Telling Judgemental Family

So my husband and I have been trying to have a second baby for 3.5 years. After 3 rounds of IUI It's finally happening! My husband and son are completely elated!  However, because my health and how rough my 1st pregnancy/delivery was my family and some friends have made it known they don't think I should have another child. My sister in law once cried and asked me to never have another child. So I'm trying to figure out how to tell them and not feel disappointed if they react negatively to the news. I also feel depressed that I have shared the news with a few friends before family because I'm so scared of their judgement. Any suggestions on how to have the talk?

  • Hi there, welcome! We usually try to avoid one off threads like this, not because we don't like the question, but because otherwise the board gets very cluttered. This question is perfect for the thread "Announcement Planning".
Also, if you haven't already, please read the board organization thread and  introduce yourself in the "Introductions" thread so we can all get to know you!
