Team Green/Pink/Blue: Team can’t wait to find out!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a pearl from Audrey Hepburn’s necklace in Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Upcoming appointments: Still waiting for my initial appointment at 8 weeks (5/21)
How are you feeling?: Nauseous, exhausted, irritable. Anxious to get my first scan for reassurance that all is well.
Rants/Raves: I’m too tired to think of one.
Questions: None this week.
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? Carnegie’s Maid, a fictional story about a Lady’s Maid working in the Carnegie household during the Civil War era. I thought it was great!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: ladybug
Upcoming appointments: 5/21 is my first appointment with ultrasound
How are you feeling?: Tired and cold
Rants/Raves: DH took DS fishing this morning so I could have some alone time on Mother’s Day - it was sorely needed.
Questions: n/a
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? I probably won’t read any pregnancy-related books this time around. I finished You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogel recently and really enjoyed it. It’s a romantic comedy.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 12/28, 6 weeks, 6 days
FTM/STM/STM+: STM+
Team Green/Pink/Blue: can't wait to know!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: cuff link? Lol who knows if that's right

How are you feeling?: Cold, tired, nauseous, dizzy
Rants/Raves: can't think lol
Questions: none
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? I actually just read my first book for fun last week lol I've never been a reader! It was called The Accident. It was amazing
Not really a rant or rave more of a statement. I know every pregnancy is different but this pregnancy I have been having more nausea then I did with my first. It is so strange when I have been trying to compare them so far. I had food aversions with him, I haven’t had that quite as much with this one.
Questions:
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? oh goodness who knows, i can tell you the last book I read which was: Your are a f*cking awesome mom. I need to make more time for reading, I used to love doing it.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 12/29, so 6 weeks and 6 days
FTM/STM/STM+: FTM, but second pregnancy
Team Green/Pink/Blue: We'll find out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry? going off of the 7 week fruit since I'm almost there
Upcoming appointments: May 22nd
How are you feeling?: Tired, queasy, dizzy, hungry
Rants/Raves: Rave: I think we'll be able to get our Ring doorbell to work (came with the house, so had to wait for the previous owner to release the account)
Rant: ordered flowers for my mom for Mother's Day, and just realized I set it for the wrong date so they'll be a week late. Beyond just generally feeling badly about it, she takes holidays *SUPER* seriously, so now I'm worried she's mad at me for "forgetting her" yesterday. Yes, I called and we talked for an hour, but that's not enough. For context, a year or two ago I sent her flowers, which she loved, but was upset because I didn't send a separate card (apparently the note in the flowers didn't count). It drives me nuts, but there's never any in-between or consideration that it might be late or I'm overwhelmed and forgot what day of the week it was. It's either perfect or she's crying because I intentionally blew her off/don't love her/don't care/am generally a terrible daughter.
Questions: No pregnancy-related ones. Trying to debate how to enclose our laundry/utility room while still allowing the cat access for her litter box
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? Haven't actually read any pregnancy books this time around. I'm currently reading "Swingtime" by Zadie Smith, which I'm liking so far. Before that was some book about sisters that I evidently didn't like very much, and then "Casual Vacancy" by JK Rowling (good in the end, though took me 3/4 of the book to get into it, it's a lot of small-town gossip and squabbling). Looking forward to starting "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari next.
@bartonolivia. Lurking from a different week, but wondering what you are eating for your one meal a day. I find that after lunch, I really start to feel sick. So I am trying to front load my meals for the beginning of the day. Hopefully you start to feel better soon. For your past pregnancies, did you start feeling better around 12 weeks?
blah. I feel like crap for a couple hours after I eat most days. I’ve been trying to power through the breakfast and lunch grossness most days and then give in after dinner. My dizziness has finally started to ease and I can roll over in bed without feeling like I’m spinning all over the place.

GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read?
I am currently reading a trilogy called The Tournament. It’s been interesting but it gives me weird dreams.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Raspberry
Upcoming appointments: This Thurs I am getting my 8 week sonogram at my fertility clinic, and then hoping to transfer to an OB!
How are you feeling?: honestly kind of crappy. Feeling nauseated a lot of the time, food doesnt sound good to me, yet I am still hungry. I feel sick after eating too. Breakfast was my most successful meal today...had 1 egg and a bunch of saltines. Ate a chicken sandwich for lunch but I was a mess after.
Rants/Raves: Preggie Pops are pretty good!
Questions: When are people planning on telling their bosses? With my daughter I think I waited the full 12 weeks, but I feel a lot sicker this time.
GTKY: What was the last non-pregnancy/parenting book you read? I am currently reading The Water Dancer by TaNehisi Coates
