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW 9/15

  • Month/Cycle: 9

    CD/DPO: 31/13DPO

    Timing: just -2

    Typical LP length: 11

Testing: have to go buy a test for tomorrow morning...don't want to get my hopes up but this is a long luteal phase for me so now i'm starting to SS

R/R: missed you all!  did some lurking yesterday :) back from the beach and feeling super relaxed.  or at least i was until i had to jump back into work things yesterday.  i was proactive and did a lot before leaving but there's always something i suppose.  hopefully able to come back on today (and this week) and get back into the swing of this

CS/Q: haven't really temped during TWW since i was away.  it was actually nice to not be so hyper focused on it!  will start once AF comes

  • @asf0613 good luck testing tomorrow!

    Month/Cycle: 22/24

    CD/DPO: 18/3

    Timing: -2,-1,O

    Typical LP length: 12

    Testing: 10 or 11 DPO

R/R: Yesterday was the first day in a very long time where I didn’t end the day with more on my to do list than what I started with. Which is sad but nice haha. Another rave is that our dog usually only goes to doggy daycare if I have to go to the office or a client, but we signed him up for a membership for 2 days a week and since I only have to go somewhere 1 day this week, I took him today and get to be alone in my house. It’s so peaceful! My rant is that I’m starving and nothing we have here is what I want haha. The struggle is real.

    CS/Q:

  • @bows22 yay for to-do list progress!
doggie daycare is a godsend.  in pre-COVID times, it was a lifesaver because DH and i work long hours.  now its equally great even though we are both home because inevitably they start barking during conference calls and whoever is free has to be on top of them.  its like another job!!

@asf0613 Welcome back! I'm glad your beach trip was so relaxing! Glad you are getting back in to the swing of things at work so well. Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning!

@bows22 yay for less work! Boo for wanting nothing in the house, that is the worst!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4
    CD/DPO: 23/6
    Timing: -1
    Typical LP length: 12 days
Testing: Saturday because cheapies came with my OPKs
R/R: Rave (with a bit of a rant) Yesterday was so busy for work. I worked my but off all day and my boss kept pinging me with emails while I tried to get things done because we are going on vacation to the lake tomorrow. It will be our last trip up before we close up and winterize the place for the off season. Bitter sweet, but exciting because I love fall up there. The colors should be good. DH and I will celebrate our 9 year anniversary on Thursday. I bought champagne, so I guess I am going with a "drink until it's pink" philosophy this cycle since I will have a glass of champagne on our anniversary and probably a glass of wine or two in front of the fire in the evenings while we are up there.
Rant: I am trying not to SS, but I have tons of creamy CM, and I am not seeing my usual AF symptoms for a week out. I usually get a sour stomach, for lack of a better term, a week before AF, but nothing like that this week so far, so I am thinking all the things. The nice temp rise this morning didn't help my SS (or rather lack of symptoms to spot) either.

  • @DoubleUp8 your chart looks awesome!! hopefully the SS is warranted and this is it!  also hope you enjoy your vacation (and anniversary!)  FWIW, i was strict no TWW drinking (and did a few cycles not drinking at all), but for the past two i've been drinking til its pink.  enjoy!
  • @asf0613 I think drinking is all about what you are comfortable with. I know some people prefer to abstain during the TWW. I have always felt like a glass of wine in the evenings before I am able to turn a test is fine. It is 100% personal preference. :)

  • @asf0613 welcome back! Glad you enjoyed your vacation! GL testing!
@bows22 I miss doggy daycare! Our doggy is too old now and she just sits in the corner and doesn't want to play with any of the younger dogs so it's not worth it for her anymore.
@DoubleUp8 FX for you! Enjoy your long weekend away and hopefully it will help pass the time for you TWW!

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD/DPO: 24/10

    Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: not unless AF is late

R/R: I made an awesome breakfast this morning! I toasted Dave's Killer Bread topped it with almond butter and thinly sliced apples and then sprinkled it with pie spice. So good and festive! I am 100% into fall even though the high today is like 83. We have been going back and forth from having the heat on last week to windows open to turning on the AC. I'm feeling pretty meh about this cycle. If this isn't it Idk when the right time to start looking into testing again with everything else we have going on.

  • @asf0613 have you been doing anything to help length your LP? GL testing! And glad you had a great vacation. I could use one ha.

@bows22 sounds like a nice work day yesterday. Peace and quiet is nice haha

@doubleup8 happy early anniversary! FWIW I have cycles with creamy CM in the TWW as well as no CM. But that certainly doesn't stop me from SS   :D

    Month/Cycle: 40

CD/DPO: 21/5 (per FF, doesn't make sense when I didn't get a positive OPK yet)

    Timing: -3 (per FF)

    Typical LP length: 13 days

Testing: not until next next weekend because my temps and opks don't line up this cycle so that should definitely put me at the latest AF due date

R/R: Facetimed with my mom yesterday which was nice. We hadn't done that for the last few weeks. My mom nicely said to let her know how she can help whether that be doing something different, etc. That was nice to hear, but of course I still said I didn't want to talk about it. Earlier yesterday DH and I were texting with my mom about SIL and FBIL. She showed a screenshot from FB in which she congratulated them and FBIL response is "thank you young lady". Like wtf lol.  Even my mom said he's trying way too hard! Guh, it's so... fake.

CS/Q: might add later. Consistent TWW temps though, they just don't make sense

  • @DoubleUp8 I think we missed doing a “last weekend” at the lake. We still go in the winter but it’s not the same when you can’t go out on the boat. Enjoy your last weekend there! And I agree about your symptoms/lack thereof. Anytime I have something different happen from a previous cycle I am convinced it is the one!

@krash_ your breakfast sounds amazing. I haven’t switched over to the fall feeling yet but I think we are going to pick apples on Saturday so that should help!

@inthewoods23 your FBIL is so weird haha. That is really nice of your mom to kind of leave it up to you how she can best help you. I wish more people would take that approach

  • Also, apparently what I wanted to eat was leftover queso at 11 AM. I think I’ll be regretting it later but it was sooooo good
  • @inthewoods23 Regarding your video question yesterday, I wouldn't mind going to a reception on a later date than the small ceremony (have done that before), but agree that the video part is kind of odd. Could they just set up a Zoom or something so people can watch the ceremony remotely? If it's more to show off fancy editing skills, then they could share it later or something, but having everyone sit watch the "movie" is a little weird. That said, we didn't hire a videographer and asked people to turn off their phones and iPads during the ceremony

    Month/Cycle: 27/1 AL

    CD/DPO: 23/8

    Timing: -6, -3

    Typical LP length: 14-ish days

Testing: Not unless I'm late.....but today I also noticed that my RHR has been elevated the past couple of days. Trying to calm myself, but if it doesn't go back down I may test a bit earlier than I planned

**TW** mention of previous pregnancy and loss

In the past, my early pregnancy symptoms were very slight, and mostly only noticed in retrospect. However, both times I noticed a spike in my RHR. Admittedly, it could just be that I ate/drank poorly over the weekend, but usually that only causes a spike the night of my "excess", and yesterday I was really good and didn't have any alcohol and it went up another 2 BPM to about 5-6 BPM above normal. I might have been a bit dehydrated, though, and had a massive headache for which I took tension headache Tylenol (has caffeine)....and didn't sleep well, so maybe the RHR reading is off. We were "sort of" trying this time, but  not really, as our timing was off. I also realized right around "O" day that if I did get pregnant this cycle we'd be on the exact same timeline as our TFMR last year, which stressed me out. While I do want to get pregnant, a "deja vu" pregnancy would definitely bump up all the anxiety that I already know I'm going to have.

R/R: Rave -- loving this weather; Rant -- a bit hazy yesterday and today, which is apparently ash from all the wildfires up in the jet stream :(

    CS/Q: None

  • @bows22 weird doesn't even cover his behavior haha

@akoros yeah idk, the idea just seems weird. Like I said, plenty of people do small ceremonies (like destination weddings) and a large reception back home and no one attending the reception ever demands to see the ceremony. It doesn't matter. I think the idea is because FBIL wants the big wedding so I think the assumption is that all of his family would want to see it? Idk. Where are you located? I just saw something this morning that said haze is being seeing over NY and DC - and that's all the way across the country! It's all so freaky. Is this what Australia felt like late last year/earlier this year?  :#

  • @inthewoods23 I'm in DC. I thought it was cloudy until I went outside, then saw articles about how it's actually the ash 20-25k feet up in the air. I know it's nothing compared to those out West (particularly people impacted by the fires), just freaky and depressing to think about.
  • @krash_ That breakfast sounds amazing! I on board with fall too. It was cold enough for a sweater dress and boots today, and I was sooooo happy!

@inthewoods23 thanks! I'm glad you were able to talk to your mom. Sorry your temps are being weird. I agree a video of the whole ceremony is weird. I agree most people I know have done a zoom ceremony and plan to do a bigger reception later. If they want to show a movie and use the theater as the venue, maybe something with childhood photos and videos and clips from the ceremony? We showed a slide show of photos our moms put together as a surprise for our rehearsal dinner (our wedding was at the lake we go to so it was sort of a destination wedding, so 2/3s of our guests were at the rehearsal dinner.) It was running to the side during the cocktail hour and people could wander over and watch at their leisure. We got a lot of compliments, and I wished we had thought of it for the wedding. He does sound so fake.

@akoros I'm sorry you are torn about testing. Do you have some cheapies? I know I have less will power around testing when I know I have cheapies in the house. Though, I could just not pack them for the lake, but I am not that strong.

  • @krash_ omg I completely missed you since we posted around the same time! That breakfast sounds DELICIOUS.

@DoubleUp8 a zoom ceremony sounds like a better idea to me. Then people are at least watching it in real time. I was also wondering how the heck would you pull off a "movie" anyway? They're going to need to hire a videographer right? Last I checked, my SIL doesn't have a plethora of cameras to get different shots/angles. And who would be operating them anyway? Also audio? You're going to need a microphone and such for that too. There's so much that will go into this, it's like the people that think backyard weddings are cheap and easy because they don't think about how to bring power out to the ceremony/reception area and everything needed for bathroom use. You can't have a house's 1 bathroom used by 100+ people! I have so many questions lol.

  • @DoubleUp8 I have one, so might use it. That said I'd probably still wait until next week, otherwise I'll have doubts that it was just too early to test. I think I know when I'll get my period, but since this is my first normal cycle AL it also could still be weird. That said, I do know when I ovulated, which is why I think I'm probably just freaking myself out over nothing.
  • @akoros Yes, I can only imagine that your mind is swirling. Bodies are so weird! Why can they just be consistent!?!

  • @asf0613 glad you had a nice trip!!

@bows22 I’m sure it was nice to have the house quiet today! Also queso is always the right option lol!

@DoubleUp8 enjoy the lake trip and your anniversary celebrations!

@krash_ that is serious fall breakfast inspo! Sounds amazing!!

@inthewoods23 man your FBIL is really something else haha

@akoros keeping my FX for you!! That’s crazy that you’re getting ash all the way in DC.

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD/DPO: FF says 27/7 but I think it’s 27/5

    Timing: Good either way

Typical LP length: On progesterone so at least 14

Testing: ughhhh isn’t that the question??

R/R: First of all, I really need to get better about posting before I go to work haha! Now that I’m back in the building it’s so hard to get on here during the school day, and then I’m exhausted by the time I get home! Know that even if I’m not posting I’m lurking always! Okay so here’s my dilemma with my chart. I was so very confident that I O’d on CD22. Then this morning I had this dip...which I almost always get 7dpo (which is what FF is saying). Ugh, so now I don’t know what to believe. I may end up testing this weekend because I have no willpower and have a couple cheapies, but I also know that it will (most likely) be way too early and then I’ll torture myself.

CS/Q: also... WTF is a “luteal line”??? I’ve never seen it on my chart before but I’m assuming that’s just what FF calls flat temps post O?

  • @runningoncookies I agree with FF, even without your dip today! But when I temped I always had a “fallback rise” like that on 2-3 dpo so it seems totally normal to me.
  • @runningoncookies Dr. Google failed me. Even a search on the FF website couldn't find a luteal line. There was one reference to it in a glossary that was hyperlinked, but the link was broken. Maybe it's something to do with the dotted CHs.

  • @runningoncookies @DoubleUp8 I can’t find anything on it either. And because I’m very cool, I tried to enter temps to make my chart look the same to see if I could get the luteal line and I can’t!
  • Ohhh I found it!

  • Right?? I did so much googling and found nothing!! Why does everything have to be difficult 😂

@bows22 that actually makes me feel better that you agree with FF...I don’t usually get that 2dpo dip but maybe it’s just something different for me. Also I lol’d that you tried to make a luteal line pop up on your chart! You’re the best lol!

@DoubleUp8 the CHs go dotted the second I input that I took progesterone, even though I don’t take it until after I get CHs...so annoying!!
  • @runningoncookies I can’t even get the dotted CHs that you have, only solid, so now I really agree with FF on your O date.
  • @bows22 nice work!!! So weird that it’s never popped up on my chart before. And you’ve convinced me lol, I’ll believe FF for now...until I get a negative test and then I’ll tell myself that it’s wrong haha!!
