Rant: My body still doesn't know what the fuck it's doing this cycle and I'm over it. I just want AF to show so I can move on with my life.
Rave: My youngest turns 2 in a week! I honestly can't believe it. It honestly does not seem like it's been that long. He amazes me every day. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful kids.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? There's a lot- I'm a witch, I'm polyamorous, I'm genderqueer and queer. Take your pick haha!

Any thoughts about this cycle? Trying not to get excited, but I'm hopeful. With my first I got really forgetful and had weird dreams in the 5-10 Doo range. I know every pregnancy is different, but I keep hoping I'll start forgetting things or having really weird dreams.
Any questions? Any one else with a large age gap between kids? DS and a sibling would be over 6 years apart.
Rant/Rave? I just got stung by a bee! It hurts! I haven't been stung since I was a little kid. I was just digging a ditch in the yard, and it stung me in the middle of my back for no apparent reason. We didn't dig up a nest anything like that, so I have no explanation for why it's suddenly decided to sting me. I didn't even see or hear it! It just happened.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky?I like diy projects and construction projects. I am the handy one in our relationship. My husband comes to me to fix things for him.

Any thoughts about this cycle? Ha I feel crazy like there's no way I could really be pregnant but early period-like cramps were my first and most noticeable sign with both girls so I'm not going to be able to hold out very long to test if this keeps up. I usually only get cramps for a day before AF and have a slightly longer than average LP so this would be veryyyy early. But since I'm BF, it can cause a LP defect. Cramps started yesterday evening, calmed down for a while, but are going strong so far today.
Any questions? If you've had multiple kids, could you tell you were pregnant the 2nd or 3rd time (etc.)?
Rant/Rave? I can't decide if I want daycare to open up for my almost 3yo or not. Saving money would be nice but the 1yo is more expensive anyways (they aren't opening her room so we're saving that $$) and the daycare agreed to part time if they do open. DH and I have so many meetings on Tuesday and Thursday mornings it'd be really good for her to get the socialization and not ignored by us. Where we live numbers are going up but it's not insane or anything.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? I'm pretty boring. I have red hair (as do my daughters). I'm logical to a fault and kind of a data junky. I will read books/articles about various things, knowing I disagree with the general premise or don't plan on following that path (anti-vax things, med free birth, BLW - although my second refused purees so we actually did that with her). I get very upset when things don't make sense/people don't act logically. What number are you trying for? 2

Rant/Rave? I have been feeling really crampy for days now! I thought it was a sign of O at first but I don’t think O cramping would last this long. I’m sure my body is adjusting now that I’m off BC but I have never had mid cycle cramps like this.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? I was in honors band in high school and I played the Tuba!@DoubleUp8 Oh no!! Sorry to hear about the bee sting. I have actually never been stung by a bee. So weird it happened out of nowhere.

@Panaceia I'm glad your girls have such a good relationship. I'm hoping if things work out for a second that DS will be a good big brother. He is great with his friends younger siblings.
@jenotontx I hope the cramps let up soon!
@ashaislurking yes, my mom was with me. She checked for a stinger and put a baking soda compress on it. DS has a peanut allergy, so we always have children's Benedryl in the house, and I took a dose for an 11 year old hoping to keep down any swelling. By the time DH got to my parents house last night, it was almost impossible to see and looked very underwhelming for the pain it caused.

@DoubleUp8 good thing you're not allergic to bees! I had a reaction to a bee sting in college and the dr warned me that that a second sting could be an even worse reaction but I've never been stung again.
@kvh22 my first sign with DS was my tender breasts, I could tell immediately that they were sort of engorged and sore. Nowadays I don't know that they would be as sensitive to it since they were put through the ringer with exclusively pumping.
@chindimples04 DS is getting his 2 year molars and its like the teething that never ends! Ugh!

Any thoughts about this cycle? I am in the DO ALL THE THINGS mode. Getting some testing done, doing a Whole30, reading It Starts With The Egg, ordered Proov tests, it just feels so odd to be trying so hard for so long and not get KU. My body has done it before so shouldn't it know how this goes?
Any questions? Not at this time
Rant/Rave? A mom from my first BMB was exact cycle buddies with me last cycle (7th cycle trying and same CD/DPO) and she got her BFP and I did not. I am happy for her, we have been internet friends for years now and I have supported her small business multiple times but I still get a little twinge of sadness every time she posts something about being KU. I'm excited for a long holiday weekend and we are visiting my dad's house with my brothers family so hopefully the grandparents and cousins will entertain my kid for a few days.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? I can lick my elbow which is apparently supposed to be impossible. I have webbed toes and I'm actually really bummed DS doesn't have them. @krash_ It's nice to be part of a community where people are generally accepting of the identities of others, even if they don't understand it. When I first joined TB, I intentionally had my pride flag avatar just as a subtle way of letting people know, and as I've been part of this community for a while I've felt more empowered to talk about my identities openly. I also DEFINITELY feel you with the "my body has done this before so shouldn't it know?" feeling!! That is exactly how I feel! Hopefully you get some answers with your testing and you can find something that works for you! Next cycle I'll be switching a couple things up and I've finally gotten DH on board with a multivitamin regemin the last few cycles. Hopefully neither one of us is here too much longer!

GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? *TW losses mentioned*I have felt I knew the gender in all my pregnancies, so all my babies are named, with 2 middle names. The first name and first middle name equal 13 letters. My wife finds this odd, as my losses occured before her, but she goes with it in naming our babies.
@krash_ we were also team green! Lol'd at being more interested to see the feet.
@Panaceia happy belated birthday to your rainbow!
@jenotontx hi opong the cramping gets better/goes away!
@chindimples04 DS got three molars at once and then the fourth showed up a month later. Now he's seems to be cutting his canines. Wishing you luck!
@ashaislurking happy birthday to your little one!
@DoubleUp8 no implantation bleeding with either pregnancy. From what I've read, it's more hormonal and actually has nothing to do with implantation (since it's just a few cells and "burrowing" is not really an accurate description, it doesn't cause blood). But like @Kenneylynn3 I had bleeding with my second pregnancy around 9 weeks (subchroionic hematoma) but my bleeding was wayyyyy later than implantation.
@kvh22 Fun about the red hair! DH and I are both blonds, as are our brothers, and both of our brothers grow red beards. We have always wondered if we carry the genes for a red head.

Any questions? Has anyone tried red raspberry leaf tea while TTC? I ordered some and it arrived today, so I'm excited to find out if it helps
Rant/Rave? We took DS to the zoo today and, even though things aren't back to "normal," it was so nice to get out of our house and do something different. They're doing timed tickets, which I'm hoping becomes the new normal because it wasn't crowded at all.

@lee^2 I'm 13.5mo postpartum with my second and got my period back right at 12.5 months without adjusting daytime feeding. We did a few nights of nighttime sleep training where we rubbed her back instead of offering milk which I think helped to jumpstart my cycle. After my first, I way overpumped and had a huuuuuge stash so I cut from 2 to 1 to no pumping between 9 and 10 months postpartum. We still BFed when together morning/evening/weekend and days off/vacations (which there were a good amount of including a 12 day at 10.5 months postpartum) but I got my period at 11 months on the dot (she had been sleeping through not eating since about 8 months). I had enough stash to send to daycare through 14 months and then did one milk and one BM cup from 14-16 months. Some people in previous BMBs said they had to completely wean to get their period back (like got it back 2 months after weaning for two pregnancies despite extended BFing into the second year so 15-18 months or so). From what I've read, dropping sessions more dramatically is more likely to kickstart your cycle and anything that gives you longer stretches in a row will do more than cutting out sessions spaced apart. If/when you decide you want to do anything (no pressure, obviously), I would recommend trying to cut out the nighttime sessions b/c developmentally they don't need them and they won't need to be replaced with anything. The kids just learn to drink a bit more before bed and a bit more in the morning (especially the morning one I noticed). See if you can calm YS down without feeding (or have your SO do that - that's what we did most of the time) if you decide to go this route. They still get the comfort and it's a bit gentler than CIO. It honestly only took us 3 nights of rubbing DD2's back (although the first night that was for an hour one time) to get her to be better at not expecting milk and then STTN (well - sometimes it's 5am and I feed her then and she goes back to sleep but I'll do that for the extra ZZZs at that point). Anyways, sorry for the novel. Not sure if @chindimples04 or @Kenneylynn3 have anything else to add but I'm happy to answer any questions about my experience or what I read, granted that all between DD1 and DD2 so I'd have to go back and find some things. I also continued to BF until 20 weeks pregnant when my milk dried up. This time DD2 is home with us, not at daycare, so I'm BFing basically at 7, 10, 1, 4, and 7 although sometimes with an extra morning session around 5am so 5-6x/day but nothing MOTN. Oh and when I got my period at 11mo pp after my first I didn't ovulate until CD 37 but we conceived that cycle just after her first birthday. This time I O'ed at CD19 which I attribute to a more gradual reduction in BFing (so less of a shock to my system WRT hormones) and the fact that It came back 1.5 months later. Okay, now I'm really done. Congratulations if you made it this far

Month/Cycle? Breastfeeding, cycle hasn’t returned yet
WTO/TWW? It’s anyone’s guess at this point lol
Ages of other child(ren)? 13 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? Maaayybe it’s a cycle?? Last week I had a few days of uncomfortable cramps, not really period like, and a lot of CM. A lot. A few days ago all the CM died up and I’m dry as a bone now.
Any questions? Anyone know if cycles of CM and dry are totally normal while breastfeeding before a cycle has returned or could it be a sign that my cycle returned?
Rant/Rave? Less than two months and I will be able to stay at home with DD and not have to deal with BS at my job anymore!!! I have been waiting for this for so long.
GTKY: What's something about you that others might find odd/quirky? I really want glasses and the last time I went to the eye doctor I was pregnant and hormonal lol but I was so disappointed when he said my vision was too good for glasses. I should be thankful my vision is good I know I know. Also, it sounds like you might have ovulated with your CM description. It's not exact and I haven't researched how breastfeeding and not having your cycle yet affects CM. I can go down the google rabbit hole and report back tmrw
@kvh22 your symptoms lining up with your prior pregnancies sounds promising! Fingers crossed!
@chindimples04 I hope the molars come through quickly. DD did her 2 year molars split up 2 and 2 but it was also bad because they were right after each other and it just took forever. Molars are the worst.
@Panaceia welcome! I hope your stay is short!
@jenotontx that’s so cool that you played the tuba! Also I totally agree with your comment with the BLW extremists. They almost make me never want to do it just to defy them haha
@krash_ I am totally relating to your whole post. I’m also angry at my body for being able to do this before (I got pregnant on the 6th cycle so not immediate but not long!) and now apparently turning on me. I also have a close friend whose kid is almost the same age as DD and she is pregnant and it is SO hard. So so hard. And I also exclusively pumped so we are basically the same person 😉.
@Kenneylynn3 The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility taught me to temp (along with the Fertility Friend app). The book is a little dated but really easy to follow. Feel free to ask any temping questions that you have, everyone loves to help!
@mamasloth I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️. I was going to say the same as kvh22, the RRL tea is for pre-O! I’ve never tried it but have read about it on here. Also I’m wondering if you live by me since our zoo is referring to the tickets as “timed tickets” too, although I guess it’s not that original and a lot of zoos are probably handling that way
@lee^2 I think if you had fertile CM, that’s a good sign you ovulated. But I don’t really know. I exclusively pumped and got my period back 4 months post partum😢 even though I pumped for a year. Those first 4 months are a little fuzzy so I can’t remember if I had CM or not!
edit because that all posted as 1 paragraph. Yikes.
