Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Friday 5/1

    Month/Cycle: 5/4 AL
    CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: prenatals, temping, OPKs, and last night DH said he will make better attempts at HIO this month.  i just bought two new pieces of lingerie to surprise him with as reward for making me feel better last night.
R/R: In much better spirits today :) The workshop is coming along well.  painting is done, now we have to add in lighting and move everything back in and organize.  currently, my washing machine that's in there is unplugged and pulled away from the wall, so while i'll be kicking myself (and complaining here  :p) about all my laundry, it's nice to be physically not able to do it for a few days.  My stressful work project is completed and i think i'll actually have a relaxing weekend.  my parents and sister are coming for an outdoor visit tomorrow since yesterday was my dad's birthday.  socially distanced cake being made today!
CS/Q: thanks to all who chimed in about my LP question yesterday.  I think once i'm better able to talk about it articulately without getting too upset, i will call my OB to chat.  i have a feeling that based on pandemic and it also only having been two cycles i've tracked that i will be advised to keep tracking and wait a month or two, but i suppose that's better than me wishing i brought it up.

    WAYDTGKU: prenatals, temping, currently NTNP

R/R: DH and I are having a date night in tonight. Mostly, it's involving ordering take out from a local restaurant and playing a board game but I'm looking forward to it very much!
I tried calling the vet about another one of my cats this week but I need to follow up. They were on lunch when I called and never got back to me. I'm hoping everything is fine but her canines on top are super long! Like down to her chin. And one of them is longer than the other. That combined with bad breath makes me wonder if she's got a dental issue that should be looked at. I'm hoping the word long fangs is just a weird genetic thing. Including a picture in case you're curious.

  • @asf0613 oops, we must have posted at the same time. Glad you're in better spirits today. And yay for a relaxing weekend ahead! Glad you can still celebrate your dad's birthday, even if it is distanced.
  • asf0613asf0613 member
@gingermama29 wow those are long teeth!  she is a beauty though!!
i have two cats that are 8yrs old.  last year when i brought them to the vet, she advised me to get dentals for them both because the dental health can deteriorate quickly and cause other issues.  very expensive!  though i suppose cheaper than waiting for an issue.  Does she seem to have any discomfort?
  • @asf0613 it's hard to say. She seemed to wince away the other day when I tried to touch, but that also could've been her not wanting me to touch her mouth just because. 🤷 She's a bit skittish around my other two cats and they were in my lap when I tried to investigate the teeth.
  • @asf0613 glad you're feeling better today! Hope you have a good weekend socially distanced from your family!

@gingermama29 awww what a sweet face! Could it be something with her jaw not being in the right place so the teeth stick out more than normal like that? 🤷‍♀️ Not a vet so just ignore me haha

Month/Cycle: month 35 fuuuuuuu.... Nah whatever lol it is what it is

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: HIO with Conceive Plus, PNV, vitamins, probiotic, DH on multivitamin and CoQ10, temping and OPKs

R/R: I spent a good hour working on dishes yesterday afternoon, but I did it! So many pans! Got my cat a checkup appointment for tomorrow. I feel on top of things for once. And TGIF!

CS/Q: big drop back down to pre-O temps. Can't wait to start peeing OPKs haha. But that's not for another week.

@inthewoods23 OMG that is so many dishes! I am spoiled and DH does ours every night (I unload most mornings tho), otherwise mine would be piled up like that for sure lol.

Did anyone watch the Parks and Rec thing last night? I totally forgot but am hoping to find it somewhere today to stream.

CS/Q: Not yet, but thinking O is tomorrow so will hopefully get CHs shortly after.

@gingermama29 i suppose it could just be cats being cats!  but definitely worth asking.  i guess you could maybe try to email in pic to vet or video chat and they might be able to give you a quick answer.  thats what i try to do so they can answer on their own time and i dont wait for a phone call back or sit on hold while they try to get the vet on the phone. good luck!
@inthewoods23 Hi cycle bud  B) i totally relate to wanting to start peeing on sticks ASAP.  ill probably start right as soon as AF ends.  i know it may be early but i want as much data as possible this cycle.  i also just bought a new box of OPKS, i got Mommed instead of Pregmate this time.  they came with their own little pee cups lol so now i dont have to use my disposable cups from my party supply stash
  • asf0613asf0613 member
@legallykate i'm so jealous you trained YH to do dishes.  if i leave them in the sink they just sit until i get to them.  i need to find the Parks and Rec special too.  we cancelled cable like 3 years ago and its hard to find specials like that to stream.  hope you have a somewhat relaxing work day/weekend!
  • @legallykate I heard about the Parks and Rec but had no clue what day they were doing it!

@asf0613 I'm super curious what my OPKs will look like now that it's a fresh cycle. No more cycle suppression drugs to worry about for me this time. Maybe there will actually be some color to start! Lol

  • @inthewoods23 it's possible but when she yawned, they looked to be crazy long so I'm thinking probably not. Ugh doing dishes is the worst. Glad you got them done! DH any I need to be better about staying on top of them. We did well this week but they have a tendency to pile up in my house.

@legallykate enjoy your date night too! I didn't catch P&R last night (I don't have cable) but am planning to watch it today on Hulu. I have to wait for DH to get home from work to watch it though. Boooo. My fault for getting him into the show.

@asf0613 oooh I like the email suggestion. I will look into whether or not that's an option.
  • @asf0613 Yay for your H at being willing to HIO more.  And kudos to you for buying lingerie as a reward.  I hope he enjoys it!  haha  And yay for being in better spirits.  Enjoy the time of no laundry.  It's such a never ending chore it seems.

@gingermama29 I've never seen that on a cat.  Such a pretty kitty though!  I hope the vet gets back to you soon and it's not anything concerning.  Enjoy your date night with H!

@inthewoods23 Yay for you for being on top of things!!  I bet it feels good to get the dishes done.  Hope your appointment tomorrow for your kitty goes well.

@legallykate I'm glad your brief is done!  And yay for an easy work day today.  You deserve it after working so hard this week.  Any fun relaxing plans this weekend to reward yourself?

WAYDTGKU: knowing each other in the biblical sense *wink wink*, peeing on things

R/R: Still no signs of O, still negative OPKs.  Yesterday's OPK was getting darker but today...nothing.  And I still haven't heard back from my doctor about what we're going to do about my high prolactin.  Blah.  I need to stop googling because I'm convinced I have a tumor on my pituitary gland that's causing the high prolactin.  I might be a bit of a hypochondriac.... but I have been right a few times. lol  Looking forward to a relaxing weekend.  Sunday it's supposed to be raining, so I plan to read inside all day.  I've been learning Spanish on Duolingo and am at the point where I can kinda start reading kid stories in Spanish.  I want to get to the point where I can read Harry Potter in Spanish (and actually understand it).

@linzrunz might have to change your username to linzcorre  B) awesome that you are learning a new language!  i've had my college minor-level spanish with me for a bit (and tons of kitchen spanish from working in restaurants).  sounds like you really used your quarantine time wisely!
  • @linzrunz That's super annoying about your OPKs and your doctor! Hopefully it's just a weird hormonal thing and will go away by itself or with meds.

R/R: We got rain in the sunroom again so hoping someone can come check that out next week.  Thankful for some nice weather this weekend.  Hopefully things will be looking good at Sunday's appointment and we will get more than once HIO this cycle.  We also were told our counter top from our kitchen remodel will be installed tomorrow.  Fingers crossed as it has been cancelled 3 times now.

    CS/Q: nothing yet.

@asf0613 glad you are feeling better.  I hope the lingerie works!  Has no effect for me other than cluing him in as to what day it is ;)
@gingermama29 and @inthewoods23 hope all goes well with your kitties
@legallykate I'm also looking forward to streaming it this weekend.  I've only binged a few of the initial seasons so I might be totally confused
@linzrunz wow that's a fun goal!  and should help you maybe stop googling.  I'm such a victim of that myself!

    Have a good weekend all

  • asf0613asf0613 member
@baker_324 so usually lingerie will have no effect but i'm just gonna try! cant hurt i guess.  i bought like 2x $16 things on amazon so i didn't go too crazy.  sounds like you have a lot of home reno going on, which is great! re: parks and rec-you must watch the rest!  i haven't watched the special yet but i have to imagine you would be lost.  the first season or two always felt very disjointed to me, and you need to TREAT YO SELF to the rest of the series  ;)
  • @asf0613 I'm glad you're in better spirits! I can't wait to see the workshop once it's done.
@gingermama29 Board game nights are fun! Hopefully you can get your kitty in to see the vet soon.
@inthewoods23 Hooray for dishes being done!!
@legallykate I'm glad you get a bit of a break after your brief. Fingers crossed O comes soon!
@linzrunz Learning new languages is fun! Hopefully you keep improving. I quit learning Spanish years ago, but I know bits and pieces of several languages thanks to my background in classical vocal training. MH knows German and some Spanish and we both hope to learn ASL sometime. I think languages are a lot of fun.
@baker_324 Sorry about the rain in your sunroom. I hope it's not an expensive fix. Fingers also crossed super hard that your counter top install actually happens this weekend!

R/R: I mentioned in the Funny Friday thread that I'm considering a clinical doctorate (PsyD.) and that I'm going to have a chat with my dad's girlfriend about it. I'm excited and nervous about the possibility of it. I've always said that I don't think I'll ever get a doctorate, but now I'm not so sure. I've been pretty heavily considering it for a few months at this point. I just spent my whole afternoon gathering boxes and breaking them down for a Beltane bonfire tonight. It makes me so happy to get boxes off of my porch. My knee is also feeling marginally better today. Maybe I'll break out my LED poi later and play with them while we burn stuff. My neighbors are moving and I'm kind of sad about it. I'm not a people person and for the most part they keep to themselves but they're super friendly and they always looked after our stuff if we were on vacation. I don't know how the new neighbors are going to be and that makes me nervous.
CS/Q: Nope (but I FINALLY found my BBT therm again today. It slipped between my bed and the wall, so I'll start temps tomorrow. I still have 8-10 days until O).

@ashaislurking it sounds to me like you have the drive and self-discipline to go after this. based on my internet-knowledge of you and your work ethic, i think you need to do this for yourself, instead of years from now wishing you did.  especially now since you're in the mindset of schooling like you are now.  no better time than the present, right?  nice you had a relationship with your neighbors.  we bought our home 3.5yrs ago and barely say hello to ours.  almost feels like that ship sailed.  at least you have the opportunity to be the friendly welcoming neighbor to the newbies!  hope your knee continues to cooperate!!!
