  • How far along are you? 21 weeks tomorrow

    Due date? Oct 20

Upcoming appointments? June 30 for 24 week appt

Rant/rave? We were finally able to see my family yesterday. 💕 It was so needed! They were able to see our nursery and my grandpa tried to fix the drawer of our baby dresser but he could not figure out the problem! Oh well. My mom, grandma and grandpa were all like “oh my gosh you DEFINITELY look pregnant now!” 😂 We took them on a drive to the hospital in case they are able to actually visit when baby is born (they live in a different town) and it was a good chance for us to time how long it takes to get there.

    Questions? I don’t think so!

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick? The ability to snap and be somewhere else instantly! Or be a wizard and Disapparate which is the same thing 😂
  • How far along are you? 21+1 today

    Due date? Oct. 18th

Upcoming appointments? This Wednesday (the 10th) for routine OB checkup.

Rant/rave? Rant - This RLP is killing me. I've increased my water intake, done stretches, take tylenol to help prevent it, wear belly support bands, use a heating pad, and it still flares up to the point that I'm doubled over with tears in my eyes. Thankfully, it only lasts about 10-15 minutes, but it feels like my right side is ripping away from my body. I'm going to ask my OB on Wednesday if it's safe to use Thermacare heat patches on that area for when I go back to work next week, because I can't be sitting at my desk with a heating pad all day once things are back to ops normal.
Rave - MH and I went on a nice, long walk at a new (to us) park yesterday. Our original goal was 3 miles since we typically do 2.5 miles around our neighborhood a few times a week, so upping it to 3 miles wasn't that much of an increase. Well, we sort of got lost on the trail and wound up doing just over 4.5 miles. It was good to see that both of us could handle that distance, and it was nice to have time together out in nature. I think we're both paying for it today, though, in the form of lower back pain for him (since he carries weight in his mid-section) and the RLP I mentioned before. Oh, and I also almost peed myself by the end of our nature walk, but thankfully we were parked right near the bathrooms so I just had to hustle to get there, lol.

    Questions? I don't think so.

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick? Telekinesis. I've actually had recurrent dreams where I've moved objects with my mind, and am always disappointed when I wake up and I can't do it.

  • @mamahosch that's awesome news! I'm so glad you guys got to see each other and have such a nice day!

    How far along are you?

    21 weeks yesterday!

    Due date?
    10/18

    Upcoming appointments?
    Tomorrow for my A/S 🙌

    Rant/rave?
I got a big box of Georgia peaches mailed to me and peeled/sliced/juiced them last night so I'm ready to make a cobbler today!
Rant I also recently decreased my vitamin D intake with being outdoors more and I feel like utter trash.

    Questions?
    I don't think so

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick?
Probably teleportation, I could travel the world and blip into people's lives when they needed a hug.

@mamahosch so glad you got to see your family! I'm going to see mine in two weeks for the first time since January, and I'm so excited.

@babyodo hope the RLP improves! That sounds awful.

How far along are you? 20+5

    Due date? 10/21

Upcoming appointments? Not until the end of July now that I had my AS today. Skipping 24 week. Might change practices before then though, but going to wait to see if I can get NIPT covered/taken care of first.

Rant/rave? Rave-AS went mostly great and it was so nice to see baby again!
Rant-DD is teething something fierce and was a total nightmare yesterday.

    Questions? Nah.

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick? I know this is a popular one but teleportation as long as I could bring people/luggage along. My commute is annoying, and I also miss seeing my family regularly, which could be easily solved with this superpower!
ETA--a close second would be they ability to not need to sleep, especially with an infant.

How far along are you? 21 weeks 3 days

    Due date? 10/16

Upcoming appointments? I have the glucose tolerance test on July 2nd which is the same day as my next OB appointment.  I failed by one point the last time, so I am definitely not looking forward to it because I am almost expecting to have to do the 3 hour test again.  Glucola is gross.  I never eat or drink anything that sweet.

    Rant/rave?
Rant:  My work hours just seem to keep increasing.  I'm tired.
Rave:  Overall, I feel like this pregnancy is easier than my first pregnancy.

Questions?  Is anybody else getting nosebleeds?  I have been getting nosebleeds every single day of this pregnancy.  They are really minor right now.  There is usually just a few drops of blood, but I am always waiting for them to get worse.

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick?  I would choose the power to heal people.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @AB518 Not this pregnancy, but my very 1st pregnancy I got nosebleeds consistently on a daily basis from 6 weeks until I lost the pregnancy late 1st trimester. For me it was actually a reassuring sign that I was still pregnant. After I miscarried they stopped immediately. I wouldn't worry about them as long as this just a few drops like you're talking about

    Upcoming appointments? See Rant

Rant/rave? Rave: My OBGYN office finally made masks mandatory!
Rant: I ranted about this specialist I have to see for my AS, and a scheduling snafu that really pissed me off, two weeks ago in May Randoms. My appointment was today, and hubby and I were about 20 minutes into an hour+ drive, and I realized I forgot my insurance card. I called the specialist to see if I needed to bring it, only to find out that they put me down for Wednesday. They definitely said Monday when I made the appointment. Grr. (Amount of ice cream consumed upon returning home: above average)

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick? The ability to travel instantly between any two points. Seems to be a popular one!
  • @carrotsandpeas3 @kalesix3 thanks ladies!! It was so great to see them! :)

@AB518 yes, I’ve had one legit bloody nose and then some mornings when I wake up I’m congested and it’s a bit bloody in the Kleenex (gross, sorry lol). It’s definitely a pregnancy symptom!
  • @amapa20 at least you didn't get all the way there just to find that out!

    Rant/rave? Nothing surprisingly lol

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick? To be able to heal people
  • @babyodo so sorry about the rlp. That sounds awful. I deal with some if I’m moving too fast or too long.

@carrotsandpeas3 did you find out if the NIPT is covered? I hope it is.

@AB518 I wouldn’t say I have nose bleeds but I know my nose is extra dry so I’ll have bloody mucus whenever my allergies are high. I know with DD I had two full nose bleeds in the summer and the OB thought it was normal.

@amapa Hope your appt goes well today! Keep
us posted. I can’t believe it took your OB’s office this long for masks. I think only my dating scan appt was no mask policy. From them on masks all the time.

    Upcoming appointments? Next week

Rant/rave? Camping went great. Well as great as can be during pregnancy. I kept having to make the trek to the bathrooms. It was so hot but as soon as that sun went down it felt great.

Rant: I’ve been super lightheaded for a few days now. Sometimes it’s just when I get up too fast other times it’s all the time even when I’m sitting down. OB feels like it’s normal but will check on it when I go in next week.

    Questions? None

GTKY: You get one super-power. What do you pick?

traveling as well! It would save a ton of time.
  • @babycakesday So glad to hear your camping trip went well! I've been wondering about it :-)
I've been having the lightheadedness lately too.
  • @babycakesday they said they forwarded the request to their insurance preauth people but didn't give me any idea of whether they thought it would be approved or not. If I don't hear back from them by Friday, I will probably call them back.
Glad to hear your camping trip went well! And I have trouble with lightheadedness while pregnant too. It was pretty bad this morning, and I had it most of 2nd and 3rd tri with my daughter. My blood pressure is always mildly low, but I run low to begin with, so I just deal. It's super annoying though!
