@kpearse99 I think as long as your husband isn’t a super traditionalist then anything is fine! We have never done the traditional ones. But if I were thinking cotton for my dh he would love new pjs! He doesn’t sleep in them, but we love cozy clothes for around the house!

We are not traditional gift givers and DH is impossible to shop for- he doesnt care about most things, but has very strong opinions about the most random things. A composter has probably been the most successful anniversary gift from me 😂

I love the hammock idea!  You could also do outdoor pillows/cushions? (I realize they may not be "cotton" but probably some sort of cotton/poly blend could count?)

@kpearse99 I punted and we got joint a gift "to ourselves" that was a massive adult-sized bean bag. My husband had been wanting one for a while and I was drawing a blank on what I wanted. I justified it by saying it's covered in cloth (not cotton...but whatev).

@_orchid_ Ugh, tell me about it. Half the stuff I buy him never gets used, even when he specifically asks for it. Gifts are always a struggle

DH and I don't give anniversary gifts, we just go out to dinner at the same place we had our reception. Is that weird?

@emeraldduchess I think that sounds lovely! We weren't able to get our acts together the first couple of years, but maybe starting with next year's we can change the gift to just a weekend away or something. We got married out in the mountains not too far from home, so should be easy enough to do (in non-COVID times)

@emeraldduchess we did something similar the first few years with a gift. Then we bought a house and moved to just a nice dinner out or at home.

@keikilove Yea, but those friends love each other despite the spinach (or fudge like in that Bridesmaid GIF) in their teeth    hahaha I've kept it my little secret this whole time but I couldn't let it go any longer    It makes me giggle every time I see it and then I start singing songs from the show!

Lol honestly, I have always thought her profile picture from far away looks like someone with a mud mask on with just there pink skin around their eyes showing. I don't usually click on people's profile pictures...now I am wondering how many I am looking at wrong and how many think mine are something other than Dorothy Gale's ruby slippers in green?    Maybe I should change my profile picture to something more emerald-y?

@legallykate one does wonder what the royal protocol is for her doctors...like do they bow/curtsy to her before and after the exam? Do they have to walk backwards out of the exam room so they don't turn their back on the Queen? I have so many questions.

This makes me think we should do a GTKY of what we think people's profile pics are when we are just glancing at them.  I've definitely had a few funny ones come up...

I'm not gonna bother creating an August questions thread for this (apparently no one did this month!) since we're like a week away from September....

How many of you get CM a couple days before AF is due? Is it usually sticky? And that's fairly common in the TWW no? Should I be slapped for SS? 😆

@inthewoods23 I’ve definitely seen people say that they had a ton of CM and that was a symptom, and others say they had none and that was a symptom. So maybe it’s just whatever is different from your norm??

@bows22 I don't think it used to be the norm for my cycles but it does seem to be now that I'm not on all the fertility meds. I think I had sticky stuff last month too. But that's not gonna stop me from wondering what it means lol

@inthewoods23 I sometimes get CM during the TWW, too. It definitely made me SS like crazy when it first started!

Before my BFP with DD I noticed that I had A LOT of creamy CM, but not sticky. I honestly didn’t think anything of it, but *TMI* I definitely soaked through underwear and had to wear a pad. But my best friend was drier than a bone before her BFP, so who the f knows what’s normal. 🤣

@keikilove love the new picture! I like that GTKY topic! My old picture from 2012 was of a full orchid, and the thumbnail looked very female reproductive organ-y. The thumbnail I have now reminds me of the flowers of Alice in Wonderland
