Testing: Thursday apparently since Amazon was out of stock on the 3-pack FRERs yesterday, I ordered them today and they are supposed to come Wednesday. 

R/R: I’m exhausted and having trouble getting going today. I keep saying I’m going to go to bed earlier but I don’t, hopefully tonight is the night. We did end up getting out yesterday to take a long walk on a trail in our park, so I was really happy about that. We’re going to try to go again this weekend now that it’s not so hot.  I have to go to a client today and am hoping the person coming with me will be able to handle most of the work. Part of what has been hard about this year is that we have a lot of new work so I have to help people a ton, but this person worked on this audit last year too so hopefully he will be able to do a lot on his own.

R/R: My day off on Friday was so wonderful but I am not really feeling refreshed. I feel like I need an entire week away from work at a minimum. I've been here an hour and I am already so annoyed and over it and I need to snap out of it so that I can be in a good mood during my assistant's review this afternoon. I'm also hoping I hear from my doctor today to go over my lab results but not sure how busy she is and I just want to know for sure what we're doing. This is the one problem about having labs done on a Friday lol.

@bows22 - I need to start trying to go to sleep earlier, too. I have been getting in bed early but then I play around on my phone for a couple of hours. Hopefully the person going to the client with you is pretty self sufficient!

R/R: I get to sit in my classroom and listen to a super fun 2.5 hour virtual meeting. 🙄 It’s a bit annoying as our superintendent is giving the meeting....from her house. Still waiting for my class list. School starts next Tuesday and i dont know how many are in my class. The stress is coming....

CS/Q: it’s garbage day so I think my body started waking up before my temp alarm went off. 😑 so I’m pretty sure today’s temp is artificially high.

@gusgus14 I hope your doctor reaches out today! Good luck putting on a happy face for your assistant’s review. Having a delicious lunch usually improves my day, hopefully you are having something good!

@chindimples04 oh that is so annoying about the meeting. Did you find out if you are teaching virtually or not?

@chindimples04 - that's so obnoxious that you have to do the meeting from your class! Hopefully you'll have all the info you need soon.

@chindimples04 that's infuriating. Your superintendent shouldn't require you all to be there if she isn't! And wtf no class lists yet! Ughhhh I know that stress way too well.

R/R: I think I might go here now? Waiting for one more temp to confirm it but I'm hopping over now. I saw my PCP today about my anxiety. She was amazing and listened to my concerns and validated my feelings, especially being a teacher right now. She's putting me on Zoloft since that's safe for pregnancy but also gave me some Xanax for staving off panic attacks as needed if I am not KU this month.

CS/Q: timing wasn't great. O snuck up on me!

Testing: Definitely not. No point 

R/R: Well looks like O day was yesterday according to FF, so I'm over here now. Im happy my body is ovulating cause I didn't think it was going to. Going back to normal is good. Couldn't really HIO cause I had a biopsy on my cervix on Friday so I'm trying hard to let it heal and be good. This sucks and was bad timing but oh well, better then it being infected for next cycle. I know I won't get KU this cycle but hopefully its ok with all of you if I hang out here till AF comes? I'm just going to enjoy my day off today and relax on the couch. I got my nails done yesterday and I'm loving them so that was a nice treat. Here's a pic of them. What you ladies think?

@gusgus14 All I think about when I see or say your profile name is gus gus the little cute fat mouse from Cinderella 😆 He was my fav. Glad you had a good day off on Friday. I hate having labs done on a Friday. Always feels like an eternity to wait lol. FX you hear back from your doctor today and that your results are all good.

@bows22 sorry to hear you’re not feeling productive today, esp after a positive and productive day on Saturday. As for going to bed earlier, I highly recommend it. Though it took me about a week to train myself, paired with an earlier wake up. It as a week of sleep deprivation, but so worth it. 

@gusgus14 I find that it’s so easy to forget to take a vacation since travel options are limited right now. However, the mental break is still required and can be rewarding. 

@chindimples04 same question as @bows22: are you teaching in person? Virtually? Or a combination? I hope you manage to keep stress at bay with the upcoming start of school year.

@gingermama29 really happy that you had a good visit with your PCP; and actually, you and @inthewoods23 openly discussing your struggles and what you’re doing about it prompted me to ask my RE if I should go on a low-dose of something. I’ve battled with anxiety in the past (incl. panic attacks) so want to be on top of that.

@mindyb2019 welcome to the TWW party room! Sounds like you’re doing the necessary “maintenance” on your body so that you’re ready to go next cycle. I didn’t do much lurking in WTO but where did you land in that discussion with YH? Will he be ready to start trying next cycle?

Testing: tested at 10 and 12 DPO... nada; Friday was my last day on progesterone supplements 

R/R: the fire situation in the Bay Area continues to weigh heavily on me. I’m in SF proper so the fires themselves aren’t affecting us, but the nearest fire is just 30-40 miles south. The smoke is really bad. We’re used to having windows open to keep the house cool, but haven’t been able to for the past 3 days so it’s really stifling and uncomfortable to sleep in. Climate change is real and we’re seeing just what this means from coast to coast 😭😭😭😞😞😞

@acleverusername lol  thanks. PARTY 😆 so ya with my DH we talked and he wasn’t feeling up to trying this month but we did agree that we can seriously start trying next cycle so yay! I’m excited for that. FX nothing puts a hault on that as I have had a lot going on with my body lately so we will see I guess. I’m glad the fires arn’t directly affecting you but I understand you still worry as there are some going on. Sorry the smoke is so bad. Looks really hazy and smoky from your picture. That sucks. I’ve been there before.

@mindyb2019 - that's who we named him after! When we adopted him he had this giant kitten belly and the name seemed perfect. 
@acleverusername - We were supposed to be leaving this week to go to Boston for a week to visit family and go to a Billy Joel concert (none of which is happening now obviously) and I thought about just taking the time off anyway but I have so much to do that I don't think it's going to work. I'm definitely planning out some mental health days through the rest of the year though! Those fires are so scary and it's easy for people who aren't over there to forget about all of the impacts in the outlying areas as well like all of the smoke in the air/poor air quality

@chindimples04 that meeting does not sound like fun. Everyone was required to go in while the super is at home??! When is the first day with students? 

@gingermama29 glad your visit to your Dr was helpful. The mental stress of TTC and everything going on in the world right now is a lot. I took a social media/phone break last week and that was helpful to me too. I hope you don't need the Xanax! (But if you do, use it! It helps my panic attacks so much)

R/R: hi! I've been MIA for the last couple weeks. My mental health has been all over the place between social media bashing of teachers, covid stuff, and TTC. I've been trying to just take a break from being so hyperfocused on my cycle too, but now that I'm in this point in the TWW it's on my mind, even if we had bad timing this month! I've been reading a ton lately and am almost done "American Dirt". It's good, but definitely heavy and a lot of TW. Anyone have any good recs? I went to Michael's craft store this morning and they have all their Halloween stuff out already and I definitely bought a ton- looking forward to the fall!

@_orchid_ aww thanks. I don’t have high hopes for my results on my biopsy. It will prob be bad. Just a gut feeling I have I love going to Micheals craft store. It’s addicting in there lol I want to buy everything 😆 Sorry for your BFN. Its still early so FX for you. Your chart looks promising. Sorry your mental health hasn’t been the greatest. Nor has mine to be honest. I’ve been struggling lately.

@mindyb2019 was it a colposcopy for an abnormal pap? I had one of those about 12 years ago that still came back abnormal and ended up with a LEEP. it wasn't bad. If that's it and you have any questions let me know!

@bows22 @acleverusername so, I opted to teach in person. I wanted to teach virtually only because of outside conflict***TW**** ie DD not being able to go to daycare because of virtually teaching in other districts.***TW*** Because my inability to work in person every day is covid rated, I can teach virtually from home on the days I have to and an educational aide with my students in person. 

@_orchid_ we are doing a soft start next week where we meet with the students and their parent one at a time kind of like parent teacher conferences. Full day with all kids will start on September 8.

@mindyb2019 the length of these virtually meetings is insane. I’m on my second 2.5 hour meeting of the day.

@acleverusername I'm glad speaking openly about it had helped you advocate for yourself too. The wildfires are so scary! I'm glad you're not on any immediate danger but I can definitely empathize with how you're feeling.

Welcome back @_orchid_ . I hope you're in a better head space after a little break. Did you take any other actions to keep stress at bay? Also, I started reading American Dirt, but then also looked at reviews on Goodreads and don't know if I'll finish it given that it's written by someone who's never actually experienced the issues the book talks about. This is the review that left me so conflicted. 

@chindimples04 I'm in virtual meetings all day, every day, but they're usually no longer than 1 hour and even in those I tend to tune out... I can't imagine being stuck in 2, 2.5 hour ones. 🔪

@acleverusername don’t I know it! My New Years resolution this year was a consistent bedtime and I kept up with it until covid started and just couldn’t stay on track. That’s so crazy about the fires. Glad you guys are safe. 30-40 miles seems so close. 

@[email protected]_orchid_ 9 dpo is still so early! I’ve been striking out with books lately but “Tell Me Lies” by Carola Lovering wasn’t bad. It’s not going to win any awards but it was lightheaded and held my interest!

@chindimples04 that's nice that you'll be meeting with your students and parents. I hope it helps get you excited and feel less anxious about this year. 

@acleverusername I've also started running again to help with mental health- I stopped in June bc the heat outside but it really helps me with anxiety. Trying to be more mindful now too. I think limiting phone time helped a lot, honestly. Yes I've held off on reading AD d for a while bc of reviews but my book club chose it this month. I am hoping to read something more authentic when I'm done.
