(Yes....I did just start the newbies thread, as a "newbie - hope that's okay!)
How many months have you been TTC?: 3.5 years, but off and on. Got serious about it in 2018-2019, but then had to back off a bit. Was struggling with PCOS (super irregular periods), and tried Letrozole for several months with no luck. Some months even on Letrozole were still 60-75 day cycles. *TW* - kiddo
After lots of discussion with DH, we looked at adoption, and then kind of mutually decided to accept that DD was going to be an only child (the adoption decisions/discussions could fill a whole thread themselves).
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: I got serious about my health this year and have lost a little over 30lbs since January, bringing me back down to normal BMI range. Lo and behold, my cycles have regulated - they're making a lot more sense now, and (TMI) I have at least a little libido now. So we're going to go for it low-pressure style. I've taken on a fun role at work that has a lot more leadership/admin, and I'm loving it so far, so I'm okay with taking it easy on myself this time.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I have a 4y/o daughter
a cat, and brand-new 4 month old puppy. I love walking (and have started jogging) and actually have started enjoying cooking (thanks, COVID, I guess?). I'm in the medical field (lab).

@lcking82 Welcome back, friend! Congratulations on the weight loss & the good things that have ensued. I hope your stay here can really be short & sweet for the best reason this time.😊
@lcking82, Hello! I'm back here after awhile away, too. Congrats on the positive health changes!
Ages (you and SO): We are both 37
How many months have you been TTC?: 2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Medium-effort charting, I guess I'd call it? My sleep is all over the place lately, so I'm tracking BBT this cycle but not expecting it to be super accurate.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I love to run, hike, and cook. Since covid, I'm pretty much a quarantine baking cliche of sourdough projects, and I've enjoyed the time at home taking care of my gardens and chickens despite the stir craziness and isolation. I teach college and will be "going back" to remote teaching next week.
TW kids
I have two daughters, 7 and 4. Not that it's up to them or that they actually know we're trying, but my 7-year-old recently told me that I already had too many babies, and my 4-year-old routinely asks for twin baby sisters. My brain sometimes sides with my oldest, but my heart could have a million babies. I've been dreamily thinking about a third for a few years, and then my spouse said he was thinking about it this summer and my dreaminess suddenly got more purposeful. I guess at the end of the day I just feel like we could all use another person to love if it works out.
Ages (you and SO): I am 33 and DH is 37 How many months have you been TTC?: This will be my first month actively trying to conceive What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Going to try some ovulation sticks to get an idea about ovulation Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have spent the last few years trying to get healthier. I lost 80lbs over the last two years and we bought a Peloton right before COVID shutdown happened (timing is everything) I've become an addict since then!
TW: Kids, cancer, miscarriage
I have two children. My son is 5 and going into kindergarten in two weeks and my daughter will be two in October. I had hoped my kids would be closer in age but my husband was diagnosed with AML (a type of leukemia) when he was 33 years old so obviously that changed our plans about a lot of things. We were told we'd have to do IVF after his chemo was over (and were able to bank before it started) because he would be sterile after an aggressive chemo plan. A few months after his chemo ended I got pregnant twice but unfortunately had a miscarriage with both of those pregnancies. I ended up getting pregnant a third time a month after the second miscarriage and had my daughter. Looking to add a third (or fifth I guess) to the crew!
How many months have you been TTC?: 2 years off and on with varying degrees of seriousness (I don’t handle the process well mentally, so occasional breaks have been necessary)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: We just started another “serious” period this month. This month I’ve just done OPKs, no temping. Next month we will start doing IUIs. I have PCOS, and I have had endo in the past, which was removed when I had surgery on my septate uterus about 4 years ago. It’s probably back (the endo not the septate uterus), but who knows.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I work from home (software). Two pups, a French bulldog and a Maltese. Married 6 years. My biggest passion is reading.

I have a 3 year old daughter. We tried for 2 years for her as well and finally got KU via IUI after the surgery I mentioned above. This community was a HUGE help to me back then.
Side note, anything to know about TB these days? TTGP looks pretty quiet.
Happy to be here and hope to get to know some of you ladies better.
Edit: plz lmk if there is anything funky w my signature. I can’t figure out how to edit it from my phone, and I’m currently esconced on the couch & too lazy to walk to my computer. I will check it later to be safe.
