GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on?

Rant/Rave: We spent the weekend at the beach for our anniversary! We had an amazing time, but while we were there, we got in a car accident. We had stopped to let a family cross the street and the car behind us flew up and hit us full speed. 😩 I sobbed, but baby boy checks out fine, thank The Lord. Very scary though!

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? Our Disney vacation in 2014! I ran my first long distance race, the Tower of Terror 10 miler. It was amazing! Just me, DH and DS went and it was our first family of three trip. We had sooooooo much fun! 🥰💜

@1MommyRunner I was in a wreck around 24 weeks pregnant with my oldest...it was SO scary!! So glad you guys are ok!

Rant/Rave: My center is opening back up on the 15th...with a whole long list of protocols to follow. I am not excited about going back and essentially doubling my work load (but not doubling my pay obviously). I do look forward to getting some routine and structure back in mine and the kids lives and for the kids to get to socialize somewhat. 

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? My whole family (brothers and their families, parents, husband and kids) all stayed together in a condo at the beach and it was so much fun! I’d love to do it again, and also with DH’s family (although there would be drama from that side...him and his brothers don’t always get along and there is lots of drama with one of the other SILs). Still it would be fun to get all the cousins on that side together at the beach.

@kitkatz1990 thank you! I am so sorry that happened to you too. Being pregnant takes the scary to a new level for sure! Also...I know how vacation family drama is! We vacation with DH’s family almost every year and he has 5 brothers. Two of my SIL’s bring the drama. Our vacation from 8 years ago caused one set to pretty much shun the family. 😩 Family trips can be super fun but super wild! 😂

Upcoming Appointments: Anatomy scan the 15th! And awaiting additional genetic testing results... Hopefully we get results the 15th.

Rant/Rave: In the past 2 weeks my work hours have been cut (I work at a skilled nursing facility) and I'm getting sick of staying home! Oh another rant...pants don't fit 😬 I can only wear sweats so long! I just want to go shopping/try on something comfortable!

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? Husband and I hiked around Phoenix then drove and hiked in Sedona then Flagstaff. We ended up driving and hiking around around the Grand Canyon! We drove to a watchtower on the south rim and holy shit that was a scary drive!

Rant/Rave: Been a tough go of things here in Minneapolis. I've pretty much been MIA on here for the last week or so just because I'm so overwhelmed with everything (riots, growing Covid numbers in the state) that I barely have the energy to log on to anything. But on the plus side I've been cleaning the house like mad. I think having something solid and in my control like the state of the house has been a good outlet so far. DS has also been going through a leap and been extra grumpy. But I dressed him up like a train conductor in these adorable striped overalls that hopefully his cuteness will override his brattiness!

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? : Probably two tie for this: one was a family trip with my mom and sister to Italy. And the second was the surprise honeymoon my husband planned to Quebec City. A large bonus of that one was that I had to do zero planning for it. I keep telling him that that was the best gift I could ever get and if he ever wanted to repeat it, it'd be fine by me!!

Upcoming Appointments: I had one yesterday. Next is July 2nd with an Anatomy scan

Rant/Rave: I waited an hour again in my car to get into my appointment that lasted about 10 minutes. I only was able to see a nurse, because the OB was behind due to a baby delivery. I’m not sure why another OB didn’t see me as it is a group of them. They did a Doppler check and everything seemed fine, but I didn’t get to ask all my questions and voice my concerns. I also was notified that I owe $350. I just paid $450 from my payment plan two weeks ago. Apparently, there are separate charges from the payment plan, and each US I have is not under the payment plan. With DD I had just one plan that I paid monthly.. the plans are about the same price... but it looks like this pregnancy will cost a lot more because they are charging extra each time I go in. And I highly doubt they are going to reduce my bill for only seeing a nurse and not having a OB visit. Plus after trying to get details of the charges, some of them they had already duplicated and added to my payment plan! WTF are they doing. I feel like I’m getting ripped off.
Rave- I get to meet my new niece this weekend! 

Question: I’ve heard from a friend that delivered her son at my hospital that she had
to take him elsewhere to get him circumcised. Have y’all heard of hospitals not doing them? 

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? My DH and I went with a group of friends to the Dominic Republic for a Texas Music Festival. We had a blast and were wild! We talked one of our Chauffeurs into taking us out of the resort at night to go to a club. We piled into an SUV and went to where a lot of the resort workers lived to pick up his girlfriend and another vehicle. It was super sketch and we could tell we were not supposed to be in that area; our husbands told us get ready to run back to the resort if need be. We left off to the club, a few times on the way the suv would die and the guy has to pretty much Hotwire it to start again. The club turned out to be a boom boom room. It had guys outside with machine guns and mattresses in the back rooms. The front bar area had a VI P area we payed $50 to be in and had so much fun. We also had trouble being allowed back into the resort. Even with how sketchy the whole ordeal was it was so much fun. However now with a baby, and another baby on the way my wild times are behind and I know we won’t ever be that crazy again!

Upcoming Appointments: Just had a PT appointment to talk about Pelvic Floor and Deep Core engagement; she scheduled a follow up for next Thursday to be sure I'm doing everything right. (Being a gym rat, I wanna be sure I keep up on this while my body is getting lax and going through changes). Anatomy Scan on 6/24

Rant/Rave: Rant: I just want to be able to test things out in person. I am so indecisive with online shopping that I am getting no where on my registry
Rave: My best friend sent me the sweetest  care  package! She bought me an amazing and cute diaper back pack filled with MomFrida gear, Erbavita belly cream and stretch mark oil, two board books, and a couple cute wash clothes. It seriously made my week! AND now I don't have to pick out a diaper bag lol

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on?: I love ALL vacations. It's hard to not mention my last two summers in Germany. DH is half German and his grandparents live on a farm in southern Germany. We spend 4-6 weeks with them relaxing on the farm, going to the Bodensee, exploring the area, and going across the lake to Switzerland. We also spend a week in Italy since my FIL currently lives there! It's the best time. But the BEST vacation was back in the summer of 2012 when DH (then just friends) flew me to New Zealand for 6 weeks! He asked me to be his girlfriend the day I arrived and we spent the next 6 weeks traveling all over New Zealand - we stayed in hostels the entire time and since it was winter there rarely were they busy or full. 

@1MommyRunner so sorry about the accident but really happy to hear you and your family are okay!
@mwagensomer I've tried twice to see the grand canyon and it's been a miss both times! Still on the bucket list.
@auburnvelvet86 I'm so sorry you're right in the center of everything! That can be very overwhelming but I am glad you've found an outlet. I just participated in a PEACEFUL protest this last weekend. Thankfully it didn't turn into a riot, but I really was impressed by the turn out and the support. 
@potofgolden your DR vacation sounds WILD! I went to Puerto Rico with my husband and some friends last May and my husband wanted to do something similar but I refused! I'm impressed by your ballsy-ness lol

@potofgolden Yes, we DS the hosptial we were at didn't do circumcisions. I think was because they are considered less necessary? I don't know, but I found it inconvenient having to come back in a different place a few days later and sit around while they did it then. DS handled it like a champ, so it was more just the inconvenience of it all for me that I found frustrating.

Rant/Rave: A friend I met through infertility was pregnant with twins and due a month after me... Yesterday at her 12 week ultrasound there was no heartbeat. We were both so excited to be going through this together... 💔  

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? Last December my husband and I went to Antarctica and it was incredible. We literally went to an island with over 100,000 penguins and just sat and watched them for an hour... Amazing!! 🐧

For Antarctica I LOVE penguins and have wanted to go there for ages, but it's so expensive I never thought it would happen. Well last fall about a week after miscarrying I got an email with a 50% off sale from a company I had been following for years... We had some savings and said fuck it... Let's go!! Sooooooo worth it!

Rant/Rave: Last week I was super emotional. I got ridiculously grumpy with DH over something so minor. He was so patient and after I chilled out we laughed about it. I’m getting excited to see him with our baby. 🥰

GTKY: What is the best vacation you've ever been on? If I have to choose one, I choose the most recent. Went with DH to an active volcano in Mexico. We stayed in a cabin partway up a neighboring mountain. We hiked and relaxed for a long weekend. The views were fantastic!

@mia80 I’m glad you rewarded yourself with some positivity after your mc. After I had my MC I splurged on a new suv with the works. I wonder if it’s a thing.
