Hey. I’m new to The Bump even though this is not my first infertility rodeo.
In 2017, after five years of marriage and no BC, I was diagnosed with uterine polyps and PCOS. I had surgery in early 2018 to remove the polyps, but was still recovering (it was bad, it triggered hormonal bleeding that would not stop) when I found out the ex husband was cheating on me.
Now, I am engaged (our wedding was canceled because of Covid closures) and we wanted to get a picture of our fertility. I’m looking good despite the PCOS, but fiancé has low count and motility, so we have a 1% chance of natural conception and my doctor wanted to start an IUI cycle immediately since we’re both older with fertility issues. That’s where I am now. 36, engaged, giving myself fertility shots in prep for my first IUI attempt.
