R/R: Last night was HARD! MH went fishing with his brother, so I was alone in the house with my Wondfo early result strips and it was DAMN tempting. I held strong and told myself that it doesn't actually matter if it turns positive or not right now, nothing is anything until beta. I turned on I'll Be Gone in the Dark and tried to not think about it, and thankfully gruesome horrible murders were a fantastic distraction. (If for some reason this transfer works out my poor embryo(s) will have been exposed to a lot of graphic true crime since that documentary series is pretty much all I've watched since transfer )
And in today's tree update - the new tree company may be able to fit us in today!!!!!!!!!!!! That would truly be amazing!!!

R/R: had a really good time with DH yesterday at the marsh. Except it was very hot with little wind and buggy at times (obvs cuz it's a marsh). So we didn't hike around much because DH was dying from the heat. Then we did an auto tour route which was a lot of fun. They had large signs you could pull off and read so of course we did every single one - except for one that split and went up on an incline so we weren't sure which direction to go, plus there was a car stopped up there so we weren't sure if it was some kind of service drive. We were surprised there weren't signs to tell you what these pull offs were since you can't see around all the plants/flowers/cattails. DH and I got home and we're quite exhausted from the fresh air, bit we will definitely be going back in the future! Oh, and there was some very unique wildlife I never thought I would see! There were pelicans! In the Midwest! I thought they were always along ocean beaches!
CS/Q: should get CHs soon. Might discard those 2 high temps on CD12 and 13 to make it prettier lol

@mvt2003 what will @inthewoods23 do if the tree saga ends today? What will we all do?! 😫 Glad to hear you managed to keep yourself busy with YH out of the house. Stay strong until beta!
@inthewoods23 sounds like you had a really nice day with YH; it’s so nice to take a pause from electronics and just enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer.
Month/Cycle: 6/6
CD/DPO: 20/5
Timing: -4, -1, 0 (according to Premom anyway)
Typical LP length: 11-12ish
Testing: Proov starting 7/19, HPT 7/21
R/R: Well, technically, I broke Whole30 and have to restart since this NaPro OB has prescribed a bajillion tests for me starting with fasting glucose/insulin which I decided to do today (I want results sooner than later!) No biggie if I have to extend Whole30 by 5 days; I’m really enjoying eating all of the protein and veggies! And DH has been cooking A LOT. But basically only stirfry.
Anyhow, on the topic of the NaPro OB, it’s definitely like I hoped which is trying to figure out root cause of issues hence all the testing. I’ll be back at the lab for a blood draw tomorrow and again on Tuesday. Putting more details in spoiler.
The NaPro OB is definitely faith based. Her nurse told me right off the bat that she doesn’t prescribe contraception or refer for abortions.
Here are all the blood tests I’ll be doing besides the fasting glucose / insulin:
Metabolic fasting profile:
• Lipid Profile
• Cortisol
• Vitamin D
• OmegaCheck (EPA, DPA, DHA)
• Complete Metabolic Panel
• C-Reactive Protein
7DPO tests, which include:
• Progesterone
• Estradiol
• DHEA-Sulfate
• Androstenedione LCMS
Finally, 9DPO tests, including:
• Progesterone
• Estradiol
• Prolactin
• MTHFR (C677T) & (A1298C)
• B12
The good news is that since I was 4DPO yesterday, she did an ultrasound and confirmed that a follicle released an egg.
In terms of diagnosis, she suspects that I am not getting enough fats (though with Whole30, that’s no longer the case!)
If we’re not successful this month, she’s also going to test my estradiol 3x during my fertile window next cycle.
She’ll hold off on an HSG until she gets some more results but says that it might be better to wait until we’re ready to start Letrazole/Clomid (if required) as it can help with conception.
Only thing I’m on the fence about it that she wants me to start charting my cycles using the Creighton method and I’m sooooo not sold on that. I’m already looking at my C.M. except that I do a cervix sweep to get at it, and not look at the tissue which is what this method is all about.
@mvt2003 good for you for staying strong! If you're looking for more true crime to distract you they just released a reboot of Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix. I'm addicted! @inthewoods23 sounds like the perfect day! Minus the bugs and the heat @acleverusername sorry about having to restart your Whole30. The fat is definitely key to keeping you full longer and it retains your body to burn fat rather than carbs and sugar. How is the Creighton method different than FAM (fertility awareness method) which is basically what we are all doing.
Month/Cycle: 8/8
CD/DPO: 18/6

I'm excited to see them though because we haven't seen them since the end of January and they always have such good advice and wisdom so we'll see what they say about this whole TTC journey.

@krash_ I just read about Unsolved Mysteries on Netflix this morning! I'm gonna have to watch it. I watched the show in the 90's like a junkie! From what I gathered, the Creighton Model is a type of FAM, but it only looks at changes in CM BUT it instructs you to only look at the CM on toilet paper. Which is dumb IMHO. I'm doing a "cervix sweep" which is giving me a much better opinion of the quality of my CM.
Oh and @krash_ that glucose test gave me SUCH a sugar crash... I had to take 1/2 day off work. Probably not having eaten any sugar for 4.5 days had something to do with its intensity.
