Stash stink and baby #2 on the way!

The problem: STINK. My diapers stink from the time they come out of the dryer. No issues with absorbency, no rashes, never had yeast.

Diapers: Flats and covers, pockets with both charcoal and microfiber inserts, flannel wipes.

Detergent: original Tide powder

Wash routine: 1x per week. prewash cold with 1/2 scoop, hot wash full scoop.

Water: Well water, treated with a whole house water softening system. The water is not hard.

Should I strip? Should I just start with a bleach? DD is 2 and only wears a diaper and night. Do I not have enough bulk in the wash?...before potty training I never had a stink problem.

Baby #2 is due in August so I have some time to solve this.

I know it’s been a while since you posted. I’d start with stripping and then bleaching all the diapers and trying a new wash routine. I did 2 washes. First was with only diapers and second wash was billed with baby clothes. Fluff love university has a lot of info on proper washing. I never had trouble with their recommended wash routine.
