Post partum depression.

Hi! This is my first. However im
scared about PPD. Considering I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life and mild depression for the last 7 or so years. This that have had PPD, how did you deal? I’m getting a schedule c section, how soon could I exercise? Lol thanks!

    Hi it would be great if you could introduce yourself in the intro thread and read the rules of the board.  Highly suggest you speak to your physician about exercise and about PPD as well.  Everyone’s circumstances are different especially if you have a history of anxiety a health professional is your best bet.

    The best thing you can do for PPD is to talk to your doctor and get help. 
    With c-sections, you can’t exercise for at least 6 weeks after but that is also something you need to talk about with your doctor.

    I echo talking to Dr. I got my RX the day I delivered with # 2 and it was a night and day experience compared to DD #1 where I waited until she was already 9 months to talk to my dr.
