Rants/Raves: Driving 9 hours to see DH for a few days next week and I’m slightly nervous yet excited
Questions: nope
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? I love the smell of my dog haha I know that sounds weird but he has hair not fur and smells like my house (which usually smells like a vanilla candle!) I also love when DH puts on his cologne, he rarely uses it but when he does omggg
How are you feeling: pretty good! Getting more tired lately in the afternoons and noticing certain positions sitting or laying down are getting uncomfortable
Rants/Raves: For my Bday DH got me a tanzanite ring Bc it will be (most likely) the baby’s birthstone. It was very very sweet. Here’s to hoping my fingers don’t get too fat to keep wearing it!
Questions: none

Questions: None!

Team Green/Pink/Blue: Pink
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Sega Game Gear
Upcoming appointments: Ultrasound on 9/21, regular OB with glucose test on 9/28
How are you feeling: Better, the RLP has died down a bit. And today was the first time I could feel her kick with my hand on my stomach - a viability day celebration!
Rants/Raves: Rave - this was a really good weekend. The weather was perfect and we had friends come over Saturday and Monday. Our friend that came over yesterday love cooking for people so he brought so much food over and left all the leftovers for us. We won't need to cook for days.
Questions: None
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? For candles I really like "fresh' smelling things. My favorite candle was "Greenhouse" by Yankee Candle, but they stopped making it a few years ago. I like florals as well - especially Rose and Lilac.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Acorn Squash
Upcoming appointments: 9/22
How are you feeling: Good! Some hip pain at night and sore feet by the end of the day, but otherwise great!
Rants/Raves: A woman came up to me this weekend at the campground and correctly guessed that I was 26 weeks based on the size of my bump! haha I was very impressed! She said she is a labor and delivery nurse and also used to teach all the birthing classes at the hospital she works at
Questions: Nope
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? Any fall scented or pumpkin candle - which I'm not burning while pregnant because I know how bad they are for you. Will likely be baking more this fall so I can get in some fall scents naturally lol
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: pomegranate
Upcoming appointments: fluids today, OB tomorrow
How are you feeling: a little better? I got my PICC line last week so I’ve had fluids multiple times this week as well as a blend of IV and other meds and I actually managed to not lose anymore weight and eat a couple full meals!!! 🙌🙌🙌
Rants/Raves: the weather has been basically perfect here and my doctor pulled me from work as of last week- so I’ve gotten to enjoy it! I’m done with work until the end of pregnancy in theory and that is super weird.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: cauliflower/eggplant/prairie dog
Upcoming appointments: OB appt 9/25, glucose screening 9/29
How are you feeling: pretty good! The belly brace I ordered came last Friday, and I'm loving it - makes such a big difference on walks and chasing DD around the house.
Rants/Raves: I had such a great holiday weekend! DH and I both took Friday off so we could spend time together, and we ended up getting a bonus lunch date when my in-laws came up on Sunday and watched the baby during her nap. I also got to see one of my good friends who I haven't seen for over 2 years (she and her husband just moved back from Rwanda in January).
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? a toss-up between evergreen trees, honeysuckle, and the ocean
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Foot is a AAA battery, lol.
Upcoming appointments: Just had one today (caught a yawn!) next is October 7, growth scan, glucose (again), TDAP, and FLU
How are you feeling: Overall not bad, constipation is the worst part but I'm managing.
Rants/Raves: Not much but work, Today was the first day with virtual training and there's so much we still don't know.
Questions: Nothing baby related.
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? On DH it's Tom Ford Ombre Leather, sooooooooo good. On me it's Kilian I Don't Need a Prince by my Side to be a Princess. It's very marshmallowy and yummy, I wear it all Fall/Winter.
How are you feeling: Horrid anxiety - the kind where every ailment I have I'm convinced it's a death sentence. But otherwise pretty good! Still having trouble breathing through my nose and the nagging, but infrequent dry throat/cough is stubborn. Our skies are hazy with the smoke from CA's wildfires, so I'm sure that isn't helping!
Rants/Raves: We had a nice, relaxing and socially-distanced weekend in the mountains. Wish it had been a little cooler, but it was so fun to see DD playing in the streams and experiencing a ponderosa pine forest and all of it's wonders (we live in the Sonoran desert, so it's definitely a unique experience for her).
Questions: Does anyone else use Flonase? It's not on my list of "approved" medications, but my PCP seems to think it's fine. Can't get my OB's office to call me back...
GTKY: what is your favorite scent? The Sonoran desert right before and/or after the rain. There's a common yellow-flowering bush here called the creosote and it gives off a sweet, musky and citrusy scent just before and right after rain. It perfumes the whole desert and is lovely.
@bearmomma1 Ditto on the anxiety. Mine has probably never been this bad.
@tryingktogku Oh man DH's cologne always makes me want to go to pound town.
@cassafrass15 I used flonase all through my last pregnancy. Totally fine especially since it pretty much just stays in your sinuses. My OB prescribed it for me even lol (this was before OTC). I alternated with nasonex.
@the_road_to_oz and @cassafrass15 - Because I dealt with infertility and went thru IVF I did a lot of research on eliminating toxins from my everyday life to try to improve our chances of conceiving. Candles were unfortunately one of the bad things I had to eliminate - the wax releases harmful chemicals into the air that you breathe in, and also the fragrance oils used in them are not healthy for use either. The good news is that 100% beeswax and 100% soy candles are safe - although much more expensive!
