TTC #1 | June '18-August '18 | DD | Born April 21, 2019 | Due May 10, 2019
TTC#2 | June '20-February '21 | DS | Due October 27, 2021
I think I am going to come back. It's only been about 6 weeks but I thought I'd reintro.
Me: 31 (32 in two weeks); MH: 32 How many months have you been TTC?: 10? 0? idk What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: right now just PNV and tracking period Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I was just active on TB from March to July. MH and recently stopped TTC after 8 unsuccessful cycles. Last month we were actually TTA which was a hard 180 from how much we were trying for so long. I found out last month that MH is an alcoholic. We immediately stopped TTC. I have been really struggling with it because while I know logically now is not a good time to TTC my heart still wants a baby for us. I know our family isn't complete. So I am back in the sense that we are not TTA anymore but I also don't want to add the stress that was TTC back into our lives. So no temping, OPK's, over analyzing CM, pom juice or pineapple core. We were just about to start some testing with an SA and HSG but I think we will wait a couple months before starting that process again. MH has been sober for 37 days, he is in AA, has a sponsor, we are both doing individual therapy and together couples therapy. I know we need to get better with our sharing of feelings and communication but we are both doing the work so I'm hopeful that through all of this our relationship will be so much stronger. If we wait until our relationship is perfect we wont ever have a baby.
I have been stalking the grad thread every week!

How many months have you been TTC?: 0, and so it begins...
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Right now, easing into TTC and just watching CM. Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): Hi there! Its been a long time since I have been around these boards (6 years or so). TW Kids
I was on TB boards with my first son back in 2015. MH and I have two kiddos (DS is 5.5; DD is 4 this month). We have been throwing around the idea of TTC a third for about two years now, but never felt it was the *right* time.
I work in marketing FT, and MH works in retail management. My work schedule has been severely affected by the pandemic, and I foresee myself being home much of the next couple of months. So, why not try to have a baby?! I think I am right around ovulation now, so we had sex the past two nights. Will be interesting to see if anything comes out of this cycle! Looking forward to chatting with all of you more!
ETA: I realized I didn't add a spoiler to my post re: kids. Just wanted to come back and reformat to add that. I am sorry to anyone who was caught off guard.
@krash_ It sounds like you and your husband are on the right path to making things work! I totally understand the feeling of waiting for the right time to have a baby. Sometimes there is never a perfect time, so might has well work with what you have!
@krash_ welcome back and glad to hear the steps you and YH are taking. i'm sure it is a challenging time for you both. wishing you peace [email protected]_
@daisy528 Welcome back! Hope your stay here is short & fun.
@krash_ We welcome you back with open arms. I’m so sorry for all the stress you’ve been through! But it sounds like you guys are putting in full effort to turn the situation around. It sounds like a LOT of work, but hopefully well worth it. I hope your relationship comes out even stronger than it’s ever been before.💗
@keikilove thanks! I loved being a part of the boards in the past, so I am looking forward to learning more about everyone!
Also, just wanted to apologize for not including a TW in my initial post (re: kids). Totally my fault, but I have since edited to reformat. I am sorry if it caught anyone off guard! Not my intentions at all. What a way to start a first impression...
@daisy528 TW for children isn't required in the newbie post. It is outside this thread and the TFAS thread. So if you did that in response to my meltdown in the randoms thread, it's all good! No hard feelings I've just been at this for far too long

@inthewoods23 slightly in response (and I do NOT blame you for feeling that way at all - you have absolutely every right to) but mostly because I saw in a previous newbie intros post other people did. Figured it wouldn't hurt to add anyways!! I have made a lot of friends through TB boards in the past who have different TTC pasts, so I just wanted to make sure I was taking everyone's feelings into consideration I am excited to be apart of the boards!
@daisy528 I have my good days and bad days - and extra bad days when pregnancy announcements show up unannounced in my social media but this community is such a godsend! I probably would have given up ages ago if I didn't have the support I get here

We have a 2 1/2 year-old daughter, didn’t have any trouble conceiving her but we sure are this time. I am into a lot of sports- currently cycling, running, hiking, Slopitch. Love spending time with my family. I worked in addictions and mental health counselling for several years but taking a break from working for a bit to spend time with my daughter. We moved due to my husband’s job last year and I am loving living super close to the Rocky Mountains.
Welcome back @krash_!!! Wow - it sounds like lots has happened in those 6 weeks (also, I can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks already!) I’m glad to hear YH is getting the help he needs. And also sounds like stepping away from all the tracking/supplementing might be a good thing.
@daisy528 welcome back to the threads and hopefully your stay here will be short but sweet. FX.
@Maggie1202 welcome back and congrats on the big changes you’ve made since last TTCing. Hopefully that break and those changes is what you needed and that it happens quickly for you!
@vicki2020 welcome back and so sorry that baby #2 has been a struggle. I hope you’ll find the support you’ve been missing here; but also that you don’t hang around here for too long.
Hello! I'm so happy to be part of this community and looking forward to getting to know all of you wonderful ladies!
Ages (you and SO): me: 29 and husband: 31 How many months have you been TTC?: 3 months What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Cervical mucus tracking, OPKs, timed intercourse Tell us about yourself! I work in HR in tech. I enjoy reading, exercising and spending time outdoors. I've been feeling a little stressed/overwhelmed with the TTC journey and looking forward to having a support system and community.
@lauren_0620 The last time I was on these boards, it definitely felt like it put TTC into perspective for me and helped me feel less overwhelmed! I hope it does the same for you!

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I was on this board about 7ish years ago and it was so nice to have a place to come to lend and received support during this wild ride. DH and I have a 7 year old and I currently stay home with her. I had a little side hustle before the pandemic but currently on pause.
I love to read, love to do embroidery while I watch Netflix, into crafty things. I enjoy going on walks and love going to the beach. We are currently exploring the idea that I might have Endometriosis, which has changed life for us a bit.
DH doesn’t want to talk about TTC he just wants it to happen and I feel pretty lonely trying to figure out my range of emotions with no one to talk to. Then I remembered how wonderful it was to have boards so I decide CD1= sign up.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Right now, just DTD and waiting for my first cycle post contraceptive removal. My cycles have always been very erratic, so I'll start charting after AF comes.

@MrsBlindLove my husband is the same way! He is excited but also doesn't really discuss these things. Glad we can have a group like this to fill the void.
@MrsBlindLove@bmo88@surrenderdorothy welcome! I do hope that your stay with us is short, but sweet; this is indeed a great place to share things that aren't easy to share IRL.
@MrsBlindLove heads up that your signature from when you were on the forum in 2010 is still there and out of date + has a few broken links; signatures don't show up on mobile, so you'll need a browser to update / edit it.
ETA: @bmo88 looks like your signature also needs an update.

I agree! ❤️ It’s so hard when you are tracking things everyday and it’s on your mind, it’s great to have an outlet! Haha!
