@bluetickgal not really any jams! Apple butter is OK. I like plain peanut butter sandwiches but I’ll add apple butter or honey if I want to switch it up.

Team strawberry!

However, apple jelly with peanut butter is delish. I also recommend raspberry jam with almond butter.
And this may be an exclusively New England thing, but I have to give a shout-out to Fluff. I enjoyed many a Fluffanutter sandwich as a kid! I don't know if I would eat one now, though.

I'm with @_orchid_ both on being anti-PB&J and on grilled cheese actually being the ultimate comfort food. I don't want a sandwich that's kind of sweet- that goes for both PB&J and sandwiches with MW! The only time I eat jams is on a cheese plate- in that context I like orange and apricot the most.

Now I want a grilled cheese sandwich. I haven't had one in FOREVER. Grilled cheese with fries was my go-to post-rehearsal late night meal in college. Soooo good. (I feel a cheese debate is about to start...)

I miss cheese and grilled cheese with tomato soup. So good! 🤤

Strawberry of these two but I actually like raspberry best. Though it's been many years since I've had grape so I might like that more than I think I do. I went through a long period of refusing to eat PB&j. I only started eating it again 3 years ago.

I'm so sad being on a GF and DF diet right now because we have a place called Peanut Butter and Jelly Deli near us and it's the greatest little eatery. I get chucks of apples on my PB&Js with bacon and apple butter!

@emeraldduchess and @kpearse99, I've got to admit that, while I enjoy making "fancy" grilled cheese with real cheese (fontina and smashed blackberries, anyone!?) from time to time, the true comfort food grilled cheese for me is Kraft singles all the way, with Campbell's tomato soup. It's just so nostalgic!

Oh definitely team strawberry but I don't love PB&J's. I do PB toast with banana though.

I like fancy grilled cheese with mustard on it BUT won't turn down a Kraft singles grilled cheese. DH doesn't eat any cheese (or Mac and cheese) except blue, feta, and goat 😂 but he is legit anaphylactic allergic to dairy in a mild way so he eats it sparingly. I get all his extra cheese which is great but we're not about to order a cheese board when we go out which is sad.

I'm loving these GTKY!

I am definitely on board the strawberry train, but like @_orchid_ I usually get the preserves because I am ALL about the strawberry chunks. 

I can't believe how many of y'all are anti PB&J! The absolute BLASPHEMY! I will pretty much eat any kind of cheese, but if I'm going to go processed I prefer the Velveeta singles over the Kraft. As far as grilled cheese, I don't discriminate, fancy, plain Jane...they're all beautiful to me.

Strawberry for me please!!

I did recently discover fig preserves and almond butter though and that is like my new favorite fall treat. 

Also, I love all kinds of grilled cheese. Fancy, classic, super basic, just give me toasty bread and melted cheese and I’m in my happy place

See grilled cheese is the ultimate unifier!! I will eat it any way. I love this time of year bc we have it with home grown tomato slices. MH also smokes his own bacon and it is delicious all together!!

@bows22 I only do apple butter on toast, but I can definitely get down with a PB & honey sandwich! So good! 

Plus 1 for team raspberry and all the grilled cheese love!!

Thanks to this thread, I made a grilled cheese with my salad for lunch. With whole grain mustard and sliced turkey on my homemade sourdough bread. It was soooooo good.

I get this fancy strawberry vanilla jam (it has chunks so idk what the technical definition of preserve vs. jam vs. jelly is) that's to die for and it almost feels sacrilegious to mute the flavor with any nut butter for a sandwich. It's amazing with goat cheese on a slice of sourdough toast.

I make almost all of my own jellies and jams BUT just between these two I prefer strawberry AND now I have something to go add over in the UO thread 😂🤣
