I'll start: We have our own pool and I rarely wear a bathing suit - sun for the fetal occupant!
Current pregnancy - First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.
My almost 4 year old woke up in the middle of the night last night and I bribed her back to bed by telling her we could make cookies this afternoon. Feeling slightly guilty that I didn't let her come sleep with us because I know she'll be a teenager the next time I blink, but she is such a tornado in her sleep.
My email has been down this morning, so I decided to take a break and drive 25 minutes to the nearest Duck Donuts since it's National Donut Day. #noregrets
@profmcgonagall it looks like I'm going to get out of work early today and MH has the day off, so I'm going to see if he wants to go for ice cream before picking up DD from daycare. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm not usually a big sandwich person, especially not cold cuts, but I have been thinking about a roast beef and avocado sandwich from a local sub shop for the past few days. I think I will be breaking that rule this weekend. And also getting a big bag of Cheetos to go with it.
ETA I told DH about my craving and he went right out and got it for me for lunch. 💗💗💗 It was everything I hoped it would be!
@mamahosch the boy person is supposed to be bringing me back Sonic, including a banana fudge milkshake, on his way back home from errands

I just got some ice cream as well. Definitely a steady craving this pregnancy!
My confession is pretty innocent, I found $50 whole cleaning out my closet and just immediately spent them without even telling H since it's my birthday tomorrow!
@morethanamama That is 100% acceptable. And happy birthday!!
My fffc a day late is I let DS give our dog three treats this morning instead of one because they were both so excited about it. My excuse is that DH bought the smaller ones this time so it was only like 1.5 of his regular ones. 🤷🏻♀️
I am totally done trying to stick to my left side when I sleep, and it helps with hip pain sooo much to just allow myself to flop around freely instead of worrying about it.
I too have been eating ice cream daily (had hubby get me peanut butter chocolate last time he went to the grocery store, mmm) and I never wear a swimsuit in my own pool!
@amapa20 don't stress the left side thing, the data really isn't there to support it. Check out Expecting Better by Emily Oster.

I'm a right sider when it comes to sleep but the hip pain is getting worse no matter what I do. Sometimes I lay on my back for a bit just to stretch every muscle and then turn to my side once it's time to sleep. Starting tonight I'm going to try to keep a pillow between my legs and see if it helps.
My FFFC is that I have been working in the garden the last few days, and I haven’t been wearing gloves. I don’t like wearing them, so it’s hard to get in the habit.
I also wonder how our species has made it this far with all these “rules”. My mom even sarcastically says she wonders how my brother and I made it because there weren’t all these rules when she was pregnant.
@animalandplantrescuer I think I only wore gloves once when gardening this summer but my hands got way too hot! I just wash my hands really well after weeding the garden now 🤷🏼♀️
@animalandplantrescuer I’ve wondered the same thing! My thesis was actually about how the practice of midwifery changed in the 1700’s and honestly some of the stuff I read and the images I found made me wonder just how any babies and mothers survived. I try to remind myself about that when I get too worried about all the rules or worrying about the length of time between OB visits

I guess that's related to my FFFC. I probably push the 200mg caffeine "limit" daily.

ETA: holy crap everyone must be pregnant craving ice cream, the line for the drive through is onto the street! 😂
