Thank you @inthewoods23 for getting us started! I think a month at a time makes sense right now with so little participation! 


I've had a rough week -- my egg retrieval was a week ago Friday (May 1) and things went a little wacky and I ended up in the emergency room. Long story short I'm doing much better now but still moving a bit slow.  But we got a good number of embryos to PGS test, so hoping for a good result. 

QOTW: I'd probably pick tennis, I really enjoy playing tennis even though I'm not good at it :-)

@2dogsmom I'm glad you are doing better now! FX for normals

There's not a whole lot going on with me right now. I've got DH on a multivitamin and CoQ10. I'm currently taking my prenatal, vitamin D and E, a probiotic, and DHA. I stopped with the L-arginine because that was just a lot of stuff to be taking plus they were large pills and just meh. Still doing the dairy and gluten free diet to see if that helps so we're giving this a few months before we go back to do a FET.

I told my clinic we'd be holding off on a 2nd FET for now and estimated that we'd probably call back sometime in September or October. If I do get a positive HPT before then, there is some chance my RE will see me since I'm an established patient. I'm happy about that since I would need to spend some time finding a new OB to see me through pregnancy and delivery. My long time OB no longer does that.

QOTW: I'd love to be a gymnast. I think that would be really fun. I really have no skill in it at all and I'm definitely not strong at all at the moment so I'd be a horrible gymnast but it was always a sport I loved watching during the Olympics.

hey everyone! Sorry for being MIA, been crazy busy at work. 

@2dogsmom fingers crossed for you! 

@inthewoods23 glad to hear that your RE will see you if you get a positive HPT in the meantime. Such a relief to know you will have a friendly face. are you off furlough now and back at work? I can't remember the schedule you had sent out last month! Been thinking about you. 

I get my blood test tomorrow, but I am pretty sure it will be negative. All of my HPT have been negative and I am supposed to get my period on Saturday. So that means most likely we will be onto IUI #2 and finishing up the testing we need for IVF. I think we just need to do some sort of special ultrasound?? I was laughing because I feel like I have already had like 25 ultrasounds at this point! 

QOTW: I think I would play soccer. I love team sports!

@nina205 I've been back at work for a week and a half now and the current plan is to be back on furlough next week. It did sound like there could be some possibility that I won't be, but that's a small chance.

Sounds like you need to do the saline sono. They shove a saline solution up there and use US to get a picture of your lining. I've had 2 of those now. If I do need to go back for a FET I will need to do another as it has been so many months since I had the last one.

@inthewoods23 yes that's right! Just got the call from the clinic that my blood test was negative as expected. Onto IUI #2! 

Glad to hear you are back at work for the week, fingers crossed you dont have to go back on furlough or atleast it is the last time!

@nina205 I haven't heard anything different at work so I'm 99% sure I'm furloughed again for a week. And that's fine with me. I can work on some things around the house. The nice thing is, the regular unemployment amount + the extra $600/week that you get right now is not too far off what I actually get paid per week so it doesn't really hurt us financially for me to be on furlough.

How's everyone doing this month? CD1 came around this morning so boo. Our timing wasn't great at all (only O day and the day before) so I wasn't holding too much hope. On to the next cycle for me.

@inthewoods23 sorry about CD1, but hoping this next cycle is the one! I have my second IUI today so fingers crossed! Besides that been adjusting to the new normal, my state is starting to reopen so its been weird as family.neighbors have very different opinions on the matter!

@nina205 GL today! We've ventured out just to my parent's or DH's parents. Definitely no packed house parties!

@inthewoods23 haha yes definitely no house parties! It is wild to see people eating at restaurants but I feel like there is so much judgment circulating these days so I am trying to reserve it!

Thank you! All went well now just onto the two week wait... I have my IVF checklist appointment on the 9th so we can in theory jump right into IVF if this cycle is not successful. Any tips or anything I should ask?

@nina205 hmmm, not sure what you could ask. I tend to just go with the flow because a lot of my questions are related to the timeline/calendar of appointments so I just need to wait to get that. It was a little stressful for me because the week I had every other day monitoring appointments for follicle growth I had training in another town an hour away from my work so I was freaking out about the appointments since I needed to be in the town at 8am. Thankfully one of the nurses could come in for 6:45 appointments. That ended up being all fine. Injections for IVF aren't bad since they're all in the stomach. I had some risk of OHSS so they had me take cabergoline for a few days starting a little before the ER date. They also gave me valium shortly before the procedure so I was nice and chill before going in. I recovered really well and had very minimal cramping. It was no worse than my typical period cramps. YMMV. I actually went out to dinner with my dad and sister that night.
