4 month stomach pain?!

I always read that baby gas and stomach problems improve around the 3 month mark, but my son is turning 4 months tomorrow and things are getting worse the past couple of weeks. Lots of crying, screaming, arching and kicking his legs about 20-30 minutes after he eats, lasting for about an hour. He's bottle-fed with breast milk, but I've given him formula in the past with no problems so I'm pretty sure it's not a dairy sensitivity. He poops regularly and doesn't have any alarming symptoms that would send me to the ER with him. Just extreme fussiness. It's miserable for all of us. We see the doctor tomorrow for his 4 month checkup, and I'm praying that he'll give me something for him because seeing him in pain kills me. Anyone else experience an increase in stomach issues at this age and what have you done for it?

Update: doctor thinks it's reflux and I'm going to be trying Prilosec for it. Fingers crossed.
