Ages (you and SO): How many months have you been TTC?: What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.):
I'm coming back to TTGP after almost 2 years. MH is 33 and I'm 29. We've been TTC again since November 2019 (7 months). From Nov through Jan we tried to relax and just pray it would happen naturally *TW* (2 years ago we ultimately needed help and were successful with our first IUI). In Feb 2020 we did an IUI cycle unsuccessfully. We then took a few months off of treatment due to COVID, and just kept trying naturally. I'm currently on another IUI cycle in the TWW period, but I've already had 2 neg at home tests. My currently cycle has included Clomid for cd 5-10, trigger shot (ovidrel) on cd 13, IUI on cd15, neg tests on cd 27 and 28. Today is cd 29. My blood test at my specialists office is Monday. My husband and I live outside of San Antonio, TX with our 2 dogs, 1 cat, and our son. *TW* Our son we conceived via IUI after 15 months of trying and testing. He was born with a CPAM, which is a lung mass. He's done very well with it for 13 months and this month he will be having a CT scan to see if surgery is necessary now. Otherwise he is a very happy healthy boy. My husband and I both work for the same tech firm and we've both been working from home full-time since the end of February. I'm trying to get back in crocheting and I'm going to try my hand at crocheting a jute basket. Wish me luck!
Welcome @thegirlwhowaited_! Are you a Dr Who fan? I'm guessing from your picture and your name. David Tennant was my favorite Dr but Matt Smith was a close second
Ages: me - 36; SO - 35 How many months have you been TTC?: 5 months What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: BBT, checking CM, OPKs, trying seed cycling this month and also taking myo-inositol since I have PCOS. Yesterday SO got S/A done since he previously had below-average results (with really low motility) on an at-home test kit (Dadi). I have a CD12 ultrasound on Mon to confirm ovulation since there's evidence I might be having anovulatory cycles. Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids (yet) and no pets (would love to but not allowed in our current rental). We are both Canadian but currently live/work in the SF Bay area. We're both in tech and have been working from home since mid-March. As for hobbies, I love to be active so I have been doing yoga at home and getting outside for daily walks around the neighborhood. The extra at-home time has also given me the opportunity to read more. I've ready more books in the last 2 months than in the past 2 years!
@_orchid_ yes! My husband got me into Dr Who though I will admit I haven’t seen past the first episode of the new Dr because I couldn’t get into it. Tennant is my favorite doctor, too. At the time I created my profile we were just finishing with Matt Smith’s episodes and I love sunflowers. I never felt the need to change it
Ages (you and SO): 33, hubs 36 How many months have you been TTC?: 1 unsuccessful month What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: period tracking on app Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I work night shift as a nurse. We have a herd of animal (horses, dogs, cats). We have spent so long trying not to get pregnant that now trying is a weird concept. My biggest fear is that I have been on different forms of birth control for so long (10 years) that it may take us a while to get pregnant. I have heard about the ovulation tests at home but I think doing that would make me extremely anxious. I look forward to browsing the threads and asking questions.
Welcome @canchasinnurse! I can confirm that ovulation testing _can_ be overwhelming especially at first since I found there is a lot of contradictory instructions out there: once a day / more than once a day; in the morning, in the late afternoon/evening; after a 3-hour urine hold, after a 4-5-hour urine hold; use the semi-quantitative ones, use the qualitative ones. After probably 2-3 months of reading these divergent instructions and figuring out what works fo me and my routine, it's become a part of my routine.
Looking back, I think the easiest first step into getting more familiar with your fertility signs is getting up close and personal with your cervical mucus. It's always there and you just need to learn to recognize the "fertile" kind.

(Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): This will be our first, but we have three fur children (2 dogs and a cat). I work in women’s health so it will be interesting to experience the other side. I’m excited to knit things for my little after years of making them for others.
Ages (you and SO): I’m 37 my husband is 41. I finally decided to jump in after lurking for a while.
How many months have you been TTC?: Since November 2019 so 7 months?
*TW* We found out we were pregnant in February 2020 and we had a miscarriage at the end of March 2020 *end TW*
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: ovulation prediction kit, sex during high/peak fertility.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): we have a 4 1/2yr old son, I was in the D15 birth month board, we have two dogs and a cat, I’m a nurse and my husband is an engineer.
We’ve been trying for a little over a year now. We knew I had PCOS so I’ve had a few hurtles to jump. Doctor put me on Metformin 10 months ago to help with it. We have gone through all the fertility testing. Even found polyps in my uterus that were removed 4 months ago. We were set to start Clomid next cycle which was late March but Covid put that on hold. Now it’s been 60 days since my last cycle but all test are negative so they scheduled me an appointment in July. We don’t have any children of our own and our fur baby of 12 years died in March so it’s just the two of us.
We’ve been married 13 years this fall. Together we work on cars and play video games. I’m also an avid reader, love to bake and garden, and am constantly coming up with more crafts to learn and do, most recently crochet. Due to being a boss at work I don’t get much free time but we make the most of the time we do have. Sorry for the long intro. I look forward to getting to know you all.
