WAYDTGKU: tracking BBT and OPKs for now

R/R: Feeling optimistic that results will be back in time and we can get off the bench and try this month. It is odd to again be waiting on genetic testing to see whether or not we can try this month. Statistically, there is an 80% chance it will be negative, so naturally I am fixated on the 20%. At least I know this is the last possible testing. If it is negative, we can try naturally, and if it is positive, I’m not sure what is next but we would definitely not be trying again naturally. I have everything crossed that it comes back negative, but I’m getting increasingly terrified that it will come back positive. 

CS/Q: Nothing to see. My body answered the question of how long after a temp drop to expect AF on Saturday afternoon.

R/R: Hi all!! I missed you ladies while I was away last week. Our beach vacation was so so nice, and incredibly stress-free. It was really great to just be able to reset for the week and forget about the current state of the world. Since I was in a state that is on the NJ quarantine list, I have to work remotely for the start of the a school year, so that’ll be interesting starting tomorrow. I think it’ll be fine while I’m home but stressful once I go into work and have to jump right into doing therapy with students. I really can’t believe that tomorrow is already September!

CS/Q: my chart is a HOT MESS right now because of our trip lol

WAYDTGKU: DH's SA, HIO, supplements, temping, OPKs, GF and DF diet, I think I'm missing something...

R/R: I updated a little bit over the weekend. The wedding was nice. We'll see if we get covid - nobody bothered with a mask. I think we'll be okay. Ask me in 2 weeks ha. So weird considering I know my cousin and I think my aunt both have autoimmune issues so like... hello you're more at risk! Oh well, you can only do so much.

CS/Q: might add this later. It's getting cooler and my temp dropped quite a bit!

@inthewoods23 its hard to enjoy yourself when you are noticing other people not wearing masks, ugh.  but i read your update and seems like it was a good time all things considered!

R/R: well, still here! thinking O will be tomorrow since i finally got a "higher" reading on OPK this AM.  will test with every 3hr urine all day to track.  i just need to get DH on board to HIO today and tomorrow since we havent at all yet this cycle!  but trying to keep my cool and remain stress free this cycle as i have been so far.

CS/Q: i dont even want to show you my chart.  my temps are wacky because ive been very inconsistent with timing. mainly because im trying not to think about it as much

@inthewoods23 what’s the COVID situation in WI? Do you believe it was irresponsible for the wedding to happen as it did?

WAYDTGKU: Clomid + IUI plus a whole bunch of supplements. 

R/R: we had my friend and her SO over for a BBQ yesterday and it was such a lovely adult dinner! When we moved earlier this year, DH and I bought really nice dishes and serving things fully expecting to host regularly and this is probably the 2nd time we had ppl over and definitely the first time we had a nice sit down dinner. Also the house is now sparkling! Haha. We keep saying that we just need to have ppl over more frequently but with the virus, it’s a calculated decision to make.

Also, 3 doses of Clomid down, 2 to go. No side effects thus far. FX that keeps up but that inside, my follies are responding nicely. My RHR was up with first 2 doses of Clomid, but now it’s back to normal for this time of the cycle. 

CS/Q: boring except for the RHR.

@asf0613 I would be panicking if we hadn't HIO being that close to a positive OPK! 

@acleverusername things have never been too bad here, but the wedding was down in IL which is probably worse. The county they held the wedding in actually had some restrictions added Wednesday but the venue was like "fuck it, you can still have your wedding". I'm not even sure what the restriction is, but they were going to split the room in half (so it must have been something with number of people per room indoors or something).

Oh and fun fact, I thought all my BW was good from Friday but I got a message today that says I'm not immune to measles!! That would delay us 2 months! UGH. Figures haha.

@asf0613 we were posting at the same time so I missed you in my tags. Here's to hoping you can convince YH to HIO without too much of a struggle! I wish you a zenful time as you countdown to O and beyond.

@inthewoods23 honestly, i usually freak out too, but im REALLLY trying to not stress myself out this cycle.  i also wanted to make sure i got a -1 or -2 in, and DH is hard to wrangle in sometimes.  that coupled with my O date slowly creeping later and later each cycle, i kindof figured i wouldnt force the issue until my strips start getting darker.  separately, Yay for good BW! whats next?

@acleverusername me from a few months ago would never recognize the me this cycle. fx you continue to be symptom free!

@inthewoods23 I had a huge temp drop due to the cooler temperatures. Not complaining though, it's been great for sleeping. I am shocked by the at Rick people who don't seem to care. I have a friend whose husband and son have both had different types of brain cancer in the past year and had a 25 family reunion outside, but no masks 😳

R/R: DH keeps asking when we stood start trying. I love his enthusiasm to start trying this cycle, but I feel like I am giving him a biology lesson every time I try to say it's not time yet. I keep telling him he better be this interest in HIO when the time comes next week!

Loving the cooler weather. It's so nice to have the windows open.

CS/Q: pretty all over the place.

@acleverusername I am on Letrozole day 3 and still no issues. Although, I do regularly get headaches even without it, so that might be misleading. I've heard horror stories about these drugs, I feel thankful I've never experienced that!

@asf0613 I am usually pretty obsessed with making sure the timing is perfect but it only takes one time, right!? I may have missed in a previous post, does he have a weird schedule? I always think about people who have military spouse or similar situations where there timelines are even more important since they often have limited time together.

@runningoncookies I could use a vacation like that right about now, glad you had a good time!

@doubleup8 Hopefully that motivation sticks around! I have a feeling it will.

I haven't been doing the best lately and need to get back on track. I am the definition of a yo-yo dieter. When I go off the wagon, I go off hard.

R/R: Just ready for life to go back to "normal" from all the COVID stuff. I don't know when that time will come, but between that and all the crazy political stuff my social media, TV, etc. is filled with - I'm sick of it lol

CS/Q: Just starting charting - I will update as I get more info in there!

@acleverusername I love nice dishes to an unreasonable degree (I have been put on a dish buying moratorium since the wedding, but I still occasionally sneak something in...) so I am weirdly excited for your dishes. I hope you enjoyed them!

@akoros I don’t know what to put for the months either, since it feels odd to say month 2 when I have been trying since December, but am also not even officially off the bench yet. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️. Welcome to the dailies! 

@babyfeverbeliever I recently went hard off the diet as well, so I’m trying to get back to it. I hope we can both do well this week.

@akoros some people add "AL" when counting the months/cycles. You'll get the hang of it. LOL at everyone noting the cooler weather. Summer hasn't begun in SF yet! (Usually starts in September). 

@babyfeverbeliever I'm so sorry your TTC journey has been so long; hopefully this last cycles does it for you. I'm curious about the OPKs. I don't know how/why I'd use them with an IUI coming up. Then again, I just got a new shipment from Amazon, so I've got plenty around. 

I may or may not have jinxed myself: currently have a headache and feeling crabby. Then again, I didn't sleep well last night, and there's still lots of smoke where we are and that was giving me a headache all last week too. So... maybe it's more of the same or maybe it's Clomid. 🤷‍♀️

@fitzfizz yes I believe it's the CDC that says to wait 4 weeks after the last dose because the live virus can cause birth defects or something. Presumably we wouldn't do an IUI with the clinic until I have 2 doses. Unless I can just do 1 if they find I'm immune after the first shot? At least I hope. *Sigh*

@acleverusername They have me using the OPK's because I'm doing timed intercourse and if I happen to get peak before my midcycle ultrasound they will have me HIO so I don't miss it. Tomorrow is CD7 and I'm going to start the OPK's. It's a day earlier than the directions say but I'm impatient like that.

Hi everyone...

R/R- I’m new to this group but decided its time to reach out for support. I’m 39, husband is 40, we have a 2.5 year-old and been trying for over a year to get pregnant again. My cycles are very regular. Unfortunately my husband and I aren’t on the same page...I want another baby more than anything while my husband is half-heartedly trying. I have had some bloodwork done and pelvic ultrasound to test for infertility issues but they all came back normal. I have been trying for almost a year to convince my husband to attend fertility clinic (I was referred last November) but can’t get further testing until we both attend. I know our ages make getting pregnant much harder too and each month when my period comes, I feel like our chances of getting pregnant are less and less. Not looking for advice, my husband and I have had many many discussions but it’s obvious we will never be on the same page about this. I’d love to give my daughter a sibling to grow up with.

Otherwise, welcome! I’m sorry that YH and you aren’t aligned on #2. That is a tough situation to be in. Sending you virtual hugs of support as that’s all I can basically can do.
