    Digital teaching is my twatwaffle. If the kids aren’t doing the work and showing up to Google Meets, why should I?? Come onnnn, June 17th!

    Bless your heart! Our last day teaching was May 27 - and it was welcomed for sure! This has definitely taught me that I am not made for virtual teaching!

    I FEEL YOU. We just finished the school year. Most of my kids were great, but I felt like I dragged a few of them through the last month by their ears.

    @szwill86 and @lanabanafofana I'm happy there are so many teachers here! What grades do you teach? I for one am grateful to be doing 1st tri nausea during the summer vacation.

    My brain regarding this pregnancy is the twatwaffle this week 100%. Hopefully someone/something else can come in and take the crown.

    @adorebel I’m a speech pathologist for a K-5 elementary school. I agree about 1st tri in the summer!

    @adorebel I just finished my 11th year teaching Kindergarten. Luckily we didn't have to do Google Meet or Zoom or anything like that. I recorded lesson videos and sent them everyday (not that many watched them 🙄). My biggest issue was calling parents every week - not my favorite!

    I love that we so many teachers on here!

    @szwill86 & @lanabanafofana - Cheers to you! My SIL is a 5th grade teacher and my best friend is an Occupational Therapist at a Special Needs school, so I've heard all about how "awesome" (or NOT) Google/Zoom meetings/sessions are, and what a pain it is to contact of parents constantly, many of who are working and just really don't have time for yet another phone call.

    I teach 10th-12th graders, so I'm in less contact with the parents because the kids are more responsible for their own work, but Zoom was still a real drag compared to being in the classroom with them.

    @adorebel I can only imagine! I heard horror stories from my teacher friends about their Zoom meetings with teenagers 😳
