Re: Fit Friday 05/08
2. How did you do this past week? I picked up a hybrid calendar this week of (2) Beachbody programs, LIIFT4 and Barre Blend and it had me working out for almost an hour and then with the MommaStrong Daily 15's I was working out for 1.5 hours. I was tired for (2) straight days after doing it for only (2) days, so I realized I needed to re-evaluate.
3. What are you planning on doing this coming week to set yourself up for success? I switched programs and I am going forward with Morning Meltdown 100, workouts are 30 minutes or less and I love the music that they are set to. I also ordered a Sunny spin bike and downloaded the Peloton app, so I did the Peloton "hack" lol. I am so excited and the bike will be delivered tomorrow. I am going to alternate spin classes with the MM100 workouts. I will continue with the MommaStrong Daily 15's as well as we are in a May Challenge!
GTKY: Do you follow any social media fitness/health accounts? If so, who inspires you? I do, I follow a lot of fitness trainers and people that have had super success getting themselves in shape pre and post baby. Honesty is what motivates/inspires me. Please don't tell me that everything is peachy keen and super easy because this is real life and it's not. Being real is 100%.
Warding off all the sweets I want to consume. I miss my fruit cravings! Also, DH and I picked up insanity again since we have no clue when gyms around us will open back up. I’m not pushing as hard as I did prepregnancy, but they’re definitely still a challenge.
2. How did you do this past week?
Not too shabby. Worked out 6/7 days following the program plus added in a couple of prenatal yoga sessions from DownDog (app that if y’all don’t have, I highly recommend! So great especially if you aren’t a yogi.) Food was okay - definitely gave into some sweets and ordered Chinese food this week. Sorry, not sorry!
3. What are you planning on doing this coming week to set yourself up for success?
Continuing to keep fresh fruit in the house to eat that instead of sweets when I want those. Stocking up on frozen fruits for smoothie bowls in sub of ice cream. Keeping the schedule for insanity.
GTKY: Do you follow any social media fitness/health accounts? If so, who inspires you? Not as many as I used to because I think it was discouraging me more than anything. I follow @katyhearn who is now less fitness based and more lifestyle but she is baby momma GOALS. I also follow @sugarysixpack who is motivating but also she kind of gives me the sunshine and rainbows feeling - always so positive.

2. How did you do this past week? Good, I worked out 3 times + prenatal yoga + walked every day. I ate a good amount of Veggies except yesterday. Wednesday was probably lacking Veggies too...
3. What are you planning on doing this coming week to set yourself up for success? Maintain my workout frequency. I'm about to start a 2nd trimester workout program so that will be a nice change. I'm also thinking I should do one more Kegels session daily.
GTKY: Do you follow any social media fitness/health accounts? If so, who inspires you? Not really, but I see ads of Kayla Itsines all the time and she has a few prenatal programs as she had a baby last year.
2. How did you do this past week? Really well! I’ve been running pretty consistently! Although I overdid yesterday and my RLP was screaming...so I am taking a couple recovery days.
3. What are you planning on doing this coming week to set yourself up for success? Listening to my body. If I start a run, and don’t feel well, I will switch to walking. Also, making more conscious healthy choices for eating.
GTKY: Do you follow any social media fitness/health accounts? If so, who inspires you? I follow julie ledbetter on insta and she is awesome!
2. How did you do this past week? I think this week was the first time I really felt like, no I think I need to just take it easy with my workouts. I am used to working out really hard and I tend to think that if I'm not sweating and/or super exhausted, I didn't get a real workout in. Pregnancy is definitely humbling me in the sense that I just have to learn to be proud of myself for getting a little endorphin rush going and then getting on with my day.
3. What are you planning on doing this coming week to set yourself up for success? I am going to start tracking steps instead of focusing so much on working out really hard.
GTKY: Do you follow any social media fitness/health accounts? If so, who inspires you? My favorite right now is @kimperryco ... she is a pregnancy fitness coach and is 33 weeks pregnant herself so I find it helpful to see her experience with trying to stay active during and after pregnancy.
