Re: TTGP Grad Check-In September
We have two names!! We will choose one when we meet him.
Hi everyone 💜. My days of being pregnant are almost over. I am so thankful for how smooth and uncomplicated this pregnancy has been, but somewhat unfortunately I have to deliver early at 37wks via c-section due to possible vasa previa and a low-lying placenta. So it's Friday, then! I do wish he could cook a bit longer (and I'm a bit anxious for surgery), but a safe delivery is what's most important.
Anywho, I love and miss you ladies and still lurk often. I root for each and every one of you and my friends here are among the strongest people I know. Your support was truly the only thing keeping me going at times! Can't wait to see more grads 💜.

HIIIIIII friends! It's still so weird to me that I get tagged in these
*How long were you active on TTGP and when (minimum of 3 months)? May 2019-July 2020
*How far along are you? 10 weeks yesterday
*Which birth month board/due date? March 2021
*Team Pink/Blue/Green? Still Team Finding Out, but since it's twins we have to wait for the anatomy scan!
*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We're not sharing IRL, but we have 2 full boy names, and 1 partial girl name. Once I know what we're having, I'll let my TTGP friends know!
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Well, I wouldn't call it exciting, more like terrifying, but I had a massive bleed on Monday night, was pretty sure it was the end of the road for me, but thankfully both babies are doing great according to my Tuesday ultrasound. The slightly concerning part is that my SCH has grown rather than shrunk, which according to my doctor is uncommon but not unknown, so if that also isn't very on brand for me I'm not sure what is. I've been told to expect another big bleed given the size of it, so something fun to look forward to. 🙄
I hate to sound like a broken record, but I miss all of you so much, and I'm constantly lurking. I had one of the worst days of my life yesterday, and one of the only things that got me through the fear was knowing that if god forbid the worst happened, I have this safe place on my side. So many hugs and love to you all, I'm so hoping for another good exodus soooooon!

Haven't started the discussion with DH, but I have one in mind. We will probably start the discussion after my anatomy scan which is in about 3 weeks!
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share?
I feel like I have lots of IF/fertility treatment knowledge but little to none knowledge on parenting etc. It's getting more real with each day passing by, and I finally just started to follow family vloggers as well as reading parenting books.
Hoping for a mass exodus soon! I am always lurking and sending good vibes to ladies on this board

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Not really exciting, just more of a life update - Some of you may remember that a year ago my mom left my dad and it was a huge s**t show because of the way she went about everything. It's been an emotionally taxing year between that, multiple failed IVF cycles, getting pregnant during a pandemic, and trying to work on forgiveness and rebuilding my relationship with her. My parents have decided to get back together and my mom is moving back into the house. My sisters are not taking it very well, so I have a lot of anxiety about upcoming situations where we will all be together (baby shower, after baby comes, etc.) where I know it will be tense and I won't be able to relax and enjoy the moment.
@jennifer_louise - Ahhh tomorrow!! Good luck mama!!
@mvt2003 - So scary! Glad both babies are doing well!
@pom9207 - I feel the same way! Have been reading lots of pregnancy books and parenting/how to raise a baby type books!

I went into labor, but wasn’t sure. I hit a small rock and popped my tire at 4:10on Tuesday afternoon right after the inspection and appraisal for our house. Within minutes I had a contraction and decided to high tail it to the car dealership once AAA came to put my spare on. Something told me I would be heading to the hospital later that day. Anyway, things were sporadic and we didn’t think we would be staying at the hospital, but we called in since my back was bothering me a bit. The on call doc seemed skeptical, but pretty soon after arriving at 9:15, I was having 511 contractions in my back. We waited it out until my doc came on around 5:30 and at that point they were 1-2 minutes apart. The girls arrived via csection at 8:37 and 8:39 am, in time for the start of the school day in true teacher’s pet style. I had a tubal ligation, which is so odd considering we were doing IF treatments less than a year ago. I am at peace knowing our journey is over. Anyway, these girls are a dream come true and I am wishing on every star and rainbow that you all get your miracles soon!

@jennifer_louise eeks so you had a baby a few days ago! Can't wait for an update!
@mvt2003 I can't believe I (umm I mean...you and your husband) have to wait 10 more weeks to find out if you have girls or boys in there! So sorry about the scary bleed and that there may be more adventures in store for you but glad all is well with the babes....I hope the SCH starts shrinking!!
@feather_heather Oh wow I do remember that update from you about your parents, that is a lot to process! I hope the family is able to heal soon from all of it!
@NYTino24 Congrats and welcome Callie and Harper!

*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? Just finally made our registry public, and getting ready for our very small, outdoor, socially distanced wedding next month. It's amazing how a day that only 13 people besides us will be involved in can still be so stressful to plan! Miss all of you, loving the funny GTKY's lately about preferences for various foods/ways of doing things. Sometimes you just need to have a good debate about what should be eliminated from Chex Mix.
This community was such a bright spot for me at moments when I felt like I was going nuts and I'm so glad it exists for us! But also hope there's a mass exodus soon and that it fills up with total strangers!

Trying to decide on spelling - Claire-Ellen or clairellen - leaning towards the hyphen? I think?
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? A few concerns have earned me ultrasounds every few weeks. I’m not sad about that!
I feel like I have so much to get done and so little time. We haven’t even cleaned out the guest room 😅 I think we are moving one of the guest beds to my office downstairs, so it will be a office / guest room.

*How are you doing picking out a name? Feel free to share it. We have a first name of John. Since everyone in our family is named John, we want to call him by his middle name while still honoring all the Johns. But we are stalled out with that. DH is only tossing out silly names, so we will see what happens. (His favorite is John Ralphio after the Parks and Rec character).
*Questions, concerns or other? Anything else exciting to share? We thought he had a slight heart issue, but we haven't seen it since that one ultrasound. Now it is getting more serious that he will be here pretty soon and feeling a little nervous! Working on the nursery and such.
I have been loving all the GTKY posts you guys have been doing! Missing you guys!

@mvt2003 you know I’m so freaking excited for you and your two littles!! Hopefully the SCH clears out soon and will cause no more stress!!
@the_road_to_oz the viability milestone is great! Hopefully Miss Claire-Ellen stays put for a while longer though!!
I have been going in for US’s and BW at least once a week since my first beta...mostly because of the OHSS, but then also because things weren’t progressing as they should. Good news, the bloating and discomfort from the OHSS is basically gone! My HCG hasn’t been increasing as it should, and my RE thought that I possibly had an ectopic pregnancy on top of one in my uterus (which is SUPER rare)! We had a major scare a couple weekends ago that sent us to the ER thinking it was possibly an ectopic rupture (turns out it was maybe a cyst/follicle rupture, or maybe ovarian torsion that didn’t twist all the way and then twisted itself back). We don’t know for sure and never will, but that is at least all better now too! My US early last week showed that the gestational sac had shrunk (we were told that I was most likely miscarrying for the third time, which was devastating...we were hoping to possibly hear a HB at that appointment)! I went for another scan two days later and the sac had grown (I think the RE was just as shocked as we were)! We held off on the methotrexate shot after that since my RE was no longer as concerned about ectopic. Fast forward to this week and the US showed 2 sacs (yes 2) in my uterus...apparently the RE thought there was a second the week before, but didn’t say anything to us because it was so small. Unfortunately, both sacs are empty and measuring around 5mm. My RE is not optimistic at all that either will result in a viable pregnancy. I was 2 days shy of 8 weeks at that US...we should for sure have seen a HB or HB’s by then, not empty sacs! We are supposed to go back in 2 weeks, but unless a miracle happens...we are out! The RE suggested waiting the 2 weeks and not doing anything in the meantime, because he knows this is our last shot...so if there is any chance at all, we want to take it! After doing more research since the last US, I don’t think there is really any chance that this turns out well for us!! We have honestly already accepted that this is a loss...we have mourned it several times already with the initial low HCG count, then the shrinking sac, and now empty sacs this far along!! We will of course be ecstatic if we get that miracle, but it really doesn’t seem like it’s meant for us to have biological children at this point!
We have already started talking about adoption again, and feel like that is the right next step for us...we cannot continue on this TTC journey, as it has only brought us heartache and we don’t see that it would be any different if we continued! We are ready to look forward to the future and have optimism about the adoption process and becoming parents, just in a different way!
I didn’t really want this to be a farewell post, but I’m afraid it kind of is! 😢 I think it will be hard to lurk here down the road, as we are having to close this chapter completely!! I’m honestly ok though...this process has brought DH and I even closer together, and we both believe in our hearts that we will be parents one day...hopefully soon!! I will still be rooting you all on from afar...I hope if I log back in at some point, that I don’t recognize a single name here!! You all are so strong, and each and every one of you deserves your THB!!! I truly hope and believe that great things are just around the corner for each and every one of us!! 💜
