**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. @inthewoods23 I’d be reading into that too😬. Your chart looks great! Good luck testing if you do this weekend!

    Month/Cycle: 20/22 including 2 benched

    CD/DPO: 19/5

    Timing: -2, O x2, +1

    Typical LP length: 12

Testing: Sometime next week before the weekend

R/R: I skipped the office yesterday and am going to go in this weekend when there’s “no one” there (there’s always someone there). DH is on board because I’m going to time it to pick up dinner at this taco place we love that’s downtown. Works out perfectly! We have no plans this weekend except that we probably should try to see my brother and his family because they have tried a couple of times on weeknights where we have had something else going on. But I’m also so busy with work during the week that I can’t mentally think about visitors too. I have something I’m trying to wrap up today so hopefully I’ll be ready for the weekend after that!

  • @bows22 I'm tempted to do research on how their behavior changes, but she's always had her periods of time of being extra lovey and in my lap and other times she doesn't hang around much. And occasionally she seems more interested in DH. I'm probably just noticing now that she always does this around this time in my cycle. Certainly our hormones change in the TWW and maybe that's what she's responding to and not so much that I'm KU? MMMM tacos sound good right now. There's a Mexican place that's near DH's work that he's taken me to on the weekends that is soooo good. We haven't had it in quite a while since it's not very near us at home.

@inthewoods23 I would read into that too  :D  I would start charting it so you can see if it happens at the same time each cycle.
@bows22 mmmm tacos sound good. I might need to make some Whole30 tacos again tonight.

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD/DPO: 25/13

    Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 14 days

    Testing: BFN yesterday, WFAF

R/R: MH took the BFN yesterday really hard. I learned that he has apparently been self weaning off of his antidepressants because he thinks they could be affecting his fertility. He feels like he has been doing a lot and not getting the results and I think his mental health is causing him to really internalize all of this and believe it is all his fault. Idk if taking a break from TTC so hard or getting some testing to see if there is a problem and make a plan will make any difference. I started listening to the Practically Fertile podcast there was a two part series on egg quality and she mentioned that ovulating early, idk what is considered too early since I have been O-ing on CD 12 or 13, and light periods, again not sure what is considered light but I usually only need a light tampon for a whole day through my period, can be signs or poor egg quality. She also mentioned that the eggs you ovulate matured 90 days ago so any changes you make to improve egg quality wont be effective for 90 days. She practices Chinese medicine so there is a lot of information to sort through but I might try to do some more research.

    CS/Q: temp might be falling

@inthewoods23 he has had a virtual visit where he asked about his fertility and got some suggestions for supplements to take but idk if they discussed his antidepressants. That was with his PCP that he doesn't like but his appointment today is with his psychiatrist who prescribed the antidepressants. Either way I don't think he is going to get the right support or answers from either Dr until we potentially see a RE which I'm sure is really frustrating for him.

  • @krash_ definitely worth looking into the RE route. It is really difficult to be in the position of not knowing where the issue truly is. It's so hard to be supportive when you're also struggling to handle the situation. Of course we're all here to help whatever your journey looks like  <3

  • @inthewoods23 I read into that too! Realistically my cat is super clingy right now bc we're home all the time- if we go out of the house when we come back in she's all over us. She is going to be majorly depressed when we eventually go back to normal. But there are days when only I'll do for her so  I'm like hmmm.

@bows22 mmmm tacos!! Enjoy those!!  We've been trying to see family recently too but have a heat wave going on so keep rescheduling bc we want to meet outside. Good luck!

@krash_ that's interesting about the egg quality, I've been o'ing typically on day 12 or 13 as well, which is a change from when I last charted 4 years ago and then also 7-8 years ago. Hmmm. Glad YH opened up about his medication and his stress- now that he's talking to you about it, you can figure something out together. Communication is the first step. I forget, I think last time you talked to your Dr they said no RE yet? Is it possible to reach out to one on your own? Information is a good thing, and might be able to help YH with his stress.

    Month/Cycle: 15/13

    CD/DPO: 22/9

    Timing: -4, -2, 0

    Typical LP length: 11-14

Testing: probably again on Sunday or Monday

R/R: it's overcast, hot, and we have chances for thunderstorms today so a good day to just stay in. Went for a walk with a friend this morning that I haven't seen since March so that was nice! Got no plans for this weekend since the plans we made were cancelled bc the heat. Same stuff, different day pretty much.

@krash_ I’m sorry for the BFN, especially that it’s so hard on YH. I wonder if his doc would order an SA for him so he could see if the meds are having an effect? I know some REs don’t prescribe the SA and have the PCP do it so you might have luck there.

@Kenneylynn3 i hope AF at least gets here soon so that you can start the next cycle!

@_orchid_  it’s so hot always here too. Makes it hard to do anything when you want to be outside but it’s not bearable. Good luck if you test this weekend!

  • krash_krash_ member
@bows22 my OB ordered the SA for him but we were just waiting to see if this cycle was the one. I think he could call to schedule it at this point though. I'll call to schedule my HSG on CD1. I think it's just tough because there isn't a male equivalent to an OB to help him make sense of things.

  • @_orchid_ she was definitely all over me when we were first home. I think in the last few weeks we've reached her understanding that this is the new normal now.

I did hear this morning that we'll be WFH into next year (mostly with school and everything). Should be moving to a new building probably summer/fall next year so I may never see my coworkers while I'm hopefully KU.

@_orchid_ your days sound like how mine feel, same thing, different day. We were able to get out in our yard and get some work done before it rains at least.
