Upcoming Appointments: AS & 20 week appointment on July 8.
Rant/Rave: I had my first ultrasound when I was 12 weeks 5 days. We didn’t see our midwife for an appointment after, so she messaged us with the results. She said there was a small spot of blood around the placenta that we would need to keep an eye on. Fast forward to my 15 week appointment with her on the phone, she asked if I had any concerns at all. I said just the small spot of blood on the ultrasound, otherwise no. She seemed confused so she reviewed the ultrasound/message she had sent. She apologized and said she must have read the results from the ultrasound tech wrong because there wasn’t any blood and everything looked completely normal 😬 I was a little annoyed because I’ve been pretty worried about that for weeks, but also relieved that everything was normal.
GTKY: What is your favorite book? Love Does by Bob Goff 🎈
Rant/Rave: I can't wait until I can feel the baby move. I thought I felt something while laying on my back the other day but, I am not 100% sure. I just feel so much better once I hit that stage in the game.
GTKY: What is your favorite book? Oh boy! That is a tough one. I have so many that I read over and over again..The Catcher in the Rye, Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, Pride and Prejudice, Anything by Penny Reid...I could go on and on.
@lalarose22 I am glad everything is normal but, I definitely would be super irritated. Pregnancy is hard enough and then to add worrying for no reason just sucks!
@windywoman exactly! I’ve known her for a while and she actually delivered my youngest sister, so if I didn’t know/love/trust her already, I’d be a lot more irritated 😬
Rant/Rave: I finally posted my announcement online today!! Most of my family new and some friends, but it was nice getting to share with everyone 😊
GTKY: What is your favorite book? This is a tough one! I’ve reread the Host by Stephanie Meyer a few times. I really loved Asperger’s Children last year.
@1sttimemomma98 I am in week 1 but had to reply when I saw you mention the Host. I loved that book when I was younger! I'll have to go back and read it
Rant/Rave: I'm with you about the movement @windywoman I have felt things here and there but it's very sporadic and plays mind games with me. Ready for the consistent kicks and jabs.
GTKY: What is your favorite book? That's like asking me to pick a favorite child...if I had to say right now, I would name "The Giver" by Lois Lowry.... but that could change momentarily!
Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday with my OB and Thursday with my chiropractor.
Rant/Rave: rave- I finally found baby’s heartbeat with my Doppler! He was way over on my left side hiding out. Rant- my constantly messy house. I try to do a little bit of cleaning each day but it’s not enough with all of us home all the time.
GTKY: What is your favorite book? Emma and Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights, all the Harry Potter books and Mists of Avalon.
Baby is the size of: avocado or my personal favorite: the music box from Anastasia (this movie was one of my favorites as a kid)
Upcoming Appointments: tomorrow!
Rant/Rave: I get to work from home this afternoon which means I won't have to wear real pants all day!!!
GTKY: What is your favorite book? This question is SO difficult to answer! Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion by Jane Austen, Harry Potter (especially the 3rd), Agatha Christie (Hercule Poirot mysteries), seriously I could keep going but I'll stop now!
@crizz13 The Giver! I loved that book when we read it in school!
@surlyjaneausten I totally googled the mists of Avalon because I had never heard of it. It looks super interesting!
Rant/Rave: The headaches! They just won't go away! But the good news is I THINK i felt a little something this morning. Felt, as people say, a little like butterflies mixed with the "drop" feeling you get on rollercoasters. It's really hard to tell, but it made me happy!
GTKY: What is your favorite book? Tough one! I think the book I've reread the most times is Memoirs of a Geisha @crizz13 I forgot I had it on my shelf! Such a great book. Needs a reread soon!
