Trouble TTC

TTTC Check In Weeks of 4-20 & 4-27

Hi All,
I'm going to change the check-ins to biweekly for right now because we have very low activity on here (I think a lot of people are having to take a break from IF treatments and others are busy with everything else going on), and I think it will be easier discussion wise. If you object just let me know and I'll change it back!!

Please double-check your name and confirm your Dx & Rx. Please let me know if you'd like to update your Dx & Rx!

QOTW: You are running out of quarantine food and someone offers to drop off 4 items. Which 4 food items do you ask for? Why?

Any Rants/Raves from this past week? Tell us about it!

Re: TTTC Check In Weeks of 4-20 & 4-27

  • Hi All,

Today is my 3rd day of stims. Hoping this cycle works! Still hate all the shots!

How is everyone else? It's been so quiet on here lately.

QOTW: As weird as it might sound, frozen peas would be a go-to for me....I really like peas and they are really healthy.  Similarly I would pick black beans and cheese...healthy & I can make it work.  Then, of course, to balance it out I would probably want cookie dough ice cream!
  • @2dogsmom grow little follies grow! Glad to see something happening.

Our stay at home order got extended to late May. My company starting today implemented pay cuts. DH's company recently announced everyone taking a number of weeks unpaid time off. Financially we'll be fine though. I'm a little worried about my job as a good portion of our business is in the oil and gas industry which is basically dead right now so I wouldn't be surprised if more people within my company get let go in the coming weeks. So yeah... that's the state of our household. Everything else is alright with us though.

QOTW: In our household, that's going to be salmon (we eat a lot of that!), carrots, maybe green beans, and yes, lots of ice cream lol. That has been a new thing that we have regularly. I used to almost never buy ice cream and now I'm buying regular ice cream for DH and dairy free ice cream (technically frozen dessert) for me!

  • Hi friends! Sorry for being MIA these past few weeks, it has been crazy!

@2dogsmom Yay for chocolate chip cookie dough! My favorite!! So glad to hear you are back on stims, I know it is a rough journey but I am sure if feels great to be back in treatment.

@inthewoods23 Agreed on the Salmon! We love it as well.. Sorry to hear about all the work troubles, it is a stressful environment right now!

I got my period on Saturday which was exciting for once! Started Femara today and will hopefully trigger/IUI next week sometime. I also have my FemVue test set up for Monday, I am a little nervous about the pain level? Maybe i'm being silly but it freaked me out when the nurse said to take 4 Advil before.. My doctor wants me to do both the FemVue and the HSG before IVF so this should be fun!

QOTW: Hmmm.. I would say chicken- can be made into multiple meals, salmon- it is our favorite, nutrition bars- can be lunch or breakfast or a snack and of course some ice cream!
  • @nina205 how'd the FemVue test go? What is that for? I've seen it mentioned a few times but have no idea what it is.

  • @inthewoods23 It went well! thanks for following up, painful but clear tubes so that is a blessing! The good news is that because my test was so clear they are going to let me skip out on the traditional HSG test. Yay for only one painful tubal test! I go back in on Thursday for a follicle check, hopefully I will trigger then and have an IUI on Friday.

The FemVue is basically the traditional HSG test but instead of using dye and xray they use the ultrasound and air bubbles. My RN said the FemVue tends to be a little less painful for patients, but can also be more sensitive so can be hard to get a clear reading one way or the other...

How are you doing? Any updates from your clinic?

@2dogsmom how are the stims going??
  • @nina205 I remember my HSG being painful, but that was done by my OB before I started seeing an RE and they did not say anything about taking some pain meds to help ease the pain of the procedure. FX for the IUI!

Things at work have changed (I'm furloughed this week). Many others are furloughed through most of May but I'm lucky my group is on a rotating furlough due to the nature of our positions. I go back next week for 2 weeks then get furloughed for another week. So the week will be spent doing a few chores of cleaning and organizing.

I don't think I'll hear from my clinic until I call with my CD1 but DH and I are going to try on our own for a few months so I don't really care when they open back up. They had cancelled everything through April so I wonder if they're doing the same into May since our stay at home order got extended to May 26th.

@2dogsmom you should be close to having your ER or have had it. Hope everything goes smoothly!
